David Z. Lovett; Grand Master phony
Someone sent us their work on this Grand Master David Z. Lovett of The Christian Taekwondo Association. here’s their Facebook page. he claims that he was in the Air Force, judging by what he’s wearing in these pictures;
He’s wearing the Air Force Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, Aerial Achievement Ribbon, Outstanding Airman of the Year Ribbon, Korean Defense Service Ribbon, Iraqi Campaign Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Ribbon, American Defense Service Ribbon (a World War II service medal), Vietnam Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Ribbon, and others.
Well, the National Personnel Records Center says “Who?”
ADDED: 6:05 PM 1-7-2016. I just got off the phone with Mr Lovett and he explained to me that these pictures were taken years ago and that he originally intended the medals to represent different skill levels in his profession. He says that when people in the military told him that it was disrespectful, he says he immediately took the medals off and never wore them again. He went on to explain that he has raised thousands of dollars for wounded warriors and that it was never his intent to be disrespectful of the military, nor did he intend for wearing military medals to give anyone the impression that he was in the military. However, I told him that the post isn’t coming down, because I didn’t do anything wrong.
Category: Phony soldiers, Valor Vultures
But how can this be? He told me the story of how he flew his F14 inverted right over the top of a Russian fighter and made the sign of the cross at him.
left out part of the story…
There he was, inverted, over the Rooskie aircraft, making the sign of the cross… and he says real loud, “Hey Ivan… BLESS YOU!”. At that point, his RIO laughed and laughed.
I love that story. You guys probably used the wrong SSN or something.
He was being modest that day, he didn’t even tell you about how he broke into the Ivan’s cockpit with Holy Water, baptized him in midair and jumped right back into his bird to continue the mission!
Damn, just puked! Why did this story PISS ME OFF? I have no clue… Because he’s 100% not military? I’ll figure it out?
This maggot has been inverted all right, just not over an aircraft if you know what I mean.
Hmm. That would be a different form of “barrel roll”.
Maybe a “Split S”?
Ha! 🙂
Ah, he has watched ‘Top Gun’ way too many times.
However, apparently it may have been Cunningham who actually possibly did that, maybe!
Nah, not Top Guns. This dude claims Air Force, so he must’ve been the 16 year old high school kid who stole the F-16 and single-handedly destroyed Bilyakistan and killed its dictator and became the “IRON EAGLE” !!!
Without a doubt Lou Gossett Jr.’s best piece of work.
He never got enough credit for it.
Next to Firewalker of course.
“Officer and a Gentleman”! LGJr was the only redeeming part of that flick.
Holden
Lovett, you are the next contestant on TAH’s “Stolen Valor Phonies” game show!!!
Damn… must have gone to that sooper sekrit Air Force training command at Area 51 and flown all of those sooper sekrit (security clearance: Rabid Honey Badger) areoplanes to get all of those pretty ribbins.
Anyone got a hookup over at Bullshido to ask them about Davey-boy and his “accomplishments”. I’d bet that they would be interested in him…
Area 51 won’t be seekrit for long, Hillzy is going to appoint someone to investigate it, and the UFOs(pronounced youfo). Maybe it’ll be Huma and Hillzy making a weekend of it?
ALLEGEDLY overheard conversation between Huma and Das Hildebeast off camera…
Huma: Hillary, let me be frank with you…
Hildebeast: HELL NO, it’s MY TURN to be Frank tonight!!!
Air Force Cross recipient my ass.
This guy does not appear old enough to have served in Vietnam. As of May 2015, there have only been 10 recipients of the Air Force Cross since Vietnam.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Force_Cross_%28United_States%29#Recent_recipients
He’s not one of them. Screw this LSoS.
Actually, it looks like he’s had a little work done. He might be in his mid-60s.
The name doesn’t appear on DoD’s database under any conflict during which the Air Force Cross was awarded, nor on the list of US Air Force recipients of the Distinguished Service Cross during the Korean War. There is a disclaimer that the fact that a name does not appear is not definitive proof that no award was made, but it is pretty damning. http://valor.defense.gov/Recipients/AirForceAirForceCrossRecipients.aspx
Liar, the pictures were all taken close to each other unless one of his students was a Plastic surgeon and they did a trade. Poor surgeon lost out..probably didn’t pass to yellow belt..
