Robert Guidi’s criminal record
I was fielding calls from the media yesterday about Robert Guidi, that fellow in Mine Hill, New Jersey who pretended to be a Special Forces Vietnam POW but was actually a postal clerk in a Headquarters Company in the 101st Division. Peggy Wright at the Daily Record says that he has a criminal record;
In 2007, Guidi was indicted by a Morris County grand jury on charges of bilking three homeowners in Denville out of $63,901 in home improvements and landscaping projects that never were completed. He pleaded guilty to theft, according to a computer court record and Guidi’s former attorney, but the exact sentence he received in 2009 was not immediately available.
Twenty years ago, Guidi was a controversial, key witness for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office in its murder-for hire trial against Pamela Young, who was charged and acquitted of trying to hire a hit-man to kill a man she briefly dated but who wound up harassing and stalking her. The trial was reported extensively by the Daily Record.
Guidi, then living in Parsippany, testified at trial in 1996 that he was involved in plans in 1994 to start a prostitution business but went to police because of threats from a rival prostitution ringleader. Guidi testified that he met Young in the course of business dealings and that she confided to him she wanted to find a hitman to kill a stalking ex-boyfriend. Guidi told the jury he alerted State Police to Young’s alleged quest to find a hitman.
During cross-examination of Guidi by a defense lawyer, jurors heard that Guidi was convicted in 1992 of impersonating a federal drug enforcement officer, faked his own death on another occasion, and lived in Colorado for awhile, where he pretended that his wife and child had been killed in an accident when they actually were alive.
This is not my shocked face – stolen valor is just an indicator that there are other crimes. The prosecutor should keep digging on Guidi.
Fred Aun at TapInto says that Guidi has been giving other media folks false information for quite awhile when he discovered that no one would bother checking on him;
In 2014, Guidi told a local newspaper that he has terminal cancer from exposure to Agent Orange. In the article, Guidi spoke about the negative way he was treated upon returning home from his valorous tour of duty in Southeast Asia.
He reportedly expressed dismay at the way he was treated by the Veterans Administration: “As a result, Guidi did not talk about his experience in Vietnam,” said the story. “He even went so far as to burn the medals he was given, including the Medal of Valor, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.”
Yeah, I don’t see someone like Guidi burning any of his medals, and I still don’t know what a “Medal of Valor” is. In the Daily Record, they reported that the county veterans’ service officer had dealings with Guidi in the past few years and that he had an “uneasy feeling” about Guidi. You should always go with that feeling.

Tip of the shit iceberg yet again.
“Tip of the shit iceberg” hahahahaha
Consider that phrase stolen and I promise it will be used regularly.
Looks like ol’Buttfuck Bobby loves himself some cockmeat sammiches and tubesteak something fierce… hopefully the local DA can put him away long enough to help Bobby “scratch that itch”.
I am shocked, shocked to find out Guidi was guilty of more than Stolen Valor!
Stolen Valor, the toothpick holding the shit sandwich together.

Is this the guy with a sinkhole in his yard also?
Medal of Valor indeed. Not much of a county veterans svc officer to not drop kick him in the nuts when he strolled in and dropped that bomb unless he got one from Canada or Albania. Maybe he was on a secret squirrel mission to Tanzania
Imagine that, a lying sack of shit has a criminal record longer than my forearm…
You know if you can’t trust a guy who wants to run a string of whores as an income producing entity who the hell can you trust?
All of these cases should be used as examples of the failure of journalism 101 due to the initial negligence of reporters to ascertain the truth about this giant, steaming, liar…a few minutes of checking the facts prevents an embarrassing story from being released.
That old saying about never being too old to learn something fits here. Never, never, never had I considered a prostitution ring a viable business option. Never actually considered it at all.
Apparently it could have led to all sorts of other possibilities. Who knew? Guess that’s just another missed opportunity. Well, only for those lacking a moral compass and/or willing to violate any number of laws.
Off topic sort of, here in PRoM we had a very successful young female lawyer in Boston decide to capitalize on the male habit of viewing porn online by offering strippers an hourly wage for stripping live on camera for a live audience of males via webcam.
This was about ten years ago, within six months she was making so much money that she purchased a quarter million dollars of equipment to upgrade her bandwidth and was pocketing close to a million a month.
Not prostitution but many felt it was exploitation as well, interestingly there was no statute she was violating and the strippers claimed they loved it because they were working in a clean private room for guaranteed money of around $400 a day and didn’t have to deal with club owners or smelly drunk assholes…
Sex sells everything from soda pop to automobiles, and once in a while it also just sells sex.
Sounds like a very good idea from here! Willing participants, no one being coerced to do or not do anything, no laws violated, and no transmission of disease. Everybody wins.
What were we talking about again?
LOOK, SQUIRREL!!!
This is my shocked face mouth: O
He is all over the news here in the NYC metro area.
The one Medal of Valor in existence in the whole entire world and this asshole had to go and burn it. We were “this” close. More Jamesons please.
Actually, since 2001 there apparently has been such an animal:

From the photo, it appears a reasonably shameless rip-off of the MoH. But that’s just IMO.
Several states also have a high National Guard decoration called a “Medal of Valor”. New York is among them.

It was the “Medal of Stolen Valor”
Get Bobby a bus ticket to Oregon.
oh, please no, we’ve got enough problems out here without adding to them
That old apple-tree thing. Not too much distance between them.
Folks are going to need a plunger with this turd…..
A plumbers snake is more useful to clear out this turd.
