Sunday morning feel good story

| January 25, 2015

Today’s feel good story comes from Ohio where 44-year-old William D. Hedrick escaped from the hospital after he was arrested for his previous encounter with an armed homeowner;

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless, at around 3 p.m. Thursday, they received a call in which they were advised that a homeowner had arrived home to find a subject had broken into their home. The homeowner witnessed the male subject hiding outside the home and he fled on foot.

Lawless said the homeowner’s family and neighbors chased the subject and fired a handgun striking the alleged burglar in the abdomen. The man, identified as Hedrick, was apprehended. The family and neighbors held Hedrick at gunpoint until Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene.

Hedrick was, according to deputies, found to have jewelry and other items stolen during the burglary, in his possession. The items were recovered and collected.

So, it looks like his girlfriend helped him escape. She’ll have a good time in jail when they catch up with the duo eventually.

He can enjoy his freedom as infection sets in at the wound site, and where he pulled the IV out. I like that the neighbors put an identifying mark on him before the arrest.

Classic name for a sheriff.

It looks like that goblin is a fine example of what aformer CO of mine would refer to as “STUPIDICIDAL”.

The Sheriffs last name is Lawless. Awesome.

Classic example of how firearms laws vary state to state – board daylight, guy’s running away hence posing no threat, probably off the homeowners property by that time – in a lot of places the homeowner would be sweating whether he was about to be charged. Sad but true.
