Weekend open thread

Well, the snows finally made to the mountain top where TAH HQs & Resort is located. I guess that the millions of feet of snow will be the big news this weekend since it’s expected to hit the national media in Washington, DC and New York City the hardest. They haven’t been able to shut up about it since Monday. The rumors of the storm has already resulted in thousands of flights being cancelled and the DC Metro system has already planned to shut down the subway. Schools around here closed early this morning without a snowflake in the air.
Dave Hardin thought I should post a picture of the latest “in” hair style – man braids, but that just creeps me out. So you get this weather channel chick instead.
So just Netflix and chill.

I miss Tucson (77-85). Man that was a fun town. (hope I didn’t dupe post)
it’s a interesting place lots to do if you have a family, it’s sad that Mexico is a war zone right now because I really would like to take the family to rocky point it’s a three hour drive from here.
We got snow where I live at. The long-range projection had it raining; instead, it snowed big snowflakes.
As I pull out of my driveway it’s 78 not bad for 1450 what a afternoon
yes I’m second also
by the way if anybody is interested, I have three citrus trees in the back yard full of oranges grapefruit and lemons I can send if anybody’s interested leave Jonn a address, will be sent next

You know, not all of us have the time to just sit around and read, then post witty replies. Some of us have actual responsibilities.
Now stop demeaning those of who are busy and let me get back to my daily pedicure!
I’m in hurry up and wait mode the water damage people that where supposed to be here at 0800 never showed up so me and my little boss are watching Daniel tiger reruns on Apple TV
Bhwhahahahahahaha! ! !
What a bunch of wimps. I was throwing newspapers in -15F blizzard weather in middle school. (Good ol’ Cleveland, Ohio memories)… And it took a mighty act of God, namely a 6′ blizzard to shut down the old RTA system we used to get to school. Only happened ONCE in 8 years of school.
East coast wimps.
I live in Minnesota; ’nuff said.
Burrrrrrr! You’ll be looking at a three-dog night tonight 🙂
In that case, Joy to the World cause Eli’s coming…
You do know the origin of the band’s name was supposedly an Aboriginal Australian expression for a very cold night, right?
Yep. The Native American “Two Dogs.. ” wouldn’t fly back then.
Me too, OT.
Remember the Halloween storm? Those East Coasters got nuttin’ on us.
Meh.
You got dat right! Yeah, my daughter still wanted to go trick or treating, lol!! So; we went and she made out huge, since we were basically the only ones out there and people had a lot of candy to get rid of.
I live in Alaska; ’nuff said.
Which is why I no longer live in MN.
Brrrrrr.
As I said above we are looking at 80s here friends of ours in the D.C. where telling us they didn’t even bother to go to work today because of snow. crazy ! ! ! !
You guys are wimps. Nothing compares to a Chicago-style blizzard. Nothing.
1967 blizzard shuts down the entire city.
1978-79 blizzard shuts down a lot of the city and closes O’Hare airport.
January 1985 cold snap took the temperature down to -25F with a wind chill of -80F. I went out with my dog Bandit to try to start the car. It said ‘rrrrr) and I said I’d wait until spring came to try again.
February 2011 – broken-down CTA bus and gale force winds off Lake Michigan shut down northbound Lake Shore Drive, stranding motorists on their way home. The fire department had to send firetrucks out to rescue them. Glad I could just watch it on TV and not be there in the middle of it.
As I recall, the 1993 blizzard shut down Washington, DC for three days or something. It started west of Chicago, moved through as a snowstorm and then picked up moisture and wind speed when it hit the Smokies and WDC was toast.
1982 was a bit nippy in Chicago too.
1982 – Oh, yeah – I drove from my apartment 126 miles to my brother’s house for the weekend. My car nearly froze while I was driving. I had to put my coat over my dog, because she was as cold as I was. I don’t know what the wind chill was at 65MPH, but by the time I got to my brother’s place, the battery was frozen and the radio wouldn’t shut off. Yeah, that was a classic bit of winter weather.
I found a note in my grandfather’s journal about the blizzard of 1887. He was living in Wisconsin. That was the one that started in the Dakotas, picked up some nasty stuff on the way east, blew through Chicago and buried people alive in the streets of New York. Then he went to the Klondike and got caught in the blizzard that hit while people were packing supplies over Chilkoot Pass. Apparently, there was an avalanche that swept away a lot of people on that trail, too.
I think we’re going to see MORE storms like this.
Um, hate to pee on your cornflakes, Ex, but don’t start blubbering about cold weather until you have dealt with -40 with -70 wind chill for several days in a row (96-97).
1998-1999 New Year’s Eve – starting at 10PM, 2 to 3.5 feet of snow by morning, depending on your neighborhood. Streets didn’t get plowed out for a week. Trash didn’t get picked up, either, because the alleys were blocked with snow.
Ah, yes. The Blizzard of 78. I have a pic somewhere of my oldest son sitting on top of the pile of snow at the end of my driveway. I was standing in front of him, and I’m 6′ tall, he was about 1 foot higher than the top of my head.
The roads were so gefucht up that Howard Johnson’s, Mickey D and the rest of the restaurants ran out of food the first night of the storm.
We ended up borrowing Jeeps from the International/Jeep dealer so we could patrol, and we still couldn’t get down the side streets.