I KNOW HIM! I knew I saw that face before but younger. He’s one of the hippie shits spitting and yelling baby killer on the boys coming home and leaving to serve at the airport..VIETNAM MY ASS..
How very Christian of him to lie and deceive…
Yeah.
Grand Master Shitbag.
I wonder if he studied with Stephen “Cio” Burrell?
Turd soup.
David Z. Lovett likely takes it in the pooter at truck stops more than I do (which could be termed “a lot”).
sincerely
John “Faker 6” Giduck
DoD’s list of AF Cross awardees from Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Guess who isn’t there.
http://valor.defense.gov/Recipients/AirForceAirForceCrossRecipients.aspx
You’re way ahead of me Bobo.
American Defense Service Medal? What did he do, travel in a time machine to fight the Nazis? Another candyassed lying powder puff of a Swamp Donkey dingleberry!
Yep. That one requires pre-World War II service – specifically, between 8 September 1939 and 7 December 1941.
That means he’d have to be at least 91 years old today (age 17 and serving on 7 Dec 1941).
Yeah, I believe that’s one my dad had. He went on active duty Oct 9, 1941 (a Thursday). By coincidence, I went on active duty Oct 9, 1969, which was also a Thursday.
Anyway, this guy’s a real piece of work. What’s with the white stars, anyway?
I thought only fictional characters were allowed to use time travel to fight in wars before they were born.
Brian Williams can confirm he was there.
PROUD!
HE was in France fighting nazis along with the freedom fighters. If its in my journals, it 100% true…
Crap, my bad, I misread the name it was David van den Livett…time to get reading glasses..
In his other life he’s Grand Master DJ ZLuv.
Shizzle y’all!
Facebook photos seem to indicate his area of operations is in San Antonio.
Can anybody say “I do all my stolen valor shopping at the Lackland AB Clothing Sales Store”. Perhaps that’s why there is such a strong Air Force connection.
Regardless, you know he has easy access to many young impressionable children.
Run, Forrest, Run !!
The CTA website “about us” page says he lives and works in Hawaii.
http://christiantaekwondoassociation.com/about-cta/master-lovetts-bio/
OK. got it. Had not looked at the site, only at photos.
The website indicates there are four schools all together. Three in Hawaii and one in San Antonio.
Makes me wonder when he gets on the jet airplane to travel Hawaii>San Antone if he wears medals and shit for the complimentary first class upgrade, and the Starbucks discount in the terminal.
“Members of the Lovett Family have developed posterity, self-discipline, and respect for their art.” (from the academy web site)
How the hell do you “develop posterity?” Did he mean “developed posteriority?” by having his asshole stretched?
I wondered the same thing when I read it. I googled “developed posterity”, and based on the null search returns, it appears that he and his family are the only ones to achieve this EVAR. What a maroon.
That should be “moron”…maroon is a color.
Um, guy . . . the reference is to a rather famous Bugs Bunny meme:
Sorry about that … (where is the edit button?)
Or not …
Ned Flanders cometh….
Gosh, I’m bling-blinded.
And the hairline. If he has transplants, he should have a little talk with his transplanter about doing a more natural hairline. This gives him a Conehead appearance.
However, I’m more disturbed by the lies he’s handing out than I am by his hairline. What else is going on there?
Where do they find the time to be a secret squirrel? BTW, hair in most of those pictures might be out of regs, even for the AF.
https://www.facebook.com/grangmasterlovett/about?section=education&pnref=about
HS class of 1978 would make him born in 1960 (+/- 1) which would make him ~56 years old. Scratch those WWII medals and VN era medals. Dude was smiking dope and listening to the Beatles White Album.
By the looks of him he was more than likely smoking poles and listening David Bowie.
Sorry, not enough years in between all these jobs…
http://bigramctablackbeltacademy.blogspot.com/2012/06/who-is-grand-master-lovett.html
so…much…fail
Robert Keith English could use David Z. Lovett as a fellow trainer. 🙄
I bet he’d lovett…
Actually this turd and his ensemble looks like a lower-level member of the Felonious Order of the Oddfellows.
