Leslie Wayne Frazier is not a Vietnam Veteran or a POW
Leslie Wayne Frazier is a holistic counselor. We’ve had a couple of his former military clients tell us how he claims to have been a Vietnam veteran and how, when his aircraft was shot down, he was captured by the Viet Cong and held as a prisoner for months. Finally, he got sick of that and escaped and then wandered around the jungle taking revenge on his former captors. The stuff of movies. The problem is that the DPAA doesn’t have him listed;
The National Personnel Records Center says that he never left the Continental United States during his time in the Air Force. He was discharged as a sergeant and an Inventory Management Specialist and his only award was the National Defense Service Medal;
Nothing indicates that he served in Vietnam, or that he was a prisoner of war. The folks at the Fake Warrior Project had a letter from one of his victims describing that above listed scenario two years ago and we got another one this morning from an Army veteran to whom Frazier told the POW story. I’m not sure how a counselor figures that lying to his patients is useful therapy.

Does Leslie Wayne Frazier still love nature despite what it did to him? He ought to slip into something more comfortable, like a coma!!
I know a real Holistic health practitioner and consular. I don’t think this fella could go through all the classes and schools. He looks like a middle aged Santa….
Bet you that he got help from a local by the name Lon Duc Dong, who nursed him back to health by giving him massive quantities of Cream of Sum Yung Guy soup.
Assclown…
Not to pile on, but isn’t an Air Force enlistment 4 years? I was Army, so others will know more.
What is it with these people? Made Sgt. in 2, now he’s a fabulist counselor. And allegations about being in a small, select group. Amazing.
One wonders who is counseling whom?
A counselor just like that douchebag in Ft. Worth, Michael Killam….just like that douchebag in CT, Gregory Banks.
Is that the Michael Killam that does peer support? What’s the deal on him?

Thank you for the info. It’s an eyeopener.
Hmmm, THIS Gregory C. Banks?

Thanks for the link…?
BH Jr: it’s possible he was released early due to the post-Vietnam drawdown. Getting out as an E4 with just over 2 years says he may not have been “supertrooper” but probably wasn’t a sh!thead either.
Maybe it’s an Air Force thing and I’m not getting it, but there seem to be a couple of strange things going on with Frazier’s DD-214:
I went through DLI with Air Force people, and without exception they all had four-year enlistments, which seemed to be an AF-wide general rule. Frazier, for whatever reason, was apparently in and out in 26 months. While it’s true that the services were handing out some downsizing drops at the time, a 22-month drop seems like a lot.
What’s also interesting is that during those 26 months Frazier evidently had six separate PCS, not TDY, assignments. Basic at Lackland would account for 8 weeks, but what about the rest of it? There could be a perfectly legitimate explanation, but it seems odd.
Thanks, Hondo. I never could make sense of Air Force or Navy ranks. In the “Old Army” (ahem) E4 was either a Corporal or a Spec 4. I was in the E4 Mafia, Specialist. And if you weren’t a dud, E4 in 2 would be normal.
Missed the drawdown part, too. I was gone by then.
I made SP4 (E-4) in six months. But I also graduated first in my class during AIT at Fort Devens, MA. 1972-1973.
As an afterthought the sumbich do look sincere, don’t he?
I’d say that look on his face seems more like he just was penetrated by the neighbor’s poodle…for the third time.
…since lunch…
His records were destroyed in the fire when the star gate malfunctioned in Area 51 when an rusty Jaguar missing a door ran into the control room.
Prior to 1992 a Sergeant in the Air Force was E-4, ie Buck Sergeant it was eliminated and now E-4 is strictly a Senior Airman with no NCO variation.
Another boring jerk whose story is fabricated out of space radiation and wishful encounters with bean soup.
And he’s counseling people? In what? Holistic health is more than just yapping. I would definitely check his listed credentials in his ad in Psychology Today before I’d go to him. In fact, I’d go to someone trained in traditional Chinese medicine before I’d go to this guy, because I know that traditional medicine works and is permanent. This guy? I’d have some serious questions before committing, since he’s lying about his service.
Loser…has a boo boo on his license…
He’ll probably admit to not being in VN or being a POW. He’ll say that he only said that stuff to “connect” with his patients. Part of his assholistic approach don’t ya know…
Still a POSE…
More like “Inventory Manhole Specialist”.
I can only imagine what transpires on this turd’s therapy couch.
Loser.
He should have is licensure summarily pulled.
He lists trauma and PTSD as specialties. Anyone want to bet that he uses the stories to pull in more clients because they think that he might understand their situations based on his experience?
That’s a sure bet, Bobo. And how many of them are women? Gullible women, too, who need a shoulder to cry on.
Just in case anyone wants to confirm Jonn’s findings above themselves – here are links to DPAA’s lists of Vietnam POWS who escaped enemy captivity, returned alive during/at the end of the war, or who have otherwise been accounted-for:
http://www.dpaa.mil/portals/85/Documents/VietnamAccounting/pmsea_escapee.pdf
http://www.dpaa.mil/portals/85/Documents/VietnamAccounting/pmsea_returnee.pdf
http://www.dpaa.mil/portals/85/Documents/VietnamAccounting/pmsea_acc_p_name.pdf
These lists are comprehensive, and even list people held for periods of less than 24 hours – e.g., those who were captured, then were rescued or escaped the same day. Not listed there means “not a legitimate Vietnam War POW”.
If this LSoS were telling the truth, he’d be on the first and third lists above. He’s not. In fact, no one with the last name “Frazier” is on any of those lists.
Screw this lying bastard.
My little brother tells everyone he is a Vietnam vet. In reality he could not get through basic training. everybody in Franklin, Mo where he used to live thinks he a Vietnam vet. he now lives in Hawarden, Ia. I am a real Vietnam Vet. thank you
David, are you saying that this Leslie Wayne Frazier is your brother? Or are you referring to someone else?
Something very wrong about his permanent assignments. He enlisted in Louisville and there is an assignment to “AAFES, Louisville, KY” which could have either been delayed enlistment or while dealing with a situation at home. Lackland AFB would have been basic training then Lowry AFB for Supply Management School. Then this super trooper had three more permanent station assignments in less than 4 years with a discharge at Travis. This does not pass the smell test and I suspect he may have reupped was put on orders for Nam, got cold feet at Travis and they booted him. E-4 in 4 years in the Air Force during Nam was not unusual.
Whoaa, back up, I just caught he only had two years on active duty. Wish this site had editing capability. The number of assignments versus his AD time when coupled with basic and tech school does not add up. May want to go back to NPRC on this one.
I’ve seen FOIA replies for USAF personnel that listed longish TDY/TAD/TCS assignments. So it’s possible one or more of those locations listed was not a PCS.
Timing doesn’t seem to work for a “I refuse to go to Vietnam” type – he wasn’t discharged until well after the war had ended.
I’m thinking his assignment to either Homestead or McCoy was his first permanent duty assignment; he got sent TDY to the other for a while; got moved to Travis during some post-Vietnam drawdown shuffling (as a supply type, he could go literally anywhere); and then got released early due to post-Vietnam drawdown. I’d also guess now he regrets “missing out on Vietnam” and is thus lying through his teeth about his past.
I just saw this while in flight and I’m blown away….this jerk was my PTSD counselor and passed of his story as real.
Waiting to land so I can get a shot of his book….’Boy Soldier’ detailing his life and time in Vietnam.
Please email me, I am trying to gather enough accounts of his claims to pass to the State Licensing Authority. He also was my recent PTSD therapist and I knew something was up with this guy. He has now contacted a local newspaper to defend himself, they pulled the one positive comment from this thread and accounted for him being a veteran and ignored all the other claims. Now they are trying to make it out that I am a crazy veteran that is out to get this “poor innocent counselor” my email is roberts_247@yahoo.com

