Friday morning feel good stories

An intruder in Auburn, Georgia encountered an armed homeowner who fire a shot a him. The intruder left at a high rate of speed and police were unable to locate him, but they think that he was uninjured in the encounter.

William L. Shinkle of Victor, Idaho was discovered in a home by the resident. Shinkle fired his weapon at the hapless victim several times, missing him each time. The homeowner’s son grabbed a shot gun and blasted once at Shinkle who was struck in the abdomen – he’s recovering at the hospital.

Stories are scant today, but the cops have been picking up the slack. For example in Billings, Montana, Tarrant County, Texas, Dallas, Texas, San Francisco, California, Carrollton, Texas, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Portland, Oregon, and San Gabriel, California.

I doubt that there are less acts of thuggery, but that we readers are not scanning our local news’ online sites, and gathering these stories for you, Jonn.If more of us worked to offer them we could have a full column every day. I am adding a couple more local areas to my daily news read, just for this purpose.
