Missing US missile surfaces in Cuba
According to the Washington Times, a missing inert Hellfire missile that was shipped, ostensibly, to Europe for training instead reappeared in Cuba and US officials aren’t sure how that happened.
According to the report, the missile was inert and U.S. officials don’t fear that Cuba could build Hellfire missiles on its own. But, while the U.S. doesn’t yet know what Cuba did with the missing missile, some of the sensors and guidance equipment could have been shared with U.S. adversaries.
U.S. officials also don’t know whether the mistake was merely an innocent shipping error, or something nefarious.
“Did someone take a bribe to send it somewhere else? Was it an intelligence operation, or just a series of mistakes? That’s what we’ve been trying to figure out,” one U.S. official told the Journal.
Since there is a boycott on stuff we ship to Cuba, especially military hardware, it’s logical to imagine that it wasn’t an error, but that it was done intentionally. BBC tells the tale of the circuitous trip taken by the missile;
Quoting sources close to the investigation, the Wall Street Journal said that the missile had been shipped to Spain in early 2014 to be used in a Nato training exercise.
It was then taken through Spain and Germany and eventually to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris where it was to be shipped back to Florida.
However, it was instead loaded on to an Air France flight to the Cuban capital, Havana.

A missing Sean Penn surfaced in Cuba as well. Sources say there is no worries that the Cubans can make him function in a movie that doesnt suck balls either.
I can see it now. A new Hellfire Missile with ’57 Chevy fins on it for guidance and a ’55 Plymouth chrome bumper points for nose caps.
Throw a push button transmission in for good measure.
I don’t understand why everyone is making such a big deal of this. Commercial airlines loose baggage. That is what they do. Global warming causes brains to over-heat and that results in brain-farts. And brain-farts cause our fearless leaders to do weird things like ship a weapon via a commercial airline. All data considered the responsibility for this particular WTF is very probably PETAs.
Do brain farts contribute to global warming like cow farts do?
Yes, indeed they do. While only a small portion of available brains are used to anywhere near their capacity there are considerably more brains and therefore considerably more brain farts than there are cows and their farts. Someday soon science will undoubtedly determine that brain farts are the true cause of Global.

My last time on Air France the plane broke on takeoff. Lost luggage excuse? From them, I’d believe it.
Training support for the Syrian rebels. Maybe someone wanted the the missile to be out of the loop for awhile. Then it was “found” while hiding in plain sigh, so to speak.
Maybe this will encourage DOD to establish some form of organic aerial transportation system for sensitive items. We could call it Material air command or something like that.
