Wednesday morning feel good stories

| October 19, 2016

We talked a bit about Bruce Jolly last month when he broke into a woman’s home and she shot him in Topeka, Kansas. Bruce was sentenced yesterday to 57 months in prison, and the homeowner who shot him wasn’t charged.

When an intruder started banging on a door in Elkhart, Indiana, a nervous 14-year-old secured his mother’s gun hoping to protect his two siblings from the danger. When his sister startled him, the gun discharged into his leg and his sister’s thigh. You should really train your kids, if they’re going to know where to find the gun.

30-year-old Dorval Grice was found unconscious in a Chicago, Illinois apartment where he had climbed through an unlatched window and tried to force a 58-year-old woman to have sex with him. She bonked him on the head with a glass mug, then went to work on his noggin with a crowbar she leaves near her bed for protection. He’s being held on a $1/4 million bail.

By the time I was 12 years old, I was “Range trained and qualified” on firearms. I knew where the loaded rifle and shotgun were kept in my parents bedroom, and my younger sisters and I had been instructed that the bedroom was our place to regroup in the event of a need to. Kids that don’t know how to use and respect firearms are the ones that get hurt with them.

“Lookin’ for love in all the wrong places. . . ”
I guess that 58yo woman wasn’t quite the MILF you were expecting.
Bringing your dick to a crowbar fight…..? hehehehhehe HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Wrong sized stick.
I guess he didn’t suffer any brain damage. But he’ll get plenty of colorectal straightening therapy from Bubba, Thor, Tiny, and “Dr” Julio.

Doc Savage

I’m sure he did suffer some brain damage…but really, would anyone notice the difference?

Graybeard

One has to have a brain for it to be damaged.
I’m not sure he had one left.

Silentium Est Aureum

Sadly the boy didn’t do what he should have done first and get his siblings into a spot with orders to stay there and call 911, THEN get the gun.

Yeah, I know. 14 year olds aren’t all that big on SA, but still.

Graybeard

Have to give him kudos for trying to protect his siblings.

And anyone faced with their first emergency has a possibility of not acting wisely.

Hopefully all the siblings get range time now.

Hondo

Talk about yer modern-day “Steely Dan III from Yokohama”! (smile)

Sisters never listen anyways. They can also be a real pain in the leg.

Mick

Ha! I see what you did there.

OldManchu

A crowbar? How on earth do people live in locations that force them to wield crowbars instead of guns for self defense?

Graybeard

The devil you know.

Human beings have long shown a propensity for adapting to unreasonable situations and accepting them as “normal.”

11B-Mailclerk

I know a few people that either do not like guns in private hands, or do not want the responsibility for having one around. (Kids, idiot relatives, chemichally troubled spouse, etc)

They do, however, intend to repel incursions using:

Baseball bat

antique swords (Katana, Gladius, etc)

Hatchets, stashed in every room.

Better the weapons that comfort you, that you keep ready to hand, than the thing you fear that is locked in a box somewhere.

Pinto Nag

Take a look at YouTube for self defense with swords/knives/axes. I bet the perps wish they’d been shot!