Went fishing once…. returning south in shirt sleeve weather (windows down, clear sunshine) South down I75 past Flint (Bishop) airport. Within sight of the 75/23 split we came to a line of snow across the road. we drove straight into a raging blizzard. 20 miles later, there was 16 inches of snow on the road. More falling… freeway was a slow parking lot, bumper to bumper. cars ahead broke the way.
————-
Remember when 31W was a main traffic/ truck route before the interstates….?? One stuck semi could close the road . that snowstorm backed traffic. Then, people in a hurry ran down both shoulders. 4 lanes of cars in both directions, deadlocked on a narrow two lane blacktop. After about 8 hours, day broke… we made a few hundred yards in that time and broke trail down a small rural road to freedom. 10 inches that time
—
ya know whats fun??? 10 inches of heavy snow with an inch of ice on top.
10 below weather for 10 days before christmas.
I-75, Bishop Airport, 75/23 split. All familiar names to me Tom. I returned to my childhood home a couple of times, (foolishly), and drove what are known as “Michigan Trains”, 11 axles of uncontrollable hell on ice and snow filled roads.I remember starting at 0230 with a pint of alcohol for the air lines, and a bernzamatic torch to thaw the drums, getting running by 0530 to go 10 MPH to the Holly Sand pit and usually found it snowed in until the loading crew could bulldoze the lane clear enough for us do drive in.
That reminded me that I did know my way around South Florida and the Keys and needed to get my butt back down there. Aaaah the memories.
Very early this morning, driving down US-19, coming into Crystal River, I was hit with cross winds, generated by the south end of the same system that is whitening the Northeast. Temperature was much milder than up that way, being around 64 degrees at daybreak. Now, heading East on US-41, Homestead looks inviting. I will spend some time there and go on into the Keys in the night. Y’all hunker down up there, grease up the snow shovels, and think of me, heading out onto the Gulfstream for some fishing over the weekend.
Florida is great. The state maintains walkways around most bridges for fishermen. Bait is sold frozen in grocery stores, much cheaper than the bait shops. Nice place to fish. Hell to hitchhike out of. Greyhound is great.