When you click on his name at the beginning of this story, the link will take you to his list of credentials and specialty treatments he offers. Missing from his impressive list is Pathological Liars and Unearned War Hero Mentality. Read: I have a unique insight into Addiction, PTSD, and Mood /Personality Disorders. I f____ng bet you do, retard! Treat thyself “doctor”. Through the years I have done some work for those in the therapy field; some of which have clearly shown brain fuck addict. Please click on the link to find his base of operations and phone number. Ten to one he is going to be very popular tomorrow in his home town area.
OOH, you mean like local media outlets getting alerted about his con games? 😀
Bing..Bing…Bing!! Correcto API. “Johnny, tell him what we’ve got for him.” “A new car for the good man. Yes API you’ve won the new convertible which will allow you to drive down the road reading new editions of TAH, and you can toss the phonies right out the top of your car. Plus, we have a special wide side door called the Bernathydoor which you can send the big fat turds right down the slide. Your first trip will have none other than the Leslie Wayne Frazier noted above. He will be riding in a special oversized doggie box so he can further his tales of escaping from the damned mean and cantankerous RVN/API. So mean he once took a whiz on Frazier and told him it was a golden shower…and to enjoy it.” Now we warn you API, this man carries accupuncture needles with him and is likely to do a lobotomy on himself once he’s loose. After all, by his standards, he is exceptional at diagnosing those who need mental treatment.
So I emailed this to a good number of counsellors in the Corbin/Lexington area as well as my Psychiatrist and Peer Group Counsellor at the Lexington VA PTSD/Addiction Partial Hospitalization program (great program for any vets in KY that may need it. It’s long (6 weeks)and intense but worth it.) See if we can get a response here from his colleagues or himself.
I hope the VA is not paying him…..
Here’s my best shot. Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology is located in Frankfort. Phone number is 502-782-8812. Hope to hear from them by tomorrow, as I left my number.
Think about it, we have a responsibility to prevent this kind of ass clown from hurting people who truly need help. He’d fit in that category from where I stand. To let this pass knowing his pathological liar status, is beneath every one of us. Not to mention the fact that we all resent his crapping on the graves of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Fake heroes like this dishonor any and all who made the sacrifices to serve in RVN or ANY war for that matter. You know the world is getting more f___ed up by the day when those we used to see on a box of Wheaties now show up on the front page of a glamour magazine. We owe it to our fallen brothers to do what we can to make things right. Exposing this phony is the RIGHT thing to do.
***Attention*** He has now contacted a local newspaper to defend himself, they pulled the one positive comment from this thread and accounted for him being a veteran and ignored all the other claims. The newspaper is the Corbin Ky News Journal, the Internet story is only half of what was written and the rest of the story was printed today. My guess is to reduce the past clients from seeing what has been printed. I can provide a pic of the actual story to anyone that wants to see. Now they are trying to make it out that I am a crazy veteran that is out to get this “poor innocent counselor” my email is roberts_247@yahoo.com

I provided all the details to this news paper and also asked to remain unnamed, small town reasons. They did not honor my request to be unnamed and also used none of the factual data that was provided by our good friends defending the honor of our Vietnam Veterans. The link to this newspaper is http://www.thenewsjournal.net/details/9540/Corbin-therapist-defends-against-Internet-criticism#comments
Does anyone have a height on Frazier or info concerning his resume or whereabouts during the 90″s, thanks
