Carter fires aide

| November 13, 2015

Lt General Ron Lewis

Joining a long list of flag officers who have been fired in the last few years is Lieutenant General Ron Lewis, an aide to Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, an air cavalry officer who came up through the ranks from Chicago streets has been accused of “allegations of misconduct”;

“I expect the highest possible standards of conduct from the men and women in this department, particularly from those serving in the most senior positions,” Carter said in his statement. “There is no exception.”

The senior defense official said Lewis would report to the Army Vice Chief of Staff while the allegations are investigated.

“The secretary was very surprised to learn of these allegations,” the official said.

The inspector general’s office confirmed it had received a referral from Carter’s office regarding Lewis and said it would conduct an investigation. It gave no further details.

Interesting to see how this plays out and what grade he will be allowed to retire. On one hand is an allegation enough to ruin what has been described as a stellar career? Regardless even if the allegations are proven false his military career is over.

“The secretary was very surprised to learn of these allegations,” the official said.

That’s an odd thing to say, isn’t it?

Think they had history. LTG Lewis was Secy Carters aide on previous assignments.

“Allegations of misconduct.” That’s a very broad brush to tar someone with. There’s no way to comment on this until we learn what ‘misconduct’ he’s ‘alleged’ to have been involved in.

How in hell could ANYONE in this administration from the top down determine what “misconduct” is? They are ALL freaking corrupt and incompetent!!

H1

Wowsers.
Someone’s spouse involved?
As in less than one degree of separation?

Given the way most of these stories play out, it’s probably the safe bet that his piston was found in the wrong cylinder.

Hayabusa

Or his pistol was found in the wrong holster, if you will.

It’s gonna happen. Someone is going to play the race card.

MSG Eric

Don’t forget, he’s from Chicago too.

I’m sure Ash was sweating this one for a long while before he made the decision. Maybe even years.

“White Privilege” against a black high ranking officer? GASP! “Color” me surprised!! (obvious /sarc)

Club Manager

Safe to say it was alleged he stuck his dick in something he should not have. I don’t think the general will play the race card but will bet good money someone else will try on his behalf.

Former CC of US Army Japan MG Michael Harrison retired as a Brigadier.

Former AFRICOM chief GEN Kip Ward was retired minus a star.

A few black 0-6 & E-9 types over the years got sent to the pen.

White, black, yellow, brown, purple…if you’re gonna f’up bad — better be a general/admiral.

Sorry – I meant to respond to nbcguy54ACTUAL.

There’s part of my that suspects a purge has been going on for a while now.

Once an allegation is made and made public, there’s really no way in hell for the targeted person to fight back. We see that sort of shit happening all the time in colleges these days.

On the civilian side, any time someone pissed off the Obama Regime, there’d be “child pornography” found on their personal computers. And, in the case of at least one reporter, the stuff was buried so deep in the system that it took a computer forensics specialist to find it.

Catastrophic zipper failure?

My uncle use to say never dip your pen in company ink…. All you have to do is change company to ARMY and it all makes sense to me Lol…

I’m hoping the allegations are false, but one does not know until all the facts are in (or a preponderance of them at least).
What is sad is that if he is falsely accused, he still is SOL.

Dang, every time I see one of these I secretly hope it’s the one that I know of that shot up from a 1 star to a 4 star over the last few years without ever hearing a shot fired in anger.