Kirjath Toney’s long lost son.
Just wait until the Good Lord gets hold of this jabroni for besmirching His name.
For what it’s worth, I sent him a Facebook message and he actually responded. He didn’t threaten to ignore me, threaten to sue me, or claim he was a secret squirrel. So he is not on the level of a lot of the folks we see on here. Here is his apology:
Years ago I used these medals to symbolize our ranks in taekwondo until I was told by patriots like yourself that it was offensive so I discontinued using them years ago and replaced them with custom medals. It was a brief mistake and a lesson learned on my part and I was not trying to mislead or be disrespectful. I have tried to delete all images with them on but I guess one slipped through, I
apologize.
So if truly did just use them to represent ranks he is guilty of being ignorant. For his sake I hope no one associated with him comes out of the woodwork with knowledge that he claimed otherwise.
You can contact Jose Ramirez. He was a student of ours and now owns and operates a TKD school in San Antonio. He is retired from the Navy. He can verify that we never tried to deceive anyone that we were military. He can also testify the medal wearing was short-lived.
OK THEN you should allow me to show up in your Dojo wearing a black belt regardless of my past martial Arts training because I decided to wear it in tribute to Bruce Lee.
Well done, PI. You win the internet for this week.
To quote a certain ‘Mad Dog’…”Not just no, but FUCK NO.”
Having trained under some martial arts instructors with some very, very serious pedigrees (and never getting anywhere close to earning a ‘black belt’ or its equivalent), what I am still absolutely certain of is that any accredited instructor would know damn well that the only indicators of rank and/or achievement would be the ones used and passed down through the generations by the applicable school/system/etc.
This is like saying Bruce Lee figured a Medal of Honor would be appropriately symbolic because he was the baddest MFer in the World (apologies to Chuck Norris).
If this guy was and is an actual sanctioned instructor in a recognized Tae Kwon Do association, there is no way he’d ever think of doing this for the reasons stated.
Holy shit it’s contagious. I now have the overwhelming desire to wear a belt and stripes representing a 7th Dan Black Belt in some random martial art because I hold the World Record in total # of responding cops evaded when fleeing the Hot Tuna after Totally Not Doing Anything Wrong Whatsoever.
His credentials and lineage are questionable. I am a 2nd degree black belt I.T.F. I have never heard of wang guk Taekwondo. Is he certified by the kukiwon? If not..LEAVE!
So now the phonies out there sporting Bronze and Silver Stars can use the excuse that they got them for breaking a board in half while wearing their pajamas.
Just lovely…
Having never served in the military, or grew up in a military family, our naïveté was short-lived in wearing those medals. We ordered them through a medal company solely to represent Martial Art achievements, when some of my instructors who were in the military told us it is disrespectful to wear them, we immediately removed them and had custom medals made. Not once has it been said or written that either of us were in the military. The suits were bought at Macy’s. I am shocked by the personal attacks. Please remove this false story.
And the ribbon rack in the picture above?
Yes. All military anything was removed years ago.
Yes everything has been changed
Turd.
Why? Why are we a turd?
Take a wild guess.
YOUR LOSER HUSBAND WORE MEDALS AND RIBBONS FOR MILITARY SERVICE and he never served in the Military. I’m amazed that he served in WW2 and Nam. How’s it feel being married to a 75 year+ man? Who’s his plastic surgeon?
It’s going to be a pleasure to meet your family. Does anyone BO fight? My 11 year old and I will take on any team of two as long as its video taped. Please, post a date and we’ll be there. Oh, side bet. You lose CLOSE DOWN YOUR BUSINESS, we lose you’ll still close down, lack of people signing up ? A poser wife defending a liar..damn women are gullible and stupid except the ladies on TAH?
For crying out loud, quit your whinning. If you are trained, sniffing like a wimp isn’t setting a good example for your students ?
