Well, I did it

| January 2, 2015

We had planned it.  Weeks before we had talked about doing it. I was nervous during the drive up, wondering about what could happen. Things like this can change your life forever. That is, if you believe the things you read on the internet.

The first night I was tired. The next day we had talked about it but I got a stomach virus and spent most of the day trying to hold my insides, inside.

Then it happened, it was spontaneous, the way it should have been.  We just did it.  It was not disappointing but also it did not live up to the hype on the internet.

If anything I found it fun and amusing instead of scandalous. I am glad I did not have to pay full price and was happy that I had the option to pause things if I needed to.

I admit it. From a hidden compound, I downloaded and watched “The Interview.”

I can see why it pissed the North Koreans off so bad. I half expected there to be some sort of disclaimer from Sony, ‘Watch at your own risk,’ or ‘Watching this movie may cause acts of terrorism to fall upon you and your loved ones.’  I was wondering when the North Korean spies would burst through the door and shoot the TV. None of that happened. I was entertained and don’t regret watching the movie. It had some plot twists and kept me entertained and wondering what would happen next.

If you find yourself with a couple of hours to kill, have a warped sense of humor, and no kids under foot, it’s worth the $5.99. Plus you can drink the beverage of your choice and pause it when the phone rings or nature calls.

I am a closet Seth Rogen fan. I find him funny and wrong.  He is kind of like that friend you have had forever that you know is going to say or do the wrong thing. You know, the one you hang out with because deep down you see in him a part of yourself.

I give it 3 out of 5 bullets for artistic merit

5 out of 5 for topic

4 out of 5 for being funny.

Congrats on being manipulated so well. You just watched a movie you wouldn’t have an are now advertising it free of charge. You’re a movie studio’s wet dream come true.

Glad you had a good time.

FatCircles,
What part of him being a “closet Seth Rogen fan” didn’t you understand. I’m guessing her probally would have seen it. But hey, keeping being smarter than everyone else and sticking it to the “Man”. ha ha ha

Thunderstixx

I’m 6′ 235 lbs…
They used to call me “portly”…
Now they just call me “fat”
Bring back “portly” !!!

Sparks

Thunderstixx…6 feet and at one time 275, down to 245 and headed down more after surgery. I once told my doctor the old, “hey, I got big bones!” To which he replied, “Bullshit…dinosaurs have big bones, you’re just fat Mr. Sparks! Now start doing something about it.” Gotta love a doc that lays it on the line I guess.

It made me laugh too. Some people may not like that particular type of humor, but to each their own. I also liked James Franco, good to see him play something funny after the seeing the Gator Bodine and Harry Osborn characters.

B Woodman

Maybe if paying a flat NetFlix rate, instead of movie theater ticket rates.

Wonder if the common folk in DPRK will enjoy it:

“Activist Park Sang-hak said he will start dropping 100,000 DVDs and USBs with the movie by balloon in North Korea as early as late January. Park, a North Korean defector, said he’s partnering with the U.S.-based non-profit Human Rights Foundation, which is financing the making of the DVDs and USB memory sticks of the movie with Korean subtitles.”

The Other Whitey

That’s a good cause. Too bad only 18 people in the whole country have ever seen a device capable of playing said media.

RunPatRun

I immediately had the same thought, especially regarding the thumb drives. However, it looks like small DVD players are available. The propaganda is strong though, who knows if any good will come of it.

Hack Stone

The plan may work if they send copies on Betamax.

I like Seth Rogen. He is sometimes quite funny, sometimes misses the mark, but he doesn’t just yet have quite the stuff that I found in the late Sid Caesar, Robin Williams, Bill Murray, Laurel & Hardy. He’s getting there. Give him time.

In regard to this movie, I’ll wait until it’s in the $5 bin at Walmart and add it to my extensive library.

I admit as well that I was suckered in to watching that movie. I however believe in the tried and true method of try before you buy.

It’s my pirate side, been there since tandy 1000s. Yar.

Anyways….too much swearing for me to watch for long, it got old to me quick, so I never finished it.

If it losses off North Korea, all the better. Besides, let them attack us electronically, we will just shut down the 1 router they have to the outside world again. LOL. Stupid Dictator.

Green Thumb

I won’t waste my time watching that dumb ass movie.

FourteenSierra

dang guys…my e-penis is WAY bigger than all y’alls. 🙂

Congrats on being manipulated into calling folks who watch the movie ‘manipulated’ 🙂

OWB

Who?

But, glad you enjoyed it, E4U.

The Other Whitey

Even if it sucks, I’ll see it, and then buy the DVD and related merch just because it pisses off NDtBF.

“I can see why it pissed the North Koreans off so bad.” You mean other than the fact they’re completely out of their fuggin’ minds right?

2/17 Air Cav

I would go see it in the theater but, as it happens, I would have to sit there among people. So, as always, or nearly so, I’ll await the DVD release.

Redacted1775

It’s on demand for much cheaper. Also xbox live and a few others.
