LTC Margaret DeSanti; phony Army nurse
Our buddy, Doug Sterner, sent us links to a couple of articles, the first one in 2002 at a Rakkasan meeting (the 187th Infantry Regiment) where this retired Army nurse, Margaret DeSanti, injected herself into an interview with the Kentucky New Era . At the time she was calling herself a “retired Captain”;
That brings us to the present day, I guess she got promoted in her retirement to Lieutenant Colonel and, she’s wearing a Silver Star Medal – which triggered our interest in her. See, Leigh Ann Hester is the first woman since World War Two to earn a Silver Star. But that’s just actual history, not history according to Margaret DeSanti;
LTC, Margaret DeSanti, USA Retired, served in the United States Army Nurse Corps for 30 years. She was deployed in the Vietnam era during the Tet Offensive in Saigon, Pleiku, and China Beach from 1968-1970. She was one of 50 flight nurses attached to the 1st Cavalry helicopters who repelled on dust offs and was deployed to forward positions. She also served during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm for one year. For her service to our Country, she achieved a Meritorious Unit Citation, a Vietnam Presidential Citation, a Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, a Silver Star, a Soldiers Medal, a Meritorious Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, an Army Achievement Medal, an Army Reserve Component, a National Service Defense Medal, a Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Kuwait Liberation medal, an Army Airborne Wings, and Chief Combat Flight Nurse Wings. U.S. Senator John McCain presented LTC DeSanti a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Maricopa Association of Combat Veterans. She is honored to have an Arizona State University nursing scholarship in her name.
But, not according to the National Personnel Records Center;
The “limited information” that we provided was her social security number. But she was the keynote speaker at this high school’s Veterans’ Day celebration. And, yeah, I can’t find a scholarship that is named for her at ASU, either. I did find one at Maricopa Community College which is the same as ASU, right?
Actually, her promotion during her retirement and the Silver Star was enough for me. So, go ahead, call me names for beating up on an old woman.
Category: Phony soldiers
Fuck her too……just not with my dick…or yours…..or anyone else here. Maybe she can use Psuls.
Perhaps one belonging to a certain PuRpLe-JuMpSuIt WeArInG jErK would be available. Given his attitude, looks, and level of intellect he probably hasn’t had the chance to use it in a decade or two anyway.
The Warrant for her LTC. promotion is in Visconi’s mom’s flooded basement somewhere. You will recognize it by the Edwardian Script.
That or “Blobfish” Chevalier is “investigayshoning” fer it someplace in between jellied doughnuts!!
Perhaps the “dustbuster” would be in order before you did the dirty, just to make sure no cobwebs are hiding out in “hidden” bunkers.
I’m waiting for the not ever a CPO Bernath to show up as her Lawyer.
Not to beat a dead horse’s ass, but you’d think that she’d be aware of things like the internet’s ability to keep stuff available like FOREVER.
What were the names of her daughter and her two nieces? Where were they located during the 9/11/01 attacks? If on any of the flights, which ones?
I have serious doubts about this moocow’s stories. Serious doubts. Does she think people will not look up the names of victims of 9/11/01 to verify her story?
That 9/11 claim is super offensive. I had a relative killed in the Pentagon. And you can look him up all day long. For her to have a claim like that is just disturbing as to the type of person she is.
Captain(NAVY) Ret. Jack D. Punches
I only met him a couple times but I do remember 2 things about him. He was a Tomcat (F-14) pilot and he had lost his ring finger in a water ski-ing accident.
“To repel is (1) to ward off or drive back, (2) to cause aversion or distaste, or (3) to present an opposing force. To rappel is to descend a vertical surface, especially a cliff face, by sliding down a rope with a device that provides friction. ”
Another stellar work of journalism.
For the record, I was the one who scribed her speach and when we got to that point, I specifically asked her which one she meant. I was the rappelling CDR. for my ROTC unit, so I know the difference. She told me which one she meant, so I recorded it as clarified. At the time I had no reason to believe she was a phoney. The only thing I don’t understand is, why would someone who did so much, try to further their already amazing achievements, by claiming any kind of false valor? So many people looked up to her. Finding all this out honestly floored me because I did so much to try to help her. Never again…
Um, she had no amazing achievements. She never served at all.
