Sunday morning feel good stories

| January 10, 2016

In Harrison Township, Ohio, a 22-year-old mom who was alone with her two year old son when she heard someone breaking into her home. She called her boyfriend and the police, but they were minutes away while the burglar was seconds away, so she rang his bell with her firearm. The wounded burglar ran several yards and collapsed in a neighbor’s yard. The police took him to the hospital and they’re waiting for him to recover from his head wound.

In Manchester, New Hampshire, three thieves followed a 65-year-old woman home and tried to rob her. She shot the fellow who tried to grab her, but two women with him escaped. 23-year-old Michael Bontaites is in the hospital recovering from his new perforation. Ironically, that happened just a few hours before President Obama lectured the nation on gun control. BizPac quotes her on Obama; “Honestly, I do not have a problem with background checks. Anything else he’s trying to do, forget it. He’ll never take our guns away,” the woman said.

Gary Humphrey took on an axe-wielding Eric Olsen when Olsen broke into his Town of Geneva, Wisconsin home. Humphrey’s son tossed Gary a crowbar about 20 minutes into the altercation. Humphrey employed it against Olsen and used it to take the axe from him. At about that time, the police showed up and Olsen pulled out a knife and charged the police. He was DRT (dead right there).

Sweet! Two women protecting life with their firearms, as it was meant to be. And just to show that controlling firearms will not stop determined bad guys, we hav eone using an axe. Would the Gun Grabbers have us outlaw axes as well?

I’ve seen Manchester mentioned a few too many times here. It was starting to turn iffy when I moved out of there in the late 1990s. The trash from Lawrence and Lowell started moving north to take advantage of the tax free benefit, and brought their mindset with them. They seem to forget though, that unlike Massachusetts, NH is must issue state.

The dude in Harrison Township, Ohio was shot in the head and he’s recovering in the hospital? Must be the bullet didn’t encounter anything of substance in it’s flight.
Two wounded and one DRT, a good day all the way around.

Two of my troops held up a convenience store in Jacksonville, NC, back in the day, and one of them shot the clerk between the eyes. With a .22 short. I talked to her at the trial. It didn’t even leave a scar.

Just before my department switched over from .38 lead bullets to the +P .38 hollow point, one of the officers shot an armed robber in the head, it didn’t even knock him off of his feet, or break the skin.

Weekend Warrior in Texas

While I was in the hospital in Balad (not as a patient), I met a young Haji that had a .50 round from a Ma Deuce go through his face entering above his gum line, and below hisupper cheekbone. Only damage immediately discernable was he had a permanent goofy looking grin. He was happy as hell with all the attention & care he was getting by our medical staff. He would probably get shot again, if he knew he would get back in that field hospital.

Hell…that .50 must have been fired from a long way off! A deputy sheriff in Denver got hit in the jaw with a .50, and it took off his whole lower jar..he died instantly!