And I’m shocked at the personal stupidity of people who have lived in a country that has been at war for nearly 14 years, who never once thought about what military medals stood for, what they were used for, or what they meant! You’ve never seen the President award a Medal of Honor? You’ve never once seen a military funeral for one of our young men or women who’ve actually served? They’re all over the internet, all over the television. You have no idea what achievement is, and clearly you have no idea of reality in the world today either. I have an idea — why don’t you drop by a recruiting office sometime, and see if you can’t eradicate your ignorance about the military and the world in general.
So you are saying that it is OK if some of us publicly display awards/accoutrement of marshal arts on our persons, then claim we are simply ignorant? Maybe that would be OK with you, but to me it would be thumbing our noses at everyone who has actually earned the awards/accoutrement.
We are not publicly displaying anything. We apologized for our error. These pictures were taken several years ago. I don’t know where the person got these. Never once have we claimed to be military. Never ever once have we tried to get a discount for military.
No it is not ok to use other medals. Which is why, when it came to our attention, we stopped using them (for a few months at the most) and made our own.
I have NEVER thumbed my nose at the military. I have always had a deep respect for all men and women serving our country.
You continue to defend the indefensible. Disgusting.
Evidently the unearned medals were displayed somewhere publicly or there would not now be a pic of them being worn.
Yeah, you did thumb your nose at the military when you decided to order up some awards that you had not earned. You can claim ignorance from now until the end of time, but your actions brought this on. Pretending otherwise is ridiculous.
Most of those awards are from the branch of service from which I am retired. Your words have convinced me that you have little to no respect for the United States Air Force or the awards friends of mine have died earning.
I was willing to accept an apology, but you have talked yourself out of that. Your deep state of denial is still reversible, but you clearly are not ready to even try.
We all make stupid mistakes. It is best to just own them and get on with life. Let us know when you get to that stage of life.
Yeah, the explanation has now ticked me off more than did the original offense.
I suggest the Lovett family go to the VA hospital in Oahu and speak to the injured men and women who proudly served.
Then volunteer to read a book to our Military personnel who are still in comas.. Excuse me while I cry in my bathroom so nobody will hear ??
Sniff…blow your nose. Getting snot all over your jamas
Just like an old cash register ringing and a “NO SALE” tab pops up:
Yeah, that should be martial, not marshal
Which part of the story is false?
Mrs. Lovett,
If memory serves, Tae Kwon Do has been around since sometime in the 1940s (post-WW2).
Assuming that your husband is an officially sanctioned instructor in an accredited association…please explain the thought process behind the apparent need for something besides the recognized belts and additional rank indicators?
I have been around serious martial arts practitioners nearly all of my life and I have never heard of anything remotely resembling your husband’s actions and motivation behind them.
As a matter of fact, I have witnessed the exact opposite. Individual styles, schools, etc. that have a credible pedigree tend to be deeply steeped in tradition.
Unless you floor me with some response that is so amazing, believable, and verifiable that it also manages to convince me at the same time that Liberace was not gayer than a bag of dicks, I regret to inform you that my gut is going to continue to convince me that my BS meter is accurate and active.
I apologize for my ignorance in wearing the medals, in my mind at the time I actually did it out of respect for the military as I used them for a symbol of mastership in Taekwondo which takes 20 years to earn. When it was brought to my attention that it could be seen as though I was misrepresenting I immediatley stopped wearing them which I only wore a couple of times around 6 years ago. I was ignorant but it was never with malice, disrespect or ever trying to state I was in the military. I have trained hundreds of Military families in my studio as students and parents and they will all testify as to how much I respect all military families. Please accept my apologies. By the way some of your comments were pretty funny! Respectfully; David Lovett.
Whatever, dude.
You should hustle your sorry ass down there to All-Points Logistics in Merritt Island, Florida and set up shop.
The irony is that someone (self-proclaimed, no less) with your level of experience should know better.
So it would be OK for me to wear awards/accoutrement from martial arts as a way of showing respect for those who did something I never did?
And no, it’s not that it “could” be seen as misrepresenting yourself, it absolutely IS misrepresenting yourself.
But thanks for the apology. It is conditionally accepted. Only time will tell if it is sincere.
“I have trained hundreds of Military families in my studio as students and parents and they will all testify as to how much I respect all military families.”
