Ron Brewer; phony Navy Corpsman (Update)
Someone encountered this fellow, Ronald Brewer, two years in a row at the Roanoke, Virginia Veterans’ Day parade wearing the Fleet Marine Force Enlisted Warfare Specialist Device (FMFEWS) pin. From what I understand, the pin is for sailors of the corpsmen variety who served with FMF units, not for Marines. But, I’m sure someone who doesn’t know how to cant their rank on their collars wouldn’t understand badges either.
The National Personnel Records Center says “Who?”
UPDATE: The National Personnel Records Center isn’t being helpful. The NPRC found a record for Mr Brewer that the USMC/Navy couldn’t find using the same information. He was a combat engineer in the Marines for less than three years and he got out as a lance corporal (E-3) as opposed to the Gunnery Sergeant (E-7) rank that he claims. Still not a Navy Corpsman;
In this video clip, he lies about his term of service to the reporter;
Thanks, NPRC!

Turd.
I just saw the update.
Still a turd.
No change.
Seriously, as fast as people get any records imaginable, why do they still try?
Because 99.5% of people don’t know how to request records, nor are they so inclined to learn.
That being said, almost anyone who spent more than 3 seconds in JROTC or above knows how collar devices should be worn.
For you posers, that is exactly how the collar rank should be worn…///
And always wear Navy EWS insignia on your Marine uniform. They may not be authorized but they sure look cool.
/sarc
And when you have too many awards, it is authorized to continue them over your right chest pocket. Even in BDU. Remember, the prettier foreign awards go on top.
It’s like stamp collecting. Once you start collecting those exotic foreign ones you can’t stop.
Ribbons are like Pokemon to the SV types…gotta steal ’em all!
Or just tattoo them on your body….
I thought to pointy part went towards the bottom ????
The Warfare device is for Sailors Directly assigned to Marines, and or Navy units attached under Marine control like I MEF,or others. We had several detachments and personnel that served directly under Marine Command MEG that were authorized to earn and wear the device. This instruction has changed though now as the EXW and SWCS pins must be earned while attached to their Expeditionary units. In the end you do not have to be a Corpsman only to have one but must be a Sailor.
Another note, on campaign medals Sailors assigned and attached with Marine units directly engaged in combat are authorized the small Fleet Marine Combat Operations insignia that is worn on campaign medals earned under combat.
I saw PN’s, RP’s and a DK that had one while I was in (all served with FMF units). The first instruction that came out concerning the FMF pin was written by a couple of people that I served with in the FMF side – one was a PN3.
As for assclown RON BREWER, someday some Marines and FMF sailors are gonna confront his lying fraudster ass – and it won’t be pretty!
Yep, I’m with you., I have two small ones earned the hard way, and I cherish those two small FMF devices more than any thing. Our detachments that are under Marine Command and Control on Deployment can still earn the FMFEWS. I just wanted to point it out as he stated Corpsman, it sounded like only them only, so wanted others to know that other type sailors will have it also.
No shit, Senior Chief. Much like those who claim to be brothers of the Phin.
Maybe that’s why I don’t see too many of those phonies–too hard to fake.
Mouth-breathing dildoheaded GOOBER!
You ok, Proud? You’re not up to your usual form. . .
I caught a “bug”, I’ll be OK again soon enough.
And, as seen with other bottom dweller fakers, he just looks of low IQ. I have to be at the Salem VA next week and will be sure to keep a lookout in case he is prowling the passageways..I would relish the encounter
I’d never heard of that particular device.
At first I thought…
The Corps doesn’t do a whole lot of pins and needles, but a pin that recognizes competence in war against enlisted personnel? I knew some officers that must have been multiple awardees.
Same here.
I spent 12 years in the Army and never heard of a
Fleet Marine Force Enlisted Warfare Specialist Device.
However, I have used my Googlefu and am now fully informed and ready to recognize and respect this device on any of our Navy comrades.
I was one of the original qualifiers at IIMEF for the FMF pin. It didn’t come online until right around 2000. You can tell a real old fart when he has both the FMF ribbon (no longer awarded) and the FMF warfare device.lol
Shortly after the enlisted version was approved, the officer version and the chaplain version (sans rifles) were also approved.
For we old timers who served in RVN, Corpsmen earned the respect we gave them. How many times, how many different ways (even to something so petty as “crotch rot”) did we need and appreciate them? Never ever saw one hesitate when he was called on. Marines who have served in any actions in any country have the utmost honor for them we can think of.
Who would be surprised a phony mthrfckr like this would show up and claim to be something he NEVER had the balls to be? Well done for HMCS (FMF)ret and others who restrained themselves from going off like some of us crazy Gyrenes do.
Race card coming in 3..2…1 How else you gonna make your play you CANDY ASS PIECE OF SHIT????? I’m still working on your brother here, and his story is going to make yours look like the clown you are. Yours is pure fairy tale trying to impress the gullible. His is so damned far out there it won’t seem possible that you two had an absent daddy cut from at least the same cloth.
There once was lying con artist named Ronald Brewer
With a mind straight out of the sewer
Talked NOTHIN’ but shit, most everyone bit
But the folks on T A H made him an Internet NITWIT
Wearing hats and getting tattoos are easing than doing the service. This new crop of posers isn’t even trying hard.
Cocksucker.
Looking at his FB page I think he is a bit “slow” to put it kindly.
