Thursday morning feel good stories
Somehow, we missed this story from Brevard County, Florida, where a convenience store robber learned a hard lesson when he tried to rob David Dick, the clerk and Iraq War veteran with an air pistol. Dick took the pistol away from the crook after pounding on him for a while. The criminal did get away, but with a new outlook on life, I’ll bet.
In Greenville, Tennessee, a man who was stealing guns from a home was confronted by a neighbor. The neighbor pulled his own gun out when Brian Allen Boles reached inside his jacket for a gun. The neighbor walked Boles to the curb and ordered him to the ground – instead Boles lit out and the neighbor fired his gun in the opposite direction which didn’t stop Boles at all. Deputies captured the burglar later.
A woman in Lexington, Kentucky shot Joseph Krueger while Krueger was plying his profession as a burglar. He was DRT (dead right there) after a lifetime of violent felonies. His last conviction was supposed to last four years in 2014, but he was released after a year. It will take a fairly competent attorney to get him out of his latest sentence delivered last week by his potential victim.

Firing a warning shot in the opposite direction seldom works to stop a fleeing felon. On the othre hand, 2 or more rounds fired center mass will usually discourage one from continuing his life of crime.
Maybe he was trying that ’round the world’ shot and just missed.
Probably just had different laws there, especially after that mess with Zimmerman. Some states it may have been legal to shoot him, but there he may have gone to jail. Not worth his life to kill the burglar.
“It will take a fairly competent attorney to get him out of his latest sentence delivered last week by his potential victim.”
Well that counts Bernath out then.
Jonn set it up, and you knocked it down.
well on the first story play stupid games win stupid prizes.
on the second story my dad always said if you use it no warning shots.
fail drill all the way…
It seems the good guy with the gun was not on his property and was not in imminent danger. So not shooting would have been the best call.
If he felt he was in danger. IE perp reaches into his jacket while facing him. Then why not shoot to stop the attack?
So why fire the warning shot in any case? The world will never know.
