Saturday morning feel good stories

| January 17, 2015

The first story this morning comes from Illinois;

According to Sgt. Matt Jany, at 5:41 p.m., a homeowner told dispatchers someone was trying to break into his home at 9401 Torrens Lane just south of Lenzburg and that he had fired shots at the intruder.

When the first officers arrived shortly before 6 p.m., they found a person who had been shot to death.

Jany said the homeowner was not hurt but did not release any other details about the incident.

Then comes North Carolina;

[Tyraan McLean, 29] told investigators he and his 2-year-old son were lying on a bed when he hear a loud booming noise.

McLean got up, ran to the back door and found Emanuel in the room, Thompson said.

McLean, armed with a 9mm handgun, shot Emanuel multiple times, Thompson said.

McLean then called 911 and reported the shooting, telling them Emanuel had kicked in the door.

McLean then took his son to a neighbor’s home.

Thanks to Chief Tango for the links, as usual.