USMC are not he best at getting records. However If he served ,,, and that is a mighty big if, he probably didn’t last long.
” Looking at his FB page I think he is a bit “slow” to put it kindly.”
Well he WAS a combat engineer in the Marines for less than three years and he got out as a lance corporal (E-3) 😀 😀 😀
Holy Crapola he also has a ring he’s legit
? ? ? ? ? ?
That’s a Donny and Marie/Easy Rider secret decoder ring Skippy. You had to have eaten a box of Cherios to have earned one. Tougher than you might think when you realize it has to be soaked in a bowl of milk.
I’m perplexed over the obvious contradictions displayed in the photo. Deliberately choosing a Marine Corps uniform, affixing a Navy FMF device to it while wearing said uniform in a decidedly not Marine fashion. Actually, not even Navy standards. Not even olden days fleet sailor standards. There’s nothing rebelliously cool going on here.
However,it does seem to suggest a degree of confusion. Self-Identifying as a member of the sea services while honestly conflicted over whether he is truly a sailor or a marine. I’ll call it “Branch Dysphoria.”
Full Disclosure: I lack any and all credentials to support my sarcasm.
Must disagree with you Dash. Your email clearly shows you have far more than two brain cells; thus exhibiting an unfair advantage in holding a discussion with or challenging the claims shown by the clown. Why not be fair about it and tie your brain behind your back after muddling your mind with two bottles of Mad Dog 20/20 on an empty stomach? Then become a temporary mime and wallah!!!!….You and he are ready to begin a conversation in earnest.
You should never kill a mime, because a mime is a terrible thing to waste.
Ermahgerd…Branch Dysphoria. That’s fukkkin funny. Don’t say it too loud though or it could wind up in the next revision of the DSM
Dash, I like and deeply appreciate your take on the dysfunctional quality of Mr. Brewer’s imaginative use of uniform gear and symbols that go with it.
I do find that when someone wants to be part of a group larger than himself, it pays to be involved the whole Star Wars storm trooper/Darth Vader meme, or become a Jedi Knight of some sort. There is also the entire Star Trek Universe, not to mention Battlestar Galactica and Farscape, as well as Babylon 5. And there is a large population demographic of Roman and Greek soldiers, never mind the Renaissance Faire knights in shining armor thingy.
I’m sure that, if Mr. Brewer’s Branch Dysphoria is more closely examined, he’ll find some solace in telling everyone a Dragoncon that he’s Lando Calrissian’s 3rd cousin. Or he could dress up like a Klingon, cause those guys are fookkin’ H-O-T!
His FB page allows posts from non-friends. Lets see how long it him to remove the posts I did on it and block it.
A retard for sure.
Well he WAS a combat engineer in the Marines for less than three years and he got out as a lance corporal (E-3) 😀 😀 😀
Dipshit
I never had a riffle on my shooting badge, but then I shot expert, not sharpshooter.
Looks like a discharge at LCPL, not Gunny and no pledge pin on the record.
..and a good comduct medal
lolz
No spell check at the NPRC I presume.
yeah…the guy that put in my Arctic Service Ribbon….spelled it “Artic”
Dunno how they managed to spell Reconnaissance correct so consistently.
It’s hard to forgive elementary language butchery. In the past, I might have sought clarification. Now, I dont axe.
“marines corp 77thur 90 deacon in church fishing hunting reading spening time with grand s and all5 of my children”
Da fukk….get one of your grandchildren to post on FB for you.
Maybe he is the real-life inspiration for Bubba in Forest Gump?
I’m more inclined to be forgiving in those cases.
The Marine Corporation, a subsidiary of US Navy Industries.
A Lance Coolie that wannabe a Gunnery Sergeant?
Posers gotta pose… and RON BREWER is still at Stolen Valor assclown!
Really don’t know which is the worst….getting out as an E-3, claiming to have been an E-7……or being illiterate enough to tell people you were a Corpsman instead of a Marine.
There is one MINOR DETAIL that does not fit this story. A THREE YEAR enlistment….never heard of such. Either two or four back in the day. Same for either a Navy Corpsman or a Marine Combat Engineer. Make up your mind, Mr. Ain’t Got Shit For Brains. Maybe, just maybe, he was a Marine who enjoyed doing pecker checks for the real Corpsmen. A Marine Combat Penis Prefab Inspector. Betcha he takes as much of his work home nightly as possible.
I did a three-year on my first back in the day.
But I was Army.
Do not know that much about how the USMC does it.
There were two Year Enlistments. It appears to me he signed an extension so he would be able to do a deployment on Okinawa. That would explain him serving 33 months or so instead of 36.
I don’t think that the Marine Corps had an option for two year during the time that he enlisted. He may have been a 3 year enlistment, and since he had less than 90 days after doing an overseas tour, went to Seperations Battalion at Camp Pendleton, AKA W95. Nothing unusual there.
That being said, how could someone that actually serve in the Marine Corps wear their rank insignia all fucked up like in the photo above?
That’s what jumped out at me – he spent at least a few years in the Corps and he still can’t place his chevrons at least somewhat close to properly???
And his Facebook page is unavailable. Probably undergoing a thorough cleaning.
This turd needs a flushing! When his facebook does come back to life it will be the no open comments variety. Looking at some of the pictures he is seen with what appears to be members of the Marine Corps League. I wonder if any of them ever questioned his uniform and service claims.