And you just ratted yourself out, Bubba. With this much contact with military families, there IS NO WAY IN HELL you didn’t know something about military awards. You just identified yourself as a lying sack of shit.
We are not lying. What is wrong with you?
Would certainly never suggest that I speak for anyone other than myself, but your attitude has done more damage than the original offense of ignorantly wearing those unearned medals.
Get over yourself. You disrespected us and now deny it.
Whatever.
What is wrong with me is people like you who think they can flit through life making excuses for their ignorance of the most fundamental truths. Martial arts are about the honor of martial discipline, not the flash of spinning back kicks. Clearly, you know as little about martial arts as you do about our nation’s military.
???✋very well explained PINTO…
Poser David,
I’m not military anything..but law enforcement trained and trainer. I made the Mrs. poser a offer. Read it and post a time and date. Then I’ll contact you and switch it and the date can’t be posted on TAH. Two against two BO fighting. You game?
I jumped on his Facebook, started out in Ventura area, sold out and opened in Hawaii. I’m ready to visit Hawaii for a BO FIGHTING COMPETITION ?
Your wife said Military heroes explained it was disrespectful to wear, then one of you said MILITARY STUDENTS. GET IN A HUDDLE, AND THEN POST YOUR FAKE APOLOGY…I DON’T BELIEVE A DAMN THING YOU’VE BOTH POSTED…
Grand Master Lovett..WTF? Ventura, CA…ain’t that a hop skip and jump from Santa Barbara? Oh REB! You know it is! Go ahead and print everything mom, I’ll get the gear together and let’s go play with the Grand Master Liar.
Just don’t try to hop skip and jump to Hawaii. Wouldn’t be prudent.
GD…read they moved from Ventura to Hawaii. I really need a vacation and my granddaughter said AM I FIGHTING THE MAN OR WOMEN? BOTH if you think you can. We all warm up first? Yup. To see where they lack
Jonn,
Have you ever been wrong? No! Why? I investigate and have proof before I post. SEE I TOLD YOU, these guys aren’t stupid and neither are TAH posters.. Except nuts…
Still waiting for “Jani” to tell us which part of the story is false. That sure sounds like a garden variety sock puppet from here – but I may be over reacting. (Not likely, but always possible.
Not holding my breath. And am wishing that the crickets would find a new tune.
We never claimed to be in the military. We never stole anyone’s valor. We were told by some of our students who were in the military that it is wrong and we stopped wearing them. Why is everyone being so mean? We said we were sorry. We didn’t circulate those pictures. Any picture we had displayed was taken down years ago. What more do you want? Forgive us. We were stupid, ignorant, naive but we are not lying sacks of shit.
Everyone is acting like we are running around wearing these medals trying to get over on them. We wore them several years ago a couple of times over a couple of months. Neve once did we say we were in the military.
Sorry doesn’t mean crap. BY WEARING THE MEDALS AND RIBBONS HE CRAPPED ON EVERY GRAVE OF THOSE WHO DIED, MIA, POW. Wait, ask a ten year old so you’ll understand ?
Maybe I should wear a “black belt” and parade around as a martial artist?
Any issues?
Green, yes they would have a problem, just like I would. I don’t walk around with my BO and training wear. My bad, I do use my BO while hiking.
I also don’t wear all my patches I earned while in Brownies and Girl Scouts. THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND..
What I don’t understand is why you needed your students who were in the military to tell you this was wrong. why wasn’t God telling you? (It’s a rhetorical question) How’s those Franchising Opportunities working out? (Again, a rhetorical question).
“This is a video taken of the grandmaster of CTA, Christian Taekwondo Association, speaking on hearing from God.”
I can possibly understand the reasoning for the actual medals. Ignorance of something is understandable sometimes. what i don’t get is why the ribbons are there also. they seem to be some pretty high up awards that are rather bland looking while some of the junior awards that are actually more “Attractive” if they were just for looks.
From my viewpoint, it looks like he was trying to be something that he was not. Every award i earned and proud of, even my National defense w/*.
From our viewpoint, having to read about the scum that steal, lie and reap benefits that most of us would never think to ask for because we did what we did because of the guy next to us kind of pisses us off.