Don’t forget her claim to be a ‘Chief Combat Flight Nurse’. I know it’s wikipedia, but they don’t list a combat award or a chief rating for the award…never mind the Army stopped using it after 1947.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_Nurse_Badge
Gee. In 2010, she was listed here as “Capt. Margaret Desanti, USA (Ret)”.
http://www.antonnews.com/hicksvilleillustratednews/calendar/7413-thehicksvilleillustratednewscom-calendar.html
Must have done something really special to have been promoted two grades on the retired list in just over 4 years. (Yes, that’s sarcasm.)
Hey, she got a NDSM and a Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. They don’t just hand those out like candy.
You can buy any medal you want from Medals of America.
Not quite. There is one exception.
C U Next Tuesday is all I can say !
Okay, now I’m well and truly pissed off.
7,484 women (6,250 or 83.5% were nurses) served in Vietnam.
If this is a WAC who didn’t make it past 2 years and out, I will not be surprised.
Never mind the 7484 women–
the 15th Medical Battalion of the 1st Cavalry Division had an air ambulance platoon organic to it, with only 12 MEDEVAC aircraft assigned to it. So her story places 4 nurses per aircraft. Where the heck would they put the damn patients?
http://history.amedd.army.mil/booksdocs/vietnam/dustoff/chapter3.html
(As an aside, they were the only MEDEVAC unit that did not use the callsign “Dustoff” during the war)
At peak strength, there were only 900 nurses in Vietnam at any given time.
http://history.amedd.army.mil/booksdocs/vietnam/medicalsupport/chapter12.html
So that’s an awful lot of nurses, out of the total number available at any time in country, to be assigned to one tiny unit.
Don’t these schools have history programs which could check out her facts before letting her open her mouth? Never mind . . .
Too bad she moved from Long Island and is now in AZ, since I don’t live far from her prior location. The school board article in AZ noted that this phony worked as a “traffic control officer for New York’s 5th Precinct”…..that would actually be Suffolk County PD (a very good police agency) on Eastern LI. It’s more likely that she served as a school crossing guard, which is generally a p/t position.
I searched online the largest LI newspaper (a liberal rag!) “Newsday” and found no information at all while doing a name search.
Would have just loved to buy this “lady” a cup of coffee while we compared notes about our respective “Tet Offensive” experiences.
Where at in AZ? I’m stationed at Huachuca.
@SFC Raikkonen
I did a google search and found this.
http://azednews.com/2014/11/06/7th-annual-veterans-day-celebration-at-higley-high-school-on-friday-nov-7/
Look where she is saluting from. She has her hand by her glasses and not the rim of her hat. It has been awhile since I served so I looked it up to be sure I remembered correctly how to salute. http://cl-144.org/7.html
I’m up in Benson. Next time I’m up in the Phoenix area helping a DAV guy I know out I’m gonna make some inquiries.
I’m right down the road from you! Hit me up and I’ll buy you a beer.
Here’s my personal Email. Not putting the AKO (enterprise) one on a public forum.

Phildo’s mom.
Phildo’s mom and sis simultaneously.
YUP!
Posers gonna pose.
And deserve to be called out as such irregardless of gender, age, or other status.
Three ways: Long, Loud, and Often.
A senior citizen female poser. That ain’t Christmas.
I sent an email to the top 3 leadership of MACV with a link to this page. Hopefully they will rescind any awards and get the word out to the Maricopa County School system that she is a fraud.
Maybe coming from an actual combat veteran the accusations will hold some weight.
OEF 10-11
Well, I hope that they rescind the Lifetime Achievement Award they presented this broad and keep the Veteran’s Scholarship but name it after a true heroine, not this faker.
Maybe Col. (now Congresswoman elect) Martha McSally?
I think that’s more fitting. She is a true hero in my eyes. She flew some pretty hairy combat missions in the A-10. She definitely got my vote on the ballot card this year.
