Tuesday morning feel good story
Dave sends us this story of a self-correcting problem in Houston;
Deputies said an employee and a manager were working when two robbers walked into the store on the corner of FM 1960 West and Ella Boulevard.
One of the robbers led the manager to the back of the store to get cash. Somehow, the gun fired. Deputies said it was unclear if the robber was aiming at the manager or if there was a struggle.
The bullet ended up hitting the thief in the hand. The robbers escaped from the store but managed to get away with some cash.
No one else was injured.

H’mmmm, he got away with some cash. I wonder if cash was his primary target. Demonstrated by the ineptitude, I wonder if he also was wanting a couple of dozen catheters. Enroute from Oregon to his new home in Florida, got to Houston, and felt that if he could only pull this off, he wouldn’t have to keep using those contaminated catheters, 6 to 8 times a day.

The scuffle started when an old ate up poser insisted on getting an Honorary CPO discount on his purchase. The store manager would have none of that.

When are these robbers going to learn that if you always hold your pistol sideways, it’s impossible to shoot yourself in the hand. Come on guys, get with the program.

Maybe if the robber waved a DD214 instead of a gun they might have willingly gave him money, or is that just someplace in NC?
re: shot himself in the hand — I was taught, think of this pistol as a “ray gun”, anywhere you point it will be destroyed. I still have all my fingers and the only AD I had hit dirt. Indoors and around doors, carbines are a little different but not a LOT different.