While i wish i could give you the benefit of the doubt about your reasons for the decorations, its been my personal experience that 99.9% it is what it actually seems.
If the story that the man and his wife say happened is true then they are guilty of monumentally poor judgement and not much else. If they were apprised of their mistake and immediately took the medals off and did not wear them again and have apologized for it what else does anybody want out of them. Not many of the true posers have the nerve to come onto TAH and apologize.
I’m good with the apology. Lesson learned.
This literally made me cry. Thank you. I never meant to offend anyone.
I’m prone to lean toward jonp on this one as well. I, for one, have been in trouble with the military and have been appropriately punished for lying. I know all too well that good people make mistakes. it’s how those people recover from the mistake and learn from it that truly dictates our character. HOWEVER; yes, the dreaded however…. I’m finding it exceptionally hard to believe that Mr. Lovett is at all ranked in TKD. As a dan holder in Shotakan and a current student of Hapkido, I know a thing or two about how ranking works in the senior dan levels. hell, I know 10th dans who hold that rank simply because they paid for the belt handsomely to the founder of the style. That said, if Mr. Lovett has had even a year of actual experience, he would know that the term Master is reserved for 7th dan, and grandmaster is 8th and above. By claiming to be a 6th dan grandmaster, he is effectively claiming to have been an instructor for over 20yrs — he should know better. so, wrongful display of military decorations aside, his martial arts rank is also extremely doubtful. a simple google search yields a school commercial and one of him breaking a board. Both of these videos show is complete lack of proper form and display techniques improperly done that even a common 10yr old yellow belt could perform without hesitation.
Well said. I’m a 2nd dan ITF TKD black belt, and I’ve never heard of Wang guk Tae Kwon Do. He’s a fraud, and needs to be exposed. Period.
Y’all, I’m with jonp and Another Pat on this one. These people made an honest mistake, immediately stopped when it was pointed out to them, made every reasonable effort to make amends, and even now, they make no effort to excuse themselves, but only to continue to apologize. There is no evidence that they ever used claimed any military service whatsoever, nor that they continued to wear the insignia once they became aware of their mistake. Time to give this one a rest.
I agree with jonp. They both apologized. They are better than the other folks who come here defending themselves. I am 100% against those who lie or embellish a military career/awards, but in this case, I do believe an honest mistake was made, most likely out of ignorance or poor judgment.
Also, I am very familiar where they live in Hawaii considering I was starioned at Schofield Barracks for 3 years. The Island of Ohahu and their location is surrounded by Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. You can’t miss being Military there. That was good that our Military Brothers/Sisters pointed out their error. It was also good the couple took the guidance and advice provided to them as well as admitting they made a mistake. Again, alot better than others I have seen/heard thru out the years denying their lies/embellishments and digging themselves deeper in a hole.
Oahu…spell check error. And when I meant their location, I mean where the couple currently reside.
One last comment. To Mr. and Mrs. Lovett: You admitted you never served in the Military or grew up as a Military Brat or surrounded by Military. Before I read your sincere apologies and explanation, I was very offended when I saw the pictures. The Air Force Cross is a very high award, next to the Medal of Honor…and our troops do not “win” those awards. For those of us who have served or are serving, to see pictures that were posted here today or even read about someone boasting about awards and rank that they never received is a slap in a face. Just as you both take pride in what you do with Martial Arts and your Faith is the same with those who chose to be part of our Military. Hopefully, now that you know all of this, your knowledge of our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen/Airwomen and Marines has expanded. Trust me…the folks on TAH are the GOOD GUYS. Please take some time and read thru the Blogs…and you will then understand why hairs stand up when we see pictures such as what was posted today.
I have read through all of them. Again I apologize. I never meant to misrepresent , steal, defame anyone’s earned valor. Thankyou
Mahalo…:)
I’m mystified by one small thing that does not seem to enter into this at all.
It took me approximately 5 seconds to find one (of many) companies which provide medals and other awards for martial arts. Here’s the link:
https://www.trophydepot.com/Martial-Arts-Trophies-and-Awards/C256_G4266/
There are trophy companies all over the place. Some will do custom work. I used a trophy company to order ribbons and trophies for horse shows in the 1970s, long before there was an internet to use for searching for things like this.