Tonight, I75 is closed with hundreds stranded in their cars. about 35 miles affected, continuing rescue at this time.
Give you an idea on how the local school district handled a “snow day” in the local AO (PNW) just a few weeks ago.
Had a “dusting” of snow and sleet on Sunday – Monday…Schools canx. Tuesday – late start due to snow and black ice on local roads, no problem. Wednesday, had a bout of freezing rain in the early AM. Other local districts decided to go with a 2 1/2 hour late start, but does the local superintendent…NO! According to him, the school bus company told him that the roads were OK when they did their check of the local roads in the early AM (school district has a lot or rural roads and in a hilly area) so he OK’s school to start at normal time. Well, what do you think happens… not one, but FOUR buses are involved in “fender benders” on the local roads/ice rinks… and the school principals/superintendent caught HELL over their “educated decision”.
People have a hard enough time driving in the rain here… but throw the white stuff or that yellow ball of fire in the sky shows up and they freaking lose their minds…
I remember the kids going out trick or treating during a blizzard Halloween night. That same snow was still on the ground in March when the temp finally got back above freezing (Grand Forks, ND).
Well if any of you folks had the pleasure of being at Fort Drum during the winter months for any kind of outdoor winter training you might recall the old joke that if Hell ever did freeze over it would be renamed Fort Drum….
My memory goes back to a January evening in 1967, when a monster snowstorm hit Chicago, dropping a LOT of the white stuff overnight. Many, many inches – up to 20″ in some areas. The snow plows came through to clear the streets and that left 8 – 10 foot drifts in front yards all over my neighborhood. We had neighborhood schools, so I walked to school the next morning – we went late, but we went. And as I walked to school, the wind off the lake dropped the wind chill to 75 below zero during that walk. Now I live in Georgia and I laugh when I hear the fear in the weather girl’s voice as she mentions the possibility of snow …
Ah yes – Cleveland, OH, the “mistake by the lake”.
Have fond memories of shoveling about 14″ of snow there one time while visiting relatives.
Was that the ’78 blizzard?
*Throws coconut at Skippy*
Tag your *it* lol 👿
dam it …*you’re*
It’s my first grand slam three base home run ever ! ! ! !
Heeeeee Hawwwwwwww
cable dawg. has the honor of denial of three run home run so it’s twofer Lol…
I spent too much time dithering over word choice, and coming up with something “clever” that would still be true if I wasn’t first.
I’m first non-Skippy!
Dammit; I guess I type too slow!
It’s Friday…time with the weekly shout-out to Danny-boi Bernastypants, the soon to be disbarred lawer, and his buttsekks buttbuddy qUeEfErS, the purple suited town drunk! Keep on sucking down those “cocktails” while paying “pivot man” at your meetings, boys!
It’s just a matter of time until you both are wearing Prison Orange (for qUeEfErS, it’s his FAVORITE color!!!).
Don’t ShRTbUsWIdoWLiKKer look good in prison orange?
http://florida.arrests.org/Arrests/Dallas_Wittgenfeld_13258593/
Even better with that scab on his schnozz… must have lost a fight with a door… or some other immovable object! 🙂
Schools shut down without snow. Who knew such a thing was possible. Then again, makes it harder to slide down the street hanging onto the bumper of the school bus.
It’s a wonder I didn’t end up seriously dead, or worse.
BOOTLEG!
Hey, we’ve seen this movie before, haven’t we? All this edumacyshun and electronic do-dads and them there computers, and all that hairspray and capping, and this is their hour to shine!
Uh-huh. Yawn.
I’m underimpressed, but then I’ve been around for a couple of years.
I tell folks I’m waiting for the local weather “personality” (they seem interchangable, tending toward toward the blonde) to appear, looking disheveled, yelling “The sky is falling!”
Now that, I’d enjoy.
Oh, and I’m working on a movie/TV script tentatively called “SnowmageddonSharknado”. I figure box office gold.
As one of my bosses at the PD was fond of saying about just about anything, This is gonna be big. Really Big.
Everything on Weather Channel revolves around disaster weather that will kill you. Shit is so ridiculous I don’t know how anyone can take that shit seriously. I just want to know the temperature outside…..
Hyperbolic reporting is the code of the day in all aspects of the news, whether warfare or weather. We MUST exaggerate! We MUST!
This just in:
Parent blames Dell for computer screen involved in death of child.
Rodney Wastintiehmmer reportedly choked to death in front of a Dell manufactured computer monitor after attempting to inhale two 40 oz bags of curly Cheetos simultaneously. Single mother Lisa Wastentiehmmer does not blame Rodney, the Frito Lay corporation, Netflix, or the Ikea manufactured chair he was sitting in, but is certain she found the real culprit.
Later at eleven, is you cat secretly planning to murder you?!? Join our panel of experts to discover the truth about your pet!!!
Ole Puss has that stink eye look again. Or maybe it’s just gas…
If it were gas, it would be far more than “stink eye” . . . .
There’s an app for that. 🙂
So, is it, like, winter or something? Snow? In January?? Wow.
“So you get this weather channel chick instead.”
Why is she pointing AT MY HOUSE??!!
*well, close enough anyway. all battened down and stocked up. with any luck the worst thing I’ll have to do is sweep snow off the satellite dish.*
Good choice on the pix. Snow I can deal with (grew up in upstate NY n WMass) but the winds no. I had 2 trees taken down after Sandy but my dang neighbor still has one with those tree balls near our property line.
Yet another week that JRM hasn’t checked in?
Hope he is ok
I do know someone up in cedar city, Ut that I can call she works with vet services for the state of Utah. when my wife makes it to Oregon I’ll get here phone number and make some calls
Anyone heard from 2/17 Air Cav?
No sign of him. He pulled to plug on participating here said he was gone and wasn’t coming back. Did you know that? Someone onetime, months ago, alluded to the fact that they knew 2/17 from another site/forum. I always enjoyed his commentating. I wish I knew where I could bump into him again.
Tell her to check with the Mormon church branch in Vernal, UT.
He’s still active on Facebook – his last post there was two days ago. He’s just made himself scarce around these parts for some reason.
Someone disagreed with him about something and he disappeared. Not sure, but seems like that happened a few weeks ago.
Thanks.
Thanks. I’ll quit asking about him since it seems he’s ok and just pissed off at something here.
2/17 was highly pissed at Lars and said he was gone. Wish he would reconsider. I enjoyed him.
sj. should I presume all is ok ????
if so I think he will be back
he probably got feed up with our crazy behavior LMAO ! ! !
As gubmint workers go, there’s always room for another holiday or other reason to get just one more paid day without working. What I’m getting at is this,,,,,,,,
how long will it be until they make a vacation day to honor Frosty the Snowman?
Hey here at South Padre it is a comfortable 62 but hope all yall in the storm stay safe
Was at Port A last weekend. A bit chilly then too. Had the beach to myself…
Number 40!
But, its cute. Besides with the Corps going Bi hair regs are sexiest and discriminate against man buns and braids. It time men are seen as equals to women.
http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/man-braids-are-the-latest-assault-on-masculinity/
They’ll go bald early in life if they keep that up.
One can but hope.
I’ll bet they curl their pinkies over the coffee cup. Demitasse, perhaps? Crumpets, anyone?
That’s not what I heard caused baldness . . . . (smile)
Really? Geishas with those supertight geisha hairdos find themselves experiencing premature baldness.
Did you know that if you pull the hair out of your legs often enough, it will eventually stop growing?
Oh, wait – were you referring to the demitasse?
Dude… man buns… man braids…WTF?!?!?
Does TAH have a new “Men’s Hair Style correspondent”?
Next thing we’ll hear is that dogs and cats are living together!
VIKING!!!
The worst thing they did on Vikings was to make Ragnar bald. Wrong move. I loved his braid!
Kill it before it procreates.
Sorry but nothing says queer like this shit! They can call it metro sexual or whatever the hell they want, it’s still fag as hell. If I had great hair like these guys, I’d shave it off and go bald as a billiard cue before I’d be caught dead looking like this. Da fuck is the world coming to!
Man-Bum and Man-Braid… Unless you are carrying a Viking Ax or a Samuri Sword covered in your enemy’s blood you aren’t pulling it off.
Glad to see you are doing just fine Sparks.
I assume this is what they looked like at Dick’s Sporting Goods while purchasing shields, fur coats, and battleaxes to load up the longboat?
Happy hunting boys, I hear the Coast Guard is dying for something to liven up their Friday.
I used to make $20 braiding horses’ tails and $15 for the mane, sewn-in, for horse shows.

