SPLC inspiring haters
TSO sends us a link to Newsbusters where Kristine Marsh writes that Craig Hicks, the fellow who murdered three innocent Muslim students in Chapel Hill, NC over a parking dispute this last week was inspired by the Southern Poverty Law Center along with other liberal activists;
Hicks isn’t the first SPLC fan to turn violent. In 2012, the group’s “Hate Map,” which lists the addresses of various groups SPLC claims are right-wing extremists, inspired a gunman to enter the Family Research Council in 2012 and attempt to kill everyone in the building.
The media’s continued use of the SPLC as a legitimate and ethical source of information is just plain irresponsible. Besides the Family Research Council shooting, incidents of death threats against conservative organizations and Christian pastors have cropped up because of the group’s much cited “hate map.”
The SPLC’s Mark Potok is the media’s go-to guy when they want to call the troops potential terrorists and racists, but why isn’t the media asking SPLC about the hate they generate themselves?

Agreed, til then we have to make do with that.
Ah the SPLC. I think I made a life goal to be listed by them as a hate group since they label anybody that does not want to float with their garbage definition of the world.
It is a work in progress.
@ PRIVATE PARTS, Et Alii:
Me, too, but thus far, with no success.
In my attempts to be on their list, I even e-mailed them, but never received any acknowledgement or response.
I remember of scandals (mostly concerning former head Morris Dees) and the leftie/pro-gay/anti-white agendas of this group over the years. I remember reading a great expose’ of them somewhere
The info they disseminate is grossly exaggerated garbage, and only helps to keep this country divided and the various races and religions distrusting of one another.
Forgot to add: But I guess it beats actually working for a living.
That is a good question Jonn. Any group or individual with remote connections to this should have spoken up at once. I dislike the Muslim religion more than any other belief system. Remaining mute on the issue is an act of cowardice as far as I am concerned.
I do not condone the killing of anyone just becuase of their beliefs, I defend those that have beliefs I strongly disagree with. They have every right to express them. When their actions threaten anyone, we all need to stand up and be heard.
I stand against most of the groups the SPLC lists as hate groups. There are very few exceptions. As soon as this connection was made to the crime in any way, they should have spoken out in the strongest manner possible.
Yep. Lots of media press about this turd owning guns (therefore by extension being a TEA party conservative – – or something), but nothing about his atheism/ anti-theism (a Libtard trait), and his worship of Rachael MadCow (again, Libtardism).
The SPLC when it is boiled down is nothing more than a couple guys with a fax machine and a MSM following.
The SPLC is a hate group. It identifies and lists targets on its site and those targets earned their places by espousing a view of social and other issues that do not merit the SPLC stamp of approval. Dt. Ben Carson’s name was placed on the list back in October. His offense? Saying that marriage is and ought to be reserved for one man and one woman. The SPLC appeals to haters and, I believe, effectively invites leftist criminals to visit vengeance upon those the SPLC lists. It provides a ready-made hit list.
Gee, another ever-so-tolerant liberal responsible? You’d think they’d stop trying to blame conservatives/TEA Party types immediately after each of these incidents.
Then again, they only have to be right once to have a sense of vindication. Don’t worry about those other thousand times we were dead wrong, people!
They just apologized to Ben Carson for being haters but who the hell is going to believe it? I hate these people.
The feds are now investigating the “hate” crime and the sister of the deceased is blaming American Sniper and her assembly for some tweet and says it’s open season on Muslims…WTF. Can someone just tell her the dude snapped and evil exists? UFB. They want someone or something to blame and they have it, but it won’t be enough. Claire Fallon’s famous words resound…Fu*k. me. dead.
Info about the SPLC that the mainstream media has never wanted to acknowledge:

Ummmm. . . . Under the SPLC’s own twisted “logic”, shouldn’t they list themselves as a “hate group”? Makes more sense to me than anything else they’ve done lately.
But then again, by LLL (Leftist Libtard “Logic”), and the complicity of the LSDM (Lame Stream Dinosaur Media), I ain’t holding my breath waiting for THAT little miracle to happen.
So, basically, full-blown malignant hatred is okay, but being a reasonsble, decent human being with personal opinions is not. So they hate those people, because those people can think for themselves.
Got it.
How do you get on their ‘hate you, bitch’ list?
You got me interested Ma’am, now I HAVE TO TRY and see if I can make their “Hate List”…
I BELIEVE in the right of one to worship as they please without being censored.
I BELIEVE in the Bill of Rights.
I BELIEVE that Marriage is a Sacred Covenant between a Man, a Woman, and God.
I BELIEVE that less Government is good Government.
I BELIEVE that the Veterans deserve a MUCH higher priority than illegal aliens and criminals when it comes to healthcare and other benefits.
I BELIEVE that law-abiding people have a God-given RIGHT to defend themselves, their families, and homes when threatened.
That’s all I have time for now, I hope that gets me on their list!
Amen. Standing with you!
