Monday morning feel good stories

| February 8, 2016

First up this morning, in Pensacola, Florida, Jarell Blackmon entered a convenience store wearing camouflaged clothing and a mask. he pulled out a gun and robbed the clerk of some money and cigarettes. The clerk was able to get to his own gun before young Blackmon left and got a shot off. Blackmon hid from police despite a wound to his neck. K9s finally tracked down the intrepid and bleeding thief. Blackmon claims that his gun that he’d used in the robbery was a toy.

A store owner in Hazelton, Pennsylvania stopped a robber in his business from stealing to the tune of four shotgun blasts. Police are sketchy with details, but a 23-year-old is getting his wounds tended to at a local hospital and a vehicle with flattened tires was towed from the scene.

On Friday, the Hawaii Police Department took down one of their “most wanted” criminals, Ronald Barawis, the same day he was supposed to star on their local Hawaii’s Most Wanted TV show. He was on the losing end of a gun battle with police and DRT (dead right there). Judging by his mugshot at the link, I don’t think he would have been on the run much after the TV broadcast anyway.

Crime does not pay unless you’re either a politician or you’re employed by theVA.

Hawaii. The only way that you’re going to get a DRT is through police or criminal intervention. It’s essentially impossible for anyone else to carry there.

Bag em, Dano.

Today’s “good guys” batting line: 3 for 3 (or 4 for 4, if the female in HI was an accomplice or accessory after the fact) with 1 HR and the rest extra base hits. Not bad.

I don’t know why but I always love seeing perps with facial and neck tats. They surely scream I’m just a model citizen just like all of you.

Ah, the old “it was really only a toy gun so it doesn’t count” defense. Uh,no….it gets you grown-up time and grown-up shot.

The former Mr. Barawis seems to be the kinda guy that did everything half-assed.

Right below the Hawaii Failed Face Tattoo Guy story was an article about a drunk Uber passenger getting arrested investigated Oregon. I wonder if this guy can read a fuel gauge?

One in Pensacola was just down the road, gotta love this place.

DRTs are best. No public assets other than the cost of the bullets expended. That Barawis fellow looks like no loss. The less expended on him and ilk like him, the better.