Geez, that’s a trip down memory lane! They always looked good when they were done, though. 🙂
They sure did.
I glanced at that article, and one of the points it made was that it was an assault on ‘Biblical values.’ Well, some folks don’t follow the Bible for their values, but it’s not an ‘assault’ on those values if a man wears his hair in braids. And many Native American men wear their hair long, and sometimes in braids. And frankly, it amazes me in this day and age when people can’t seem to sort out religious values from societal customs and fashions.
Speaking of manbuns, John Belushi did it right. Arigato, Samurai Futaba.

we may hate summer heat and humidity, but remember: you don’t have to shovel heat.
Yep. And I learned a looooong time ago I prefer to sweat far more than I like to shiver.
Yeah, and I don’t have to swat snowflakes. You can keep your heat. I’ll take the cold.

Everyone knows that only God and Republicans can shut down Washington DC…
Proof that God is a Republican?
One of the TAH regulars had this on his Facebook page.

Anyone have a good link for the Stolen Valor Downfall parody?
Bhwhahahahahahaha! ! ! !
that a good one Hack LMAO ! ! !
Thanks, the link has been forwarded to my target.
Bitch, I’m a fed.
Money shot there.
Had an inch of snow and this part of Arkansas shut down. Parked the truck, built a fire in the fire place, opened a bottle or two of decent wine. 7 month old tom cat loved it, thinks he’s a puppy. Most was gone by the afternoon cause we had sunshine, now comes the ice when it freezes tonight. Still beats back east or up North, although I could handle a week in Republic de P to thaw out.
I had a bit of an anniversary last month. December 26 2015 marked the 30th year since I enlisted in the Navy. 2 months at RTC San Diego, then a year at DLI Monterey for Russian, then 4 months at Goodfellow AFB, then off to Misawa Japan for my first tour (during which I sailed with NHSparky). Good times.
Congratulations on your milestone!
Amazing how quickly time flies.
I AM A PROUD INFIDEL!!!
Holy crap!
DB where have you been?
Oh, and where are you right now?
I won’t tell no one!
Promise!
He He he he he ! ! ! !

