Thursday morning feel good stories

| March 12, 2015

I guess it’s “Good Gals with Guns Thursday”. Our first story this morning comes from South Carolina;

Saturday, March 7, at around 9 a.m., the victim told police the suspect approached her as she was withdrawing money from an ATM on Socastee Boulevard.

The victim said the man demanded money and threatened to inject her with a needle he was carrying. Police often hear reports of ATM robberies, but not the latter.

“They’re contaminated, they’re dirty, needles,” said Lt. Raul Denis, of the Horry County Police Department. “But it’s not a common occurrence to be threatened with a needle.”

The victim, who happens to have a concealed weapons permit, drew her weapon on the robber and watched as he ran off, police said.

“The victim stated once the suspect pulled the needle out, she pulled out her handgun and stuck it in the suspect’s face. The victim advised the suspect, ‘I dare you to stab me,'” the report states.

Although the victim didn’t shoot the gun, she could’ve been covered under the Castle Doctrine, which expanded in the past five years to include areas beyond the home. 15th Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said.

From another link, the perp was actually insulted by the threat;

The suspect said “Are you seriously going do that to me,” and ran off, the report said.

Our last stop is in Michigan, where another woman was forced to defend her family;

Police say a woman came home and saw three people inside her home. She was able to shoot one of the people in the shoulder.

The other two suspects ran off. Police are still searching for them.

Police have called in K-9 units from Grosse Pointe Farms and Wayne State to assist.

Relatives of the victims tell 7 Action News that the homeowner is okay. However, they say that this is the fourth time her home has been broken into.

The media has been telling us over the past few months that more and more women are arming themselves, and it appears that they have a good reason to do so. All of our best to these two brave ladies and our wish for continued good health.

The first news video just reeks of media bias and nanny statism.
“Did she have the right to defend herself?”
“Mommy may I have a license?”
(a pistol shot – WTF was up with that? Didn’t have anything to do with the news. Just stuck in there for gratuitous fear mongering, I guess)
“Yes, we reluctantly admit she had the right to defend herself outside her own home.”

Excuse my rant. These things tend to piss me off. One of those “silent dog whistle super seekrit encoded messages” things.

BUt EXCELLENT on the ladies for stepping up and defending themselves. Especially in Detroitlet. BRAVO!!

Thunderstixx

Absolutely, women are stepping up to the plate to prove that they are NOT going to be victims anymore.
Stupid libs, like lardass, think that we don’t have that right and that they are the final arbiters of decisions regarding whether or not someone gets to defend themselves.
This is exactly the opposite of the crap that libs are spewing on a daily basis with microaggressions etc.
Well, this mega aggression shit will stop when we cram this right down their fucking throats.

A not-so-feel-good story: Looks like two cops were shot in Ferguson, MO last night.

Weekend Warror in Texas

It is good that the woman in SC did not have to shoot the asshole, but “I” would not have told anybody that I dared him to stick me with the needle. In Texas, one is not allowed to threaten deadly force. At least that is what the law was when I took the class 16 years ago. (I do not hold a Texas CCW permit, and have not taken the renewal classes)She did good though, as did the lady in Detroit. More range time, but I know how it is getting to a range when working for a living and living in a city.

It always amazes me. The false notion that there is “honor among thieves”. Three break in, one shot in shoulder, (Range Time) and the other two, beat feet at mack 2. I have no doubt they have done this before and the pregame plan always sounded like, “Okay if anything goes sideways, we cover each other. We stick together brothers, right on! Y’all wit me?” “Yea bro we wit you all da way”. Until, someone gets shot, then, “Sorry bro, you on yo on now! See you back at this crib when you get out”