Fuck that cunt right in her dried up pussy.
Wow.
Come on now Pat,
I think that you’ve been touched by the Christmas Spirit and you’re sugar coating it…..you’re holding back.
Tell us how you *REALLY* feel.
😀
@ChipNASA
You’re so much better with words than I. 😉
I seen this the other day. Embellisher, probably. Someting hinky about no records. Probably under Donnelly I would suspect. I will be very shocked in this case if there is not prior service at all.
That being said, it wouldnt be the first time I was shocked. Semper Fi.
I may have to agree with you on this one; there may indeed be something hinky on this one; she sounds more like an embellisher than an out-and-out poser with no prior service…
Except the information sent in was her Social Security number. I think she is a whole cloth bullshitter.
While growing up, one of my friends was the son of this lady:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_Wandrey
Her book is interesting and you might say that she was opinionated. We were all frightened of her.
Regarding Margaret DeSanti, June Mann would have torn her up and eaten the pieces.
Hmmm….. Army nurse, first name Margaret, I’ve got it! It’s Hot Lips DeSanti!
I wonder if this discovery came about as a result of my comment about LTC Margaret DeSanti here:
http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=56953
I can only hope….
Revisit your comment and the one underneath it. It doesn’t look like it went down that way.
Hmm…I guess reading really is “fun-da-mental”
belay my last….
She’s wearing an Army Good Conduct Medal as her third highest award… seems legit for a LTC.
She couldn’t possibly be lying about three brothers in the 187th and a daughter and two nieces killed in the WTC on 9/11?
At least she’s got an AAM right next to her GCM. Army officers are well known for those two awards. NOT!!!
Finally, the old waynch didn’t go to jump school & her salute is too fucked up for anyone that has ever served.
Does she claim Prior Enlisted Service Time? According to one source,
“Good Conduct Medal is awarded on a selective basis to a soldier whom while in active Federal Military duty set himself/herself apart from his/her comrades by exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity throughout a set time of uninterrupted ENLISTED active Federal military service.”
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/armymedals/ss/gcm_3.htm
Could she be lying about her GCM as well? Gee whiz! And yeah, the AAM is a classy touch as well!
Maybe she’ll claim to have earned the CGM while serving as a Navy CPO?
Good conduct medals are for enlisted only. I wear three as an Officer.. but I was enlisted for 10 years. It is very uncommon to see an Officer wearing one
Lew Millett wore his GCM while serving as an instructor at CG&S…and nothing else for a period of time. He was pissed at the big wigs who wouldn’t let students (mainly aviators) wear their rightly earned badges. My “buddy” took off his CIB, Sr. Prchts, etc including his SS and other medals and just wore his SR Aviator Wings. He didn’t remove his Ranger Tab as it was sewn on! Millett was a trip… and HATED CG&S!
ArmyMedical: an officer with a GCM wasn’t particularly uncommon during Vietnam. Many officers of that era got their commission via OCS and had prior enlisted service. I knew a few growing up.
However, I don’t know how common that would have been for the ANC during Vietnam. My guess is it would not have been very common at all due to the education required and the much lower number of females serving as enlisted in the military, percentage-wise, during that era. But I could be wrong.
I’d guess the number wasn’t zero, though. One of the prior-service officers I knew growing up was a male MSC Captain who’d served in Vietnam as an enlisted soldier, gone to OCS, and continued his career as an officer. He got caught up in one of the late 1970s RIFs, but was able to finish his last 2-3 years as an E7 and retire. He also had enough time as an officer to retire as an officer (I seem to remember that 6 years was required then to do so; I believe it’s since gone up to 8).
Did anyone ever do an FOIA on her?
My point above was that an LTC with 30 years service would have more than two awards superior to a Good Conduct, especially when one of those is a Silver Star. But wait, the AAM does have precedence over the AGC, it’s just not mounted properly.
If I were a betting man, I would say her AGC and AAM are legit, but not her Silver Star, MSM, nor her claimed rank.
I read above that she “repelled” on dust-off missions? First off, the spelling of that word doesn’t fit but beyond that.
