Malheur standoff still ending
The Associated Press reports that the Great Malheur National Poser Convention is still in it’s death throes at the wildlife refuge. The Feds have shut off access to the facility and the occupiers are still demanding that the feds refrain from arresting them for being criminals.
At the refuge, the occupiers yelled at officers to back off and prayed with supporters over the open phone line streamed by an acquaintance of holdout David Fry.
Fry, 27, of Blanchester, Ohio, sounded increasingly unraveled as he continually yelled, at times hysterically, at what he said was an FBI negotiator.
“You’re going to hell. Kill me. Get it over with,” he said. “We’re innocent people camping at a public facility, and you’re going to murder us.
“The only way we’re leaving here is dead or without charges,” Fry said, adding that armored vehicles surrounded their camp.
Oregon Live names the holdouts;
Those left at the refuge 30 miles southeast of Burns are David Fry, 27, of the Cincinnati area, Jeff Banta, 46, of Elko, Nevada, Sean Anderson, 47, and his wife Sandy, 48, of Riggins, Idaho.
The live stream provided a remarkable front row seat for the nation to listen in as the holdouts faced the FBI move. At points, a phone left on inside the occupiers’ camp picked up demands from agents over loudspeakers.
“Come out with your hands up,” a law enforcement official was heard saying.

The holdouts all face arrest on a federal charge of conspiracy for their roles in the armed occupation. They are among 16 indicted on that charge. They were told they had to surrender.
“There’s nowhere for you to go,” one officer was heard saying.
Fry shouted back, “We’re leaving tomorrow.”
I love how folks who are backed up against the wall and have no place to go will still act like they have some kind of upper hand in negotiating position. I guess they figured that they have enough gummy dicks to last them until today. Oregon Public Broadcasting says that the occupiers plan on surrendering tonight.

Fox is still reporting that these dipsticks said they would turn themselves in at 8AM this morning local to the FBI. No word on whether or not that actually happened, and it wouldn’t surprise me that that was a lie.

FWIW: Cliven Bundy – father of the two Bundy brothers who earlier were involved in this idiocy – was also arrested in Portland yesterday.
So the Bundy family will be reunited! They can organize the prison rodeo.
At 7AM they were expecting Franklin Graham to negotiate for them, so they’re still milking every drop of publicity out of it.

Rather than storming Cliven Bundy’s ranch in 2014, the feds waited until he ventured out of it and took him peacefully. Patiently waiting for their opportunity likely prevented a lot of bloodshed. Pretty smart, IMO.
Except that Bundy wasn’t arrested for flying to Portland, and Santilli wasn’t arrested for broadcasting on YouTube.
They were arrested because their own stupidity played into the hands of the Feds.
There’s definitely a kind of defiant lunacy at work here.
In the back of my mind I seem to recall hearing about an incident – not the famous “NUTS!” incident with BG McAuliffe and the 101st Airborne at Bastogne but another incident where an American force was surrounded by a much superior German force, and the Germans sent in a negotiator under a white flag with a note offering to discuss “Terms of Surrender.”
The Americans replied that they agreed it was a good idea to have such discussions and that they were willing to accept the German commander’s surrender on the ground that all his troops lay down their weapons and come out with their hands up.
I don’t know if that was something that really happened or if it was from a movie or a book but I’ve always liked that kind of crazy bravado.

If there are any reasons why the so-called patriot/III% movement has a tit mouse of legitimacy, THIS IS IT.
Granted, there are a few of those that are true patriots/III%, but you will not know us because we keep a low profile, no blogs or web sites that preach tin-foil hat conspiracy theories, or let’s kill anyone in .gov and so forth. We are out on the political front lines. We win some battles, we lose a lot of battles, but those lost battles still carry absolutely no legitimacy to violently overthrow the current system as it stands.
The true fight for freedom is a marathon, and not just some short sprint to the finish line, and there are so many that have never lived to see the finish line. They sure as hell were not a bunch of couch potatoes/key board warrior types that would have come up with a better plan and op-order with the needed logistics to carry out their numb-nuts type occupation that these idiots tried.

So I guess David is now backing out of his agreement to surrender and is, basically, begging the Feds to kill him. Good grief.
Something that doesn’t seem to make any sense is that when LaVoy Finicum was shot there was an exit by as many as 40 occupiers from Malheur that same night. None of whom, apparently, were arrested. Of the four who remained, only Sean Anderson was named in the original warrant list. The other three could have walked anytime they wanted, and have only been added to the arrest list within the past few days.
It’s also surprising that the feds haven’t resorted to more extreme PsyOps measures to end the standoff; a few hours of vintage disco music played over loudspeakers at top volume would probably have had the place emptied by now…

After the initial arrest, there were a few of those leaving who were arrested. There were quite a few who were there who were smart enough not to flap their cock-holsters in public or in Social media about killing feds.
The ones that were the loudmouths got scooped up, the rest were let go.
Sean Anderson was the only one of the 4 remaining who had a warrant. The other morons have either been publicly calling for armed people to come and shoot their way into the refuge with a fresh supply of gummy dicks or saying they will interfere with the arrest of Anderson.
It’s a bird refuge, among other things, they can’t play very loud sounds out there because of that. If they didn’t have that restriction, this would have been ended far sooner.

Dunno. It seems to me there were a lot of people who got down and wrestled in the mud on this one. My own view is that there were only about three people who had their heads screwed on straight for the whole sorry mess: Michael Hogan, the judge who made the original sentencing in the Hammond case; Greg Walden, the congressman for Harney County who is aware of the kinds of games BLM plays with the ranchers, and; David Ward, Sheriff of Harney County who seemed to handle things with patience and competence, and who is probably wondering about now why he ever ran for public office.
Yup, it’s over. No more bloodshed.
Hopefully this will be a lesson to the Oath Keepers, III%ers and other wannabe revolutionaries that the government takes this shit seriously.

Once again we learn that deciding to take federal property by force of arms is a bad idea. These… assclowns… actually had a couple of legitimate gripes. But as soon as they decided that “occupying” federal property by force of arms was the best course of action and invited all the wannabe’s and posers, any semblance of legitimacy was pissed away.
Well, there is a lot of blustering here and I know all of you folks are brave patriots and served your country. And what these folks did was foolish. However, does that mean you all agree on what was done to the Hammonds for all those years? Seems to be being tried as terrorists for setting a backfire to stop a fire started by lightning is a bit of a stretch for the law that was used to convict them and I didn’t even mention all of the malfeasance by the judge and prosecuting attorney during the trial. And OBTW, if you are wondering my credentials, I served honorably as an Air Force ground pounder for over 20 years before retiring way back in 1986 and yea, you can make all the disparaging remarks you want about the flyboy military service it will not bother me one bit.
