“Refugees of Genocide?” Hardly.
Well, we have a bit more info about the demographics of those Syrian “refugees” admitted to the US (with “thorough screening”, of course) over the last several months. And the numbers are . . . interesting.
In March, the US government “determined . . . that abuses carried out by ISIS (sic) against Christians and other minorities in areas under its control constitute genocide.” That, presumably, was one reason for the inane decision by that group of naive fools in charge Administration’s recent decision to “open the floodgates, security be damned” relax policy concerning Syrian “refugee” admissions.
So, that means the majority of refugees being admitted are Christians or other minorities, right? I mean, those are the groups being persecuted by Daesh – so wouldn’t they get priority in admission?
Short answer: in your dreams, perhaps. But not in reality.
In June, 2,381 Syrian “refugees” were admitted to the US. Of that total, a whopping eight – or less than 0.336% – were Christians fleeing persecution. The grand total of 9 others were “other minorities”: eight who were non-Sunni Muslim, and one other individual who did not disclose their religious affiliation (if any).
The other 2,364? Sunni Muslim, just like Daesh.
May was much the same. During May, 1,069 Syrian “refugees” were admitted to the US. Of those, 2 – that’s slightly more than 0.187% – were Christian; seven (nearly 0.655%) were of minority Muslim sects. The remainder (1060, or just over 99.158%) admitted to the US in May were Sunni.
Finally, the article has monthly demographic totals since last October. Over the past 9 months, the US has admitted 5,186 such “refugees” – presumably fleeing religious persecution by Daesh. Of that total, a whopping 20 were Christian; 67 were other religious minorities. The rest were Sunni.
Percentage-wise, that’s less than 0.4% Christian and less than 1.3% “other” religious minority that have been admitted by the US from Syria over the last nine months. That means that over 99.3% of those admitted were Sunni Muslim – just like Daesh.
“Refugees of religious-based genocide”? Hardly. When over 99% of those admitted aren’t even members of the groups supposedly being targeted for religious genocide, any claim that the US is admitting more refugees because they’re somehow “victims of genocide” is very obviously bullsh!t.
CNSNews has a good article concerning the recent Syrian “refugees” admitted to the US. It confirms what many of us have long suspected: the current Administration is simply letting anyone who claims they’re a refugee come through the front door, NQA. Any “screening” being done is merely for show – not for “go/no go” decisions on who’s to be admitted.

My in-laws came to this country as refugees from genocide (now they’re very proud and happy to be Americans) in 1980. They are not impressed with this shitshow.

Daesh kills more Sunni than anyone else, always has. Look at Jonn’s post from yesterday. They are occupying predominantly Sunni towns in traditionally Sunni regions, and once they take power they start killing anyone who either doesn’t follow their strict view of Islam or those that pose a threat to their control.
Isis is Salafi, essentially the Independent Fundamentalists of Islam. They view Christians as polytheistic and Jews along with most other Muslims (especially Shia) apostates.
apostacy is the worst crime in Islam. SAlafists view anyone that is not a salafist or does not immediately convert as one who has turned their back on Islam They will kill Christians and Shia, of course, but most of whom they encounter are Sunni. On the battlefield In Iraq they meet either Kurds or Iranians or Iraqis. The Kurds are mainly Sunni, but they also typically win their battles. They also meet Shia: Iranians, who also win, or Iraqis, who run away.
This leaves only Sunni civilians to kill/death/murder, which they do with great vigor. They have to in order to maintain control.
ISIS is often portrayed as barbarians, and they are, but behind them is a very sophisticated plan developed by very smart people. They have at their disposal a mainly illiterate army of men who are the emotional equivalent of a middle school boy with an AK, in a world where the only way they will ever have money or status is to fight and (more importantly in many ways) the only way they will ever get laid is by capturing a woman on the battlefield or buying a ‘wife’.

This is only a joke in part; generally speaking, ISIS only executes the ‘passive participant’ in a male homosexual act, if you follow my meaning.
Just as muslim women that are raped are often later killed by their fathers or brothers (look up ‘honor killings’ if you aren’t familiar), ISIS often regards the active participant as having been enticed by the other and basically just guilty of bad judgment, not necessarily the sin of homosexuality. This is especially true if the active participant is an ISIS bigshot.

The fact that Daesh may kill more Sunni than any other sect falls into the “true but irrelevant” category. Indeed, exactly that is what you’d expect to see based on pre-civil war population demographics.
The current US Administration has publicly proclaimed this a “genocide” based on religion, and is using this fact to justify allowing more refugees entry to the US in order to provide a safe haven for those persecuted groups. Logically, that implies that they should be preferentially admitting the victims of the groups targeted by Daesh genocidal actions. The numbers say that’s anything but the case; the opposite is true.
Syria’s pre-civil war population was approximately 74% Sunni; approximately 16% non-Sunni Muslim; and approximately 10% Christian (other religions made up less than 1% of Syria’s population). So if Daesh were simply killing everyone they saw that wasn’t a Daesh supporter, 74% of their victims would be Sunni.
However, the Daesh genocidal actions have been directed against Syrian Christians and non-Sunni Muslims and have hit those communities harder than the Syrian Sunni population. If we (the US) were truly admitting refugees to alleviate genocide, refugees we admitted would have proportionally more of those persecuted groups than would be expected based on pre-war population demographics – because those are the groups being unjustly killed and requiring protection. That demonstrably is not the case. The persecuted groups are hugely underrepresented, while the majority Sunni sect is grossly over-represented, in the refugee population currently being admitted.
In short, the Administration is misleading the American public here. Again.
When a muslim kills a non-muslim, it’s genocide. When a muslim kills a muslim, it’s insha’allah….

I’m pretty sure they’ve killed plenty more than just Sunnis. Heard of the Yazidis they butchered? Or the Christians?
The question still remains of whether we can actually do something about this still, or if we have no choice but to wait for the inevitable and fight the urge to say “I told you so”. Then comes the political spin. I just hope not too many lives will be lost in the process.
Is ISIS deliberately waging genocide against Sunnis in the levant? I personally never saw it that way, and I don’t see the case for it. I think they are definitely waging genocide against Christians, yazidis, shia, etc.
However, Sunni Islam is not monolithic, and the Salafic (fundamentalist/wahhabist) form practiced (or at least preached) by ISIS leaves very little room for interpretation.
Therefore, just about everyone they come across can be justifiably killed in the name of Islam.
No surprise here, considering the track record of this admin. I’m not sure if the CinC is Muslim or not. I say this by observing his actions not by listening to some conspiracy theorist. I tend to think he has no faith in anything because that would have him admit that there is a higher being out there other than himself, and he just can’t fathom that.
With that said, he definitely has a soft spot in his heart for Muslims. He blatantly bends over to take care of them in any and every way that he can. Even to the detriment of any other faith group.
He is ok with placing any and all Americans in harm as long as he gets to help his brethren out. I feel that the hate that he has for this country leads to him having a desire to see the US turn into a third world shit hole. Why should he care? He and his family will always be safe and have protection from the violence that he helps establish in this country. Once the rest of the US resembles Detroit, the government will be able to take more control and be able to dictate more of our lives.
Good thing that there are enough 25yo and younger citizens out there that know every damn thing to help reform this country from the terrible into paradise.
