Dustin Tripp Parks; phony Iraq veteran
There’s this fellow in North Carolina, by the name of Dustin Tripp Parks who claimed to a local TV crew (Editor Note: the TV station pulled the story, see the screen shot below) that he was a veteran of the Iraq War, and a trip to Guantanamo, that he needs a service dog to help him with his PTSD from all of his war wounds and stuff;
Tripp is a veteran and after six years of active duty, including two tours in Iraq and one in Cuba, he was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
“I’ve had to take medication throughout the day. I didn’t like social environments,” Tripp said.
For years, the veteran’s world was clouded with anxiety. However, he said that distress and uneasiness lifted when he met Tank earlier this year.
You know, because every war veteran has a service dog these days.Yeah, well, if he went to Iraq or Cuba, it was on his own dime, because the National Personnel Records Center says he had nine months of time in the National Guard and the only active duty time he served was for training;
He has also tried to raise fund so he could go to Syria and help the Kurds,but his friends and family tell us it was to pay off his back-child-support.
As near as we can tell, he has more extensive records in regards to the judicial system, as recently as May and as far back as five years ago.

29th ID has done at least two deployments to Gitmo to serve as force protection and one to Iraq. He was probably in the unit but they deployed without him.
This guy shows a history of a pattern of misjudgment. Help getting to Syria? They guy doesn’t suffer from PTS, he’s suffering from a case of having his one brain celled activity fighting to take him over instead of it doing its job. 🙄

You know, in spite of all the Intel on this guy as outlined above, when I read “Help me to Syria …” I had this overwhelming compulsion to donate generously. The dude really knows how to craft a sentence. Makes me wonder if he is an Oathkeepers PAO or something.
He also talked about going to “Napal” as well, does he mean the Napa Valley in CA or Nepal?

Sure, with some, it does take some real effort to prove that they are fabricating their stories, but some of them are so transparent, it’s harder to fall off a chair in zero gravity.

Ive told the service dog organization “operation sidekick”, the news agency, as well as posted this info on operation sidekicks facebook photo of tripp. 1 response where I claried that he did lie about his service but silent beyond that. I will be taking his records to their 5k nezt month in case he tries to apout off his bullshit there.
According to “Operation Sidekick” he’s telling people he’s deploying again soon. I wonder if he’s expecting another atint in the big house and needs to explain his absence.
Quick Update. I just got off the phone with the station that did the interview and article with this guy. Randy, from the news station called and thanked me for bringing this to his attention and I spent a good while talking to him about the “victimless” crime of stolen valor. I just wanted to say it commendable to see a reporter atep up and correct or selete their story after this stuff comea to light.

Yeah, i talked to the TV station about doing a follow up without mentioning Tripp and with Sara over at “Operation Sidekick”. They’re good people, they’re as upset about this as we are. If i hear anything else Ill try and keep you updated.
You know something? I’d have more respect for a guy if he went on GoFundMe and said straight out; “Look; I’m behind on my child support, and I could use some help”.
That would be honest, and I could respect that. I’d even help a guy.

Operation Sidekick has said that Tripps wife wants to talk with me, but wouldnt say about what. Ill let you know what I find out, but ai have a sinking suspiscion its to ce to her husbands defense.
Did you ever find anything out from the wife. By his go fund me account he said he was leaving for Iraq by now. Did he go or was that bullshit to. He still has charges pending in Charlotte for fraud also.
