Wednesday morning feel good stories
Amy sends us a link to our first story which happened in Texas;
The store’s owner tells KHOU 11 News that employees were about to close up for the night when four young men came into the store and tried to rob it. That’s when he says his employee pulled out a gun and shot one of them twice in the chest and stomach.
The suspect stumbled, fell and died at the scene. The other three fled and got away.
Customers were in the store at the time, but there were no injuries reported.
According to the video report, the injured criminal stumbled out his getaway vehicle and it left him behind. Nice friends you have there, pal.
Chief Tango sends one from Wisconsin;
Police say a homeowner shot and wounded an intruder early Monday morning.
The intruder was shot in the hip, according to a relative who asked not to be publicly identified. The relative said the homeowner is a Navy veteran with a concealed carry permit. That man’s wife and four children were inside the house when a burglar alarm went off in the garage.
“Her husband went back there to check to see what happened,” the relative told TODAY’S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray. “There was guy in there. [The intruder] lunged at him. He didn’t know if he had a gun or what. He did end up shooting the guy.”
The intruder was hospitalized and will remain in police custody after his medical treatment is complete. Police say the 45-year-old man is a convicted felon with previous convictions for burglary in 2000 and 2010. His record includes other crimes dating back to 1994.
Another criminal career brought to an untimely end, at least temporarily. Of course, he ignored the signs warning of an alarm and dogs, so, my guess is that he’ll be back at it as soon as he can fit it into his schedule.

#1 – Good shootin’, Tex. No further range time needed. You are a GO at this station.
“And the world is a more peaceful place, beginning, now.
#2 – Shot in the hip? That’ll put a limp in his gimp. Permanently.
…and the world is a little bit safer now.
Ignored the posted signs, eh? Well, that’s one way to cut a career short.
The 2nd Amendment used appropriately.
Aptly titled, “feel good stories” – it’s nice to see that none of the good guys were hurt.
I notice that a lot of these reports state “and the homeowner had a concealed weapons permit”, or words to that effect.
When I put a bad guy down, in my own house, does that part of the story matter?Unless one is out in public, a CCW permit isn’t required anywhere is it?
BTW, good shooting folks.
CCW doesn’t legally matter but you know that all of those CCW-licensed guys are just out looking for someone to shoot. AND they had the political incorrectness to legally acquire a firearm, get certified and train themselves. These are seriously dangerous people and that calls into question whether the intruder was really attacking the homeowner or just wandering by when suddenly this manic CCW-holder leaped out of the bushes and shot our guy (rustle rustle). Ya’ know those official police reports are written by cops and they cannot be trusted – just look at New York, Baltimore and Ferguson.

Maybe I’m getting cynical about the main-stream media.
