Hippies deface WWII Memorial

| November 8, 2016

NoDAPL

A group of teachers from Bismark, North Dakota traveling with some students to the nation’s capital discovered that vandals had defaced the North Dakota column of the World War II Memorial with “#NoDAPL” (meaning “No Dakota Access Pipe Line).

One of the teachers posted the photo to Facebook and it’s also been written about on Say Anything Blog and MyNDNow.

I hate stank-ass hippies.

These fools think only their little pea-brain opinions matter.

Horsewhips should be applied to same.

Jumpmaster

I would love to be in the area and see some dirtbag with a paint can approaching the memorial. It would be a lively discussion.

Mick

Lively discussion?

Or perhaps ‘deface’ some hippies?

2/17 Air Cav

Phukers. Stupid ass phukers.

ex-OS2

Fucking cocksuckers.

Sapper3307

The tribe only wanted a $110.000.000 for the land. So pipelines good for the tribe and Earth if you pay price.

Sparks

Just like casinos.

jonp

Yeah, well since the pipeline is not crossing any reservation it sounds like a blackmail scheme to me. I think I’ll try it with a powerline. “hey, your crossing my neighbors land so I’ll sue you unless you give me a couple of million”

IDC SARC

WTF kind of skewed fukking logic decides this is appropriate behavior?

The Al

The same group that claims they’re against the pipeline because it’s bad for the environment as they burn tires in protest.

Ceefour

Bet me they don’t vote democrat…bet me they aren’t stoners.

Hayabusa

I was just there with my family yesterday. I saw the spray paint and wondered “What kind of an asshole sprays graffiti on the WWII memorial?”

Now I guess I know.

Note to the hippies and those who would defend them:

If your goal is to make a point, don’t piss off the people you’re trying to convince. Leaving aside the merits of your case, which I don’t know enough about to argue for / against, your choice of communication – defacing a precious national treasure – essentially alienated a lot of people who might otherwise agree with you.

A part of me suspects that this might (MIGHT!) have been a false flag operation designed to make hippies look bad, but I don’t make any claims to truth on that one.

Ceefour

Hippities ARE bad…….beatnicksGOOD.

A Proud Infidel®™

To me this is further proof that everyone needs to HAVE YOUR LOCAL HIPPIES SPAYED OR NEUTERED.

I’m also all for having a “National Beat a Hippie Month” where any working taxpayer can beat as many hippies as he or she wants to every day BUT will be only be allowed to beat 12 hippies per day the rest of the year.

26Limabeans

I like the daily bag limit but how many can I keep in possession for later beating?

Sparks

Where can I buy my tag? Also, are brass knuckles allowed and if so, may I use mine which have the pommel on one side?

The Other Whitey

How about trench maces?

A Proud Infidel®™

NO possession limits have even been considered and currently proposed methods are steel pipe, club, brass knuckles, baseball bat, gauntlet gloves, slingshot, mace, trench knife, axe and/or pickaxe handle, ball peen hammer, hockey stick, broomstick, and tree branch. NO permits necessary.

Sparks

Filthy little sons of bitches.

Sparks

What’s wrong with some nut sacks and nipples hanging from the memorial as a reminder to all the “free to be, you and me” hippie, liberal ass holes.

Shitbags!

Dapandico

Two years ago the pipeline didn’t matter to the Indian tribes. Follow the money.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

Regardless of whether you believe the pipeline to be a travesty or not, this would be unacceptable on any level. Or at least it should be.

I’m not a fan of potentially poisoning anyone’s water with a spill after seeing Flint Michigan and how it was handled, but I can’t condone defacing this property to make my case.

I’ve no quarrel with those against the pipeline occupying Standing Rock Sioux lands to block access, and I certainly encourage them to litigate this pipeline into the stratosphere if possible. But a monument to the people who fought and died to protect the right to protest is the wrong vehicle to express oneself in this fashion.

jonp

it doesn’t occupy Standing Rock Sioux lands. The indians and their supporters actually want to declare all of North and South Dakota, Eastern Montana, Northern Nebraska and Eastern Minnesota “ancestral lands” and have final say over anything that happens there. Unless they are paid off that is

nbcguy54ACTUAL

They’re just upset because blacklivesmatter has been getting all of the attention…

26Limabeans

And the money.

The Other Whitey

This is one of those problems that could be solved very well with the proper application of violence.

OWB

Hippies in general don’t understand simple concepts like public property not meaning they can do whatever they want there without consequence. Well, sometimes they can (like what they did to the US Capitol in late January 2007) but not always.

OWB

P.S. I hate stinking, filthy hippies. They generate entirely too much garage and expect others to follow them around picking up their messes.

From the US Army Corps of Engineers website:

Question: How has USACE met its Tribal Trust Responsibility to the Tribes?

Answer: Tribal Consultation is a key obligation under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Consultation began in September 2014. In that time, USACE representatives, including the Omaha District Commander met with consulting parties (Tribes; State and Tribal Historic Preservation Offices, the ACHP, and interested parties) more than 250 times [according to the USACE Environmental Assessment Administrative Record]. USACE met with tribal leaders on several occasions, attended comprehensive consultation meetings with representatives from numerous Tribes; have met with individual Tribes, and have attempted to accommodate specific requests. USACE continues to meet government-to-government in accordance with federal trust responsibilities. All Tribal comments are fully considered before any final decision requiring Section 106 consultation is made.

In other words, they had two years to register any complaints! And now they want to raise a stink?

Susan

I think they have been raising a stink all along.

Zip

Phuk. Them. Any chance the US Park Service caught these dirtbags on camera?

Roger in Republic

Perhaps it is time for a new game of “Cowboys and Indians”. This time we get to use air power.

Ceefour

It wasn’t Jack Kerouac cause he was a beatnik and he stone cold daid….

Ceefour

And happy NEW PRESIDENT DAY……..yall