But nowhere does either of the Lovetts indicate any intention to use a standard internet search engine to find martial arts awards.
There is no excuse for this. Buying military awards at a surplus store to hang on yourself to promote your business is not just an act of ignorance. It is pure arrogance at work.
I can accept the apology, however, the laziness and arrogance displayed in not making use of the internet to look for appropriate awards are inexcusable.
I am also in the JonP camp on this one. The explanation is plausible and none of us can find where he claimed Military service. He has asked for our forgiveness and pending any instances where he claimed something he is not, then it is,IMHO, settled.
I think we should save our ire for the non-repentant and flagrant SV trolls.
There are plenty of them…
Posers have apologized before, however, are they putting up a sign in their businesses that say he never served in the MILITARY? I DOUBT IT…
https://www.facebook.com/#
Hello my Name is Jose Ramirez and I am one of Mr. David Lovett (Grand Master) certified instructor and I am a Retired Navy.. I can tell you that I was one of the students that advice Mr. Lovett that the medals he was wearing were only for Military Service Personnel and that he could not wear them..
Grand Master Lovett understood and remove them off his Uniform and apologize to all the students and parents that were Military. This was a mistake that Grand Master Lovett is really embarrassed about.
The pictures you posted were removed a long time ago and he actually went and ask a medal company to design medals strictly for the organization (non military medals) that are common used by other Martial Arts group ie: the ATA, ITF and WTF just to mention a few…
I truly appreciated that we have awesome Retired Military and Active Military that are always making sure no one is trying to still Valor… I was very angry myself when Grand Master Lovett did what he did and we educated him about it and I can’t tell you that he never intented to act like he was in the Military..
About the other stories people are posting I am not sure, he has never mention and have never told Military stories to any of other students that were or are Military or to me….
Very Respectfully,
Ramirez, Jose A

WITH A NAME like that I’m signing my little one up ASAP.,
I just off the phone with Cobra Kai Sensei Kreese he said “Your @ss is grass” when he sees you at the 2016 All Valley Tournament .
John Kreese (Martin Kove) was the man!
And he was an actor.
Leaves a lot to say about this clown.
He flew Rambo back to Vietnam … “Back in the badlands my man “
13B..
Damn, just damn and share the video PLEASE!
It seems to me after reading and listening to David and Jani that this is just another test, put here by the Lord.
God works in mysterious ways, if this is his will what are they complaining about? They should rejoice in the Lord giving them this opportunity to repent from a sin of their past.
If he knows their heart, then he knows if they ordered those medals knowing full well they were doing something wrong.
First John says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
First Corinthians says “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
Hebrews, “For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.”
Proverbs, “Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.”
It seems to me that God was not satisfied with the way they dealt with this matter. In their heart they knew they were doing wrong. Confession is good for the soul.
The will of God will never lead you to a place where the Grace of God can not keep you, be faithful and humble as you walk in his grace.
The light of the living God watches you and keeps you, may peace be with you as he watches over you all of your days.
Spoken like a potential franchisee. Would you like a brochure with a voucher for a free 35mm camera? No obligation.
GDC, The Lord speaks to us through Jude, “And have mercy on those who doubt”.
Who can know what prosperity awaits them if they turn from sin. Brother, I need look no further than the word from James, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
Fill yourself with the brochure of life my brother, the Lord has already fulfilled your obligation.
I’ll fill out the check and mail it if we can work a little faith healing into the franchise. I heard I will be rewarded 10 times…this week only.
And “GDC, The Lord speaks to us through Jude, “And have mercy on those who doubt”.”
That recursion MOJO made my head hurt. Way to go, Escher.
… and out of the wilderness cameth the old dog and he spoketh these words:
He who shall buyeth awards that are not his and adorn his rainment with them shall be chastised.
It is well and good that they repent and know they have stepped on their tallywacker.
However, once their name and image are enscribed in the book of Jonn, it shall not be stricken.
It is not as a punishment for those that trangressed, but for a warning to those who are about to sin.
Then the old dog scratch his ass and wandered back into the wilderness, stopping only to piss on a shaking bush by a disgraced Lawer’s house.