Here and there, mostly on an uncharted island somewhere along with Elvis, Jim Morrison, Agatha Christie and Amelia Earhart. ‘Ol Sasquatch shows up from time to time, mostly this time of year to escape winter weather. He rides back and forth via something that doesn’t exist from Area 51 (Elvis sneaks a ride from time to time and sets foot on the mainland although not as often as he used to). I’ve been in Ft. Myers lately, so far I’ve parked at the Gulf Air and Woodsmoke RV Parks. maybe it’s time to head toward Daytona.
You can’t make this sh*t up. I feel sorry for the dog.

YGBSM.
That saying about truth being stranger than fiction…and I agree with you about that poor dog. I hope the poor critter didn’t catch that case of the “terminal stupid” from those two turds.
There’s talk of Fort Jackson shutting down tomorrow morning…we were fortunate enough to get a late call this morning due to the weather. Bad thing? The APFT isn’t until Monday. So, after almost a week of Drill Sergeant School, a number amongst us will be sent home to be ostracized and have their careers threatened by our “great” senior NCOs. The first height/weight was today–glad to say I’m officially thirty pounds lighter than I was last May. Otherwise, a bit apprehensive about my pushup form, but confident that if I make it past Monday I’ll graduate. Well, if I pitch the first three modules well next Wednesday.
This side of Jackson is much more demanding than the last time I was here for Recruiter School. I’m impressed by the Drill Sergeant Leaders, despite many of us Candidates being more experienced and senior. They are truly Subject Matter Experts and professionals. Victory Starts Here!–though the weather seems to put it in a holding pattern quote often. 🙂
“Victory Starts Here!”
Sounds like the brainwashing is starting to take hold. (sarc)
Keep up the good work fm. Today’s recruits need damn good leadership more than ever. Good luck!
After greeting DSL’s with those words over a hundred times daily, they become secondary to one’s vocabulary. Honestly, though, I’m impressed by even the younger Candidates here. Some of them arrived more prepared than us kinda old-timers. If only I had the memorization skills of a 26-year-old.
FM2176,
You’ll love the job, I was a Marine DI. Very rewarding. Different styles but both branches do a lot to turn boys to men.
my last visit to Jackson was at the reception Co. for prior service for for a Sec Clearance and to be sent to Lost-in-the-woods for a new MOS, we stayed at the old D.I. barracks. the run up that hill every morning was fun from a then 30+ year old PFC. as NBC said Good Luck. the Army Needs good leadership now more of then ever, Head up. and you’ll do just fine !!!!! Hooah ! ! ! !
Thanks for the positive words! I hoped to never come back to Jackson after Recruiter School, but then again I never thought I’d be selected for Drill duty. My battle buddies and I have spent only two days together, but I can see us bonding and helping each other in ways none of us ever though fathomable last week. The course is just starting, however, and there are many variables and obstacles; those who make it make will make it with the assistance of others, and those who don’t will likely fail on their own.
We’ll see. Until then, time for another recital of the Drill Sergeant Creed and then some rack time.
Recruiting And Drill Sgt? You are a glutton for punishment
Two years on the trail will allow you to influence many young people, both in body and mind. You will be the foundation that they build their military and personal lives on. They will remember you ling after you forget them.
Graduated Basic in 1980. SSG Thomas, SSG Gimble, Drill CPL Booth. Those men changed me for the better.
Good luck and do good fm.
118th … Stick it to you suckas!
By the way for those who don’t follow the hair, Birdbath has officially lost his fucking mind.
Lost? You assume he ever had it?
Hey I have a question for my sea-going companions that actually knew how to work on the big gray things I used to ride on, or at least know a helluva lot more about the Navy than I do.
Bit of background. I was on You Tube checking up on one of the more famous phonies, Epic Beard Man (Thomas Alexander Bruso). By the way there are STILL idiots that dont want to accept he is Not a Vietnam Vet.
I got in a bit of a tiff with an absolute wack job ( blocked after about 4 or =5 exchanges, you can’t fix crazy). He was a flaming racist ( he called me a N%^%&*r in every post and said his CC was a racist black who made him do pushups 8 hours a day). He also trie4d to say military records were off limits for FOIAs and he was going to get 10,000 Navy Vets to bust my chops about lying about records.
Anyway he bought up something I found interesting, and I expect that is recruit folklore. He said the NTC San Diego had Navy SEAL PT instructors who ran a 1-day moto PT program as punishment. I don’t doubt that a 1 day program existed ( The USMC had it for sure in the early 80s)
Any you Navy guys and gals Verify what this program for the navy was and who ran it?
The guy had obviously had Navy Service in the mid 80s
*meant to say I don’t doubt a 1 day moto prigram existed, but I highly dougbt SEALs ran it.
JOD: can’t shed any light on your question, but it did spark a few memories. When I went through PI, they had “One-day mot”, “three-day mot” and (IIRC) “Seven-day mot.”
One of my fellow recruits (a fella who I thought was reasonably motivated, in pretty good shape, and a decent-performing recruit) went through One-day mot.
He came back essentially telling us in no uncertain terms, “Don’t f!!k up bad enough to get three or seven-day mot. I barely survived one-day!”

