Richard Fancy; Canadian embellishment
One of our Canadian fans sent us some of the information on this real Canadian sergeant major by the name of Richard Fancy, he was the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Halifax Rifles, but apparently that wasn’t enough for him. He pretended to have served in Somalia, West Asia and Afghanistan and he claimed that he was a paratrooper with the Airborne Reconnaissance Troops. He was illegally and fraudulently wearing the Canadian Somalia Medal, the General Campaign Star (South West Asia) and, the Canadian Forces Parachutist Insignia.
And that’s him in the middle holding the trophy on your left of the trophy;
Category: Phony soldiers, Valor Vultures
How sad…..to flush an otherwise perfectly honorable career.
HE JUST HAD TO shit, piss, and spit all over not just a perfectly good and honorable career, but all over his own name and reputation which will make his family suffer as well. Stupid lying HOSER!!!
Fancy,Dick.
There. I said it.
Thank you! I’ve been waiting for someone to say that since last night.
Kudos to the Canadian military for recalling him and nailing him, even if only symbolically. It’s more than we seem to be willing to do in the USA.
Nice to see that they recalled him to CM his stupid ass. I’d bet he was one of those assholes like Grey Rather who just loved to throw his “service” in people’s faces and expected to be treated like a God.
BTW – any news on the fraudster Grey? Maybe we can have an update/visit from his butt buddy, Capt. Bullshit Dogfucker?
I cannot imagine a worse punishment for a legit Vet who goes phony than what happened to Mr. Fancy. Let’s go to the tape…
I have both seasons of that show on DVD. Loved it s a ten-year-old, still do.
Douchebaggery apparently knows no borders.
Cocksucker.
Gee,
I think under our UCMJ to recall a retiree for courts martial on a similar offense, the accused would have to have been wearing the unearned medals while they were still on active duty, then after they retired it was caught or something. For a retiree to wear an unearned device after retirement is stupid but not recallable I think. I’ve seen retired guys wearing stuff like the unauthorized combat armor badge or similar cold war medal with what I assume to be their legitimate awards.
Details of Fancy’s medallic fuckery (TM) have been published on the Canadian Armed Forces JAG web site… http://decisia.jmc-cmj.forces.gc.ca/jmc-cmj/cm/en/item/143812/index.do
