Ronald Taylor impersonates police for free coffee

| February 16, 2016

According to WKRN, Ronald Taylor was at Golden Corral and flashed his badge and a gun at the clerk and told him that he expected a free drink with his meal. unfortunately for him, there was a real police officer in line. The real cop asked Taylor if he was law enforcement and he answered in the affirmative;

Taylor reportedly confirmed he was a police officer and said he was with DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, and was in town on some business.

Police determined Taylor is actually an insurance agent in Kentucky. The concealed permit and badge were from the state of Kentucky.

The badge;

I wondered who was buying those things, now I know.

Anyway, Mr Pantstuckedintohiscowboyboots is currently sitting in jail with $500 bail pending.

John Dopson

In the same vein, Davy sends us a link to story from Jacksonville, Georgia (population 140 souls) where the mayor, John Dopson, was arrested for impersonating a police officer of the town by the local sheriff.

Dopson declined to take blood and urine tests, “indicating the reason for his refusal was because he knew it would show positive for ‘weed,'” according to the statement.

In addition to the impersonation charge, he was charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

The sheriff’s office said it had been investigating the mayor for some time “in response to numerous complaints related to the daily personal use of a marked and equipped City of Jacksonville patrol car by an individual who possesses no law enforcement authority.”

Dopson became mayor last year in spite of the fact that he facing aggravated assault charges. I guess when there are only 140 people in town, choices for mayor are fairly limited.

When I recently saw an ad on Facebook for these “Concealed Weapons” badges, I knew that there would be a market for them. Posers everywhere will be ordering, and flashing them. Having goods for those who have no clue is a big business. I suspect that the Cheeseslayer will have his or have a plan to get it when he can get some woman to give up the $29.95 + S&H.

C2Show

Pretty sure Dennis probably got his son to buy him that badge.

akpual

We don’t need no stinking badges. Good lord, wherinhell do these people come from???

streetsweeper

I’ll say not only a good way to get in trouble, but shot grave yard dead.

OWB

Ya gotta love it when a plan comes together. Fortunately, folks who claim being cops in public places run a good chance of doing so in front of a real cop.

Anyone claiming something they didn’t earn is disgusting, even if it’s only a cup of coffee. Claiming to be a cop to avoid a drug test? Wow – that’ pretty good.

Dave Hardin

Damn, 25 years running restaurants and never once had this opportunity. I live for moments like that.

Let’s see, I am trying to guess what my managers would have told a guy flashing anything and demanding free stuff.

“I am sorry, the owner has authorized me to tell you to go fuck yourself. In fact, he is on the way and would like the opportunity to express that policy in person. Please just stay right there for a moment.”

MustangCryppie

Tacky, tacky, tacky. I never asked for, never mind demanded, anything cause I was a cop.

UpNorth

Ditto, Cryppie.

Once upon a time, Corrections Officers working in the state prisons in Texas were issued badges complete with their own little wallet thingy. Don’t know why – we didn’t wear them in uniform, we weren’t “sworn” LEOs. Got a lot of COs jacked up playing cop…

BTW, to my knowledge they don’t issue those any more.

Two idiots for the price of one. This is quality entertainment.

Dude should flash a Dog The Bounty Hunter badge next time.

Silentium Est Aureum

Poseur fucks who worked for DHS?

Who do we know that fits that bill? Bueller? Bueller?

thebesig

Well, it looks like that stunt earned him something better than a free drink at Golden Corral. He ended up getting free drinks and meals at the Gray Clink.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Cockmeat sammiches and tube steak… all they can eat!!!

Stupid fucks… enjoy your time in jail. I know Bubba, Thor, Julio and Mr. “Tiny” will enjoy you!

CAARNG 68W

Isn’t the whole situation with the dude, you know the one who wasn’t a small town mayor, technically armed robbery?

Martinjmpr

I first saw those ‘concealed weapons’ badges probably 20 years ago, about the time that “shall issue” CCW permits started gaining traction across the country.

IIRC the purported justification was that if by chance someone saw your legally concealed weapon, seeing the badge would let them know you were “OK” instead of a potential criminal.

Of course, for the way it’s actually used, the badge might as well say “Cop Wannabe.” A good way to get busted for felony impersonation even if you aren’t begging for a free cup of coffee.

Carlton G. Long

What is especially ironic is that many police officers will not even accept free drinks/coffee any longer, even if offered.