Amen!
Thou dost suffer from softness of the cardiac organ, Dave Hardin. Herein is the proper response:
Behold! The field in which I grow my fucks. Lay thine eyes upon it, and see that it is barren.
This is the first commandment and the second is like unto it.
Thou shalt not wander in my field of fucks, if thou art impure and inebriated for thou shalt fall down upon thy inglorious face and lie in mud like the swine thou art.
And the third doth follow:
Thou shalt carry thy weapon aimed skyward when thou dost enter my field of fucks, for shouldst thou aim it at the dirt with thy booger hook on the bang switch, thou shalt shoot thyself in the foot and shall suffer my wrath endlessly.
Here endeth the lesson for today.
I got one commandment:
Don’t start no shit,
there won’t be no shit.
Just as Buddha does. Their full of themselves and got CAUGHT ?
One could almost believe they thought the medals worn on the right side of his sport coat were “gongs” they purchased to represent some sort of martial art achievement. But the ribbon rack over the left breast pocket? Please.
Yeah, the rack is what stands out for me. I can’t think of one martial art association that hangs its awards on a military style rack. I could be ignorant of it, because I’m no martial art expert, but I’ve never seen it, if it exists.
I used the way back machine to go back to the very first instance of their CTA web page as archived in 2007. Front and center “Franchise Opportunities Available”. Gotta love it when God talks to a letter carrier and shows him the path to riches via Tae Kwon Do and The New Testament and the franchise business model. Hallelujah!!
So, to paraphrase Leonard Cohen, what you’re saying is this:
I saw your sign on the dojo’s arch
Your fibs are not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah!
Is that close?
Just a note to those who haven’t been to the Hair’s Website. Today he was in Keene, New Hampshire and made a bust of Biblical and Epic proportions.
We are talking a VFW Officer roasted in front of the entire Chapter.
He did a brief after action tonight and will post up the actual bust soon.
The guy was a Phony Vietnam SEAL who claimed a Navy Cross.
Don took a Retired CPO Vietnam SEAL with him who went Apeshit on the guy. I’m talking they took his Phony SEAL ring and scraped all his bullshit Stickers off his car.
A retired CPO Teamguy and Vietnam veteran…
If it was MCPO Hershel Davis, I’m surprised the scumbag got off that light. MCPO Davis left a couple of his fingers in Vietnam.
If it was Rudy (I doubt it was), Rudy would just have stared at the scumbag until his heart stopped.
Both of them total badasses.
…or MOH winning Vietnam SEAL Mike Thornton.
Holy MOLLY!
These martial art military phonies are getting way too much…we need to start being on the alert for this trend!
One thing that always gets me is the need for those whom have achieved something within a given discipline to ornament themselves with bling. When I see a person with all kinds of patches, titles and awards saying how great they are, it makes me think if its true or not. The real bad asses don’t need patches and titles.. Their experience, training and actions speak for themselves. Grand Master is fine if true, but man don’t dress up like a peacock to attract attention to yourself.
Hey Guys,
Long time listener first time caller here. A USMC buddy of mine turned me on to this site and I love it. Not much Stolen Valor in the ROK, due to conscription. Our response to “I severed in the _______” is usually “who hasn’t” and exaggeration of service is usually quickly shut down because everyone knows how to check.
Anyways I did a quick look up of this guy in the Kukkiwon (국기원) database for all blackbelts (Both Dan & Poom)and couldn’t find him. For those who don’t know, Kukkiwon is the World Taekwondo Headquarters and Academy. It was established by the ROK government and any blackbelt in Taekwondo not issued by them or an official agent is not legitimate and only a costume piece. With that said I could have entered the wrong Hangul characters but I doubt it as I tried every “spelling” that would work for David Lovett. Oh and a “Grand Master” in TaeKwonDo is recognized by the Kukkiwon, WTF, ITF, KTA, and UWTA as a 9th Dan and higher. He claims to be a 6th Dan and he really should know better than calling himself a “Grand Master.” I am a 5th Dan and would never even think about using such a cherished title. Bottom line, dose not pass the overall smell test to me.