A road grader just went by, filling our driveway. Good thing we moved a car down to the neighbors house before this snow event began. They kindly kept it clear for us. We had four vehicles with blades working on our approach and driveway earlier and it looked terrific. One of the neighbors has a brand new 4-wheeler with a blade that he’s been experimenting with the past few days. It’s doing great.
A snow plow came through yesterday but got stuck a bit beyond us. It’s still there, but maybe the grader will get it out. We’ll see.
All well here. We have nowhere to be until tomorrow afternoon so are good to go. Not sure how much snow we got – just know that walking through the snow – it was above my knees. Beautiful stuff.
The False Commander Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) still refuses to provide clarification for his fake Native American, SEAL and Law Enforcement claims. Especially how he enriched himself and others through his nefarious actions.
My best guess is that he cannot orally respond due to the fact that he is gargling balls.
Maggot.
Wind’s calmed down, just returned from a recon of the place. Wow. Weathered the storm very well. All I can say is,
“Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin’?
In the lane, snow is glistenin’
A beautiful site, we’re happy tonight
Walkin’ with a woody in my hand.”
G’night, dickweeds.
Highs through Tuesday – of NEXT WEEK – ranging from the low 30s to the low 40s. No precip predicted until Monday – of NEXT WEEK.
Strange for SE Michigan in the dead of winter, but I’ll take it. Snow removal at an airport is a royal pain in the ass. Dealing with ice is even worse.
Glad I’m not at any of the airports on the Eastern Seaboard that are getting clobbered.
And Pretty Boy goes down. Broncos to the Super Bowl!
Greetings from the netherworld. Contrary to the wishful thinking of some, I am alive and well. Reports of sightings are untrue. I do not have a FB account and I comment on no other blogs whatsoever. It may be that 3/17 Air Cav does and he and I are sometimes confused with one another. Gee, I wonder why. It’s not as if our tags are similar. Anyhow, I miss most of you peoples and departed abruptly due to one commenter who had me daydreaming about bamboo and fingernails, hot oil, electrodes, his possibly having relatives in Milwaukee, and other fun stuff. That was rather unpleasant and since he—I won’t use his name but his initials are L.A.R.S. T.A.Y.L.O.R—would not leave, despite his daily beatings, I did. That’s the whole of it. I did send a message through another regular here but, for whatever reason, that didn’t work out. So, Merry Christmas!
Does this mean you’re back with us?
If so, a very, very, Welcome Home to you.
2/17 I’ve seen myself doing the same thing also it’s a pain in the ass when dealing with stupid so I just cancel out the moron and move forward, glade to see you are good
Hey, thanks Claw. I may not be here as often but I’ll be kicking around. I really did miss folks here. I couldn’t pick any but two out of a lineup but you’re like a bunch of old friends.
Well, just to let you know, that Phildo who shall not be named, hasn’t been on here for at least the past two or three weeks, even though some of the posts have been right up his alley for making an idiot of himself.
Our latest entertainment has been the LSoS Michael Killam who claims POW and multiple Purple Hearts from being a doorgunner on MASH 4077th style OH-13 helicopters.
Killam even has a retired SGM defending his lies.
Enjoy.
Good seeing you post… you are missed here 2/17!
CLAW. Thanks for the update. I have a great deal of back reading to do.
HMCS(FMF)Thanks. One thing I learned is that this place is the greatest single source of chuckles around. If Jonn could collect and sell the collective humor found here, he’d be a gazillionaire.