B Woodman

Wanna-be cop, high on weed, mayor in a town where “everyone knows your name”? Stoopidity on steroids. How EVER did this dolt get elected? Maybe I should go down there and run against him in the next election. BTW, how much does this gig pay?

Veritas Omnia Vincit

I hope they ruin this asshole and he dies in poverty and misery alone in the rain under a bridge somewhere….

I am sick and tired of hearing about how some lying cocksucker thinks he’s a fucking big shot and fakes being a cop, a ranger, a sniper or whatever.

Maybe I’m having a bad day all around what with the thieving bastards at the VA going unpunished and fucking morons like this thinking that Golden Corral owes him a soda with his buffet meal…

I grew up with nothing, I joined the military, I put myself through school without the military’s help, I got a house without the military’s help and I put four kids through college without anyone’s help but my own two hands and brain. I risked their future and mine to make something from nothing. I am fortunate that it all worked out and I have some money now and am lucky to not have lost it all, but it never occurred to me at any point in this trip to take what wasn’t mine by falsehood or force.

That makes me no different than anyone else here which I realize, I don’t say it to pretend I’m something special I’m just another guy who worked his ass off to get ahead just like all of you and I have had it with fucking bum losers, high priced bureaucrats and above the law senior officers who think they are owed something. Nobody owes you a fucking thing assholes. You want something, get off your lazy dead ass and fucking earn it or do the rest of us all a favor and fuck off and die so you aren’t a parasite any more.

IDC SARC

Well said.

(though I have used the GI Bill for education and mortgages with much gratitude)

Veritas Omnia Vincit

I don’t begrudge you that brother, you earned it for certain. I was lucky and didn’t need it so I didn’t want to take it from someone who might regardless of whether or not I also earned it…same with my home, I could have taken a VA loan but I didn’t need to take one and I have a ridiculously low rate and almost nothing left to pay…so little in fact I’m off to the Boston Boat Show to figure out how to part with some of what I’ve earned….

Thank you for the kind words.

Dave

I like your gratitude attitude.

You did earn your benefits, but it is good to hear about it with a perspective of gratitude.

It is kind of like, even though we earn the money for our food, etc., we can still be grateful for it, just the same.

A gold star for your forehead. Made my day.

Ex-PH2

Gee, VOV, you’re awfully polite today. You okay?

Veritas Omnia Vincit

Hehehe, thanks for that…yeah Okay….

Just tired of whiners and thieves, had someone take something small from me at my shop…without asking…

The thing is had they asked I’d probably have given it without question because it’s not a big deal…but they just took it instead and it’s small money really small money but it’s the concept that they didn’t even feel they needed to ask that’s screwing with me today.

I had nothing as a kid, and I mean nothing we were about as poor as you can imagine…getting one thing for Christmas that wasn’t badly needed clothing pretty much never happened, which is why I started working at 14 to help out with my family’s income levels…my farm job and paper money allowed my younger brothers to experience a far different childhood than I did. During all of that I would never in my life have considered taking anything I didn’t pay for with my own hard work.

So this employee that took this small thing, well it just shocked me is all.

Like I said I’d have gladly given it at any time it was asked of me, it’s just I expected the courtesy of being asked if you know what I mean….

I’ll be over it tomorrow most likely, it was just a surprise to me and I’m not usually surprised by people anymore because I’ve taken care to learn who will be good and who won’t over the years. Good employee works hard, does what we ask and shows up and puts in overtime as requested and is always willing to work…so I’ll probably just pull him aside after hours and talk to him….let him maybe see my point of view and hope he gets it. and then let it go.

I’m getting better at that as I get older Ex-PH2, there was a time I’d have fired him on the spot and called it thievery, now it’s more stupidity than thievery but still pissed me off…guess I’m not as mature as I was hoping I’d be at this point.

Frankie Cee "In the clear"

VOV,if they took something of “small money”, do you think that they would pass on something of greater value? As I see it, if someone would take something of little value, there is nothing that they wouldn’t take, and if one would tell a little lie, what lie wouldn’t they tell?
That shit burns my butt too.

Instinct

I don’t know, VOV, Obama told me that we didn’t build any of the things we have without the benevolent help of our betters in the government.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

Indeed he did, the man who never built a fucking thing in his life is trying to tell those who did why they didn’t really build it.

I notice he left out the parts about how the government was unable to build anything resembling an infrastructure without taking money from those of us who didn’t actually build anything that created wealth…

Instinct

Obama has never let things like facts get in the way of his agenda.

OIF '06-'07-'08
