Wednesday morning feel good stories
Bobo and Amy send us a link from Houston, Texas where astor Benny Holmes encountered and intruder in his church at 6AM so he shot Lee Marvin Blue in the shoulder.
Chief Tango sends us some more links, the first it from Steelton, Pennsylvania, two fellows were interrupted in the act of turning their lives around by the couple who lived there. They tied up the rude pair, but not well enough. The man broke free and shot one fellow several times and the other escaped. But the perforated man was DRT.
In Greenville, South Carolina, three enterprising youths are cooling their heels in the hoosegow after a firefight with a homeowner in which no one was injured.
In Morgan County, Tennessee, two folks trying to turn their lives around forgot the first rule of home invasion; old people can’t fight, so we just shoot. They tried to rob the house of an armed 79-year-old. The result of that enterprise was that both are in critical condition in the hospital while the police make long term arrangements for them when they recover.

AAh yes, good citizens keeping what is theirs. Good reading in the morning.
Only problem with the old folks, the eyesight isn’t what it used to be to “hit the mark” lol
That first one – the preacher with the gun: I just had that moment in the opening scenes of ‘Thunderbolt and Lightfoot’. That takes me back.
In regard to us old folks, we don’t just shoot. We also use sarcasm and cooking spray.
Did the good Padre say “praise the Lord and pass the ammo”?
What? Too soon?
That rates a gigglesnort.
So many people turning their lives around, so little ammo!! Just kidding. Ammo is plentiful.
I wouldn’t wish a DRT or DOT on the good padre. Doesn’t fit well with his job description, and might interfere with the performance of his duties. Otherwise, good job, padre, good job.
The TN story: I’m believing more and more in One More Shot (OMS) to solve many problems. Instead of having a bunch’a yutes cooling their heels in hospitals and jails, soaking up too much of the taxpayers scarce dollars; for the low, low cost of One More Shot, judiciously applied, those same yutes would be in the morgue instead. Instead of tsk’ing over the po-po making arrangements for room and board in The GrayBar Hotel, we’d be cheering about DRT or DOT.
One More Shot (OMS). Good for what ails society.
Rule #2, double tap – always pay the insurance by spending another round to be sure
Lee Marvin Blue??? I suspect the actor (a Marine who was rumored at one point to have been the sole survivor of a patrol ambush in WWII) would roll over in his grave. Or, being an actor, would that be role over?
You gotta be careful of how you administer that OMS. We had a guy hereabouts that took the OMS while the perps were laying flat on the floor. The bullets that killed them were found in the floor of the basement. It seems the homeowner marched the wounded burglars down into the basement, made them lie down, and then shot them through their heads. Charged and convicted of murder, he is doing life in prison. If you think you need OMS, take it while they are still standing.
Absolutely, he deserved prison. You don’t march them to their deaths. He had them under control and just had to call 911.
ROLMSS. I know this isn’t the OPEN THREAD BUT THE JOYFUL NEWS WE JUST GOT JUST CAN’T WAIT. My son as a 1 3 3/4 lb preemie born years ago, became blind in his right eye when the mask wasn’t covering his eye completely. After years of testing, he can get a CORNEA TRANSPLANT AND SEE because his not 100% blind. We both grabbed his doctor and as were hugging all hit the floor laughing. Now we wait for a date. He said mom, I wonder if shooting will be different? You’ve been shooting with one and your excellent and now you can join the MILITARY! After his surgery and they remove the bandage, either way IM POPPING OPEN A BOTTLE OF DOM AND have my first drink. Blessings from Buddha for success. Reb is happy ?
