Gregory Allen; phony Marine update
Dan Noyes updates his reportage on Gregory Allen, the fellow who pretended that he was a Marine Corps hero of the Vietnam War with his eight months of Navy service. Apparently, the lies didn’t stop with his phony medals and his pretend service;
Not only has Allen removed the workout equipment, he has taken down most of the Marine memorabilia at the gym including the flags, the parking sign, and a banner of four young men who died in service.
Allen included them on his Facebook page — four graduates of the House of Steel KIA — killed in action. But that’s not true. He now admits to me he trained only one of the Marines. Allen posed in front of his casket wearing those phony medals.
Marine Sergeant James Brown rode with the Patriot Guard that day for the young man’s funeral.
“And to see someone standing guard over him like that who is a complete imposter, a complete poseur, I found it just disgusting,” he said.
Brown has been funneling information to the FBI for its investigation into possible fraud committed by Allen. And the VA is also checking if Allen received benefits he did not deserve after I snapped a shot of his VA card with Marine insignia.

It’s good to know that the VA will now look into whether this shitbag has been stealing from us. I guess they are caught up on their stripper/prostitute/porn quota temporarily. Maybe Dan Noyes could turn the lens on the VA…
I believe the VA is unfixable. Because the gubmint does not have the testicular fortitude to get rid of the shitbags in charge, purge the benefits system of posers and fakes and hire decent people who will take care of real veterans with the dignity and respect they deserve.

It’s all I can say. The scam this guy pulled it pretty deep. It’s sad because the one thing this does is put the suspicsion on all of us.
I am also amazed that Vet organzations don’t background thier members. I joined the Legion and all done. No discharge needed. Sometimes we do it to ourselves.
I’d really hate to see national ID cards for Vets, or some sort of proof we carry but….damn if it ain’t coming to that.
Don’t hold your breath, S&L. We can’t even require photo IDs to vote in Federal elections, much less documentary proof of eligibility (e.g., citizenship). And that’s maybe a tad more important.
One of our readers got an email response from the MOAA explaining that they don’t ask their members to prove their service – I guess now we know why he chose to join the MOAA.
he managed to get a VA Medical Identification Card. Which means he presented the VA with convincing documents that he was indeed a Veteran, and some level of diasability was granted to him (or he was given the card based on a MEANS test finding him elligible for care as a Veteran).
Which is why I do not have any faith in the veracity of anyones claims based on them obtaining a Disability from the VA or having an ID. It is quite obvious that the VA Elligibility System needs examining.