Forgetting any stolen valor claims or accusations, did army nurses actually do that back in Vietnam? I just can’t see that.
Andy Kravetz, reporter
Peoria (Ill.) Journal Star
Andy, I would think that would be the duty of Air Force PJ’s…..not nurses
that’s what I thought. Thanks. Being a non-military person, that is what stuck out to me. Regardless of medals claimed, what she claimed to do didn’t even make sense to me.
Andy,
Without putting too fine a point on it, the reason they were probably called “dust-offs” is because the downdraft of a landing Huey tended to blow dirt all over the place. An alternate name was “medevac” but that term also described the complete wounded transport chain that might extend all the way back to The World.
When I was attached to the 173rd Airborne in ’71, the brigade headquarters was at LZ English near the village of Bong Son, but the hospital for the unit was in the city of Qui Nhon, about 40 miles south. That was where the nurses were, and most of the doctors except for a few at battalion-level aid stations.
If you had wounded from close contact at the time, the usual drill was to pull them back to a clearing large enough to put a bird down, and pop smoke. In the rare times when there was no clear space nearby, the grunts carried C-4 charges and det cord that could be used to bring trees down. A good pilot could squeeze into a space only a bit larger than a two-car garage.
The thing that rankles about Margaret DeSanti, and her apparently dingbat story, is that not once when I was in country did I ever hear anybody bad mouth the doctors and nurses, because it was understood you might need to depend on them if a time came when you had, say, a sucking chest wound. Plus, they tended to be nice people with a truly soul-sucking job.
Why DeSanti would feel the need to falsely embellish something that already had a high level of respect is a mystery.
Andy, the acronym DUSTOFF was also attributed to the 57th Medical Detachment(Air Ambulance) and stands for Dedicated Unhesitating Service To Our Fighting Forces.
The intent of Dust-off or even a not during an active combat engagement with the enemy medevac is to get the injured onto or in the aircraft.
A rappel provides a descent only exit from a hovering helicopter. It gives no means to get injured into or on the aircraft.
Furthermore the rope and other equipment to do the rappel would have to be standard mission configuration equipment onboard the aircraft.
BTW did the Army have flight nurses during the SEA conflict? Does the Army currently have flight nurses?
Army flight nurses during SEA? – NO,never heard/seen of anything like that. Currently have Army flight nurses? – Again, don’t think so. I don’t believe the current MEDEVAC Blackhawks are set up for in-flight nursing, just emergency care by an aidman (person) while in route to an EVAC hospital. I have never heard of commissioned officer nurses being on DUSTOFF birds as regular crew members.
I have a family member, former (fairly recent) Blackhawk pilot, who says that there are no flight nurses on Blackhawks–just paramedics.
I’m not sure about this but I think the ONLY flight nurses were USAF, not Army. The Navy nurses were on the hospital ships off the coast of Vietnam.
Not surprisingly neither New York State or Arizona have any record of her being licensed as a Nurse either.
If she was in from 1968-1970, she’d have a serial number that starts with B52. (Ask me how I know.) And we girls aren’t that difficult to find.
IF she was actually an Army nurse (and I say IF because I have doubts), she’d know how to render a salute properly. Navy nurses knew how to do that, so why wouldn’t she? Take a hard looke at that limpwristed effort in the photo. Could she even get her elbow out of her pocket?
Do I have doubts about her? Yes. She might have been in DURING Vietnam but in-country as a nurse? I guess she thinks no one could check on this.
EX……..I saw that weak ass salute too. I paid it no never mind, I just thought it was the way you female types saluted in the military!
Smile
Not ready to defend this person, but many of us with some age on us have enough issues with arthritis and such that it could easily preclude rendering a proper salute. Of course, the easiest way to not look like a fool or an idiot is to not dress up in a uniform and pretend to salute someone.
(Put me on that list of those who will take a couple of post retirement bumps up in rank, but only if it increases the retirement pay.)
Not at all, AirCav. We were all taught how to salute properly and got the ‘Young lady, that is NOT how you hand salute!!!!’ thrown at us regularly.
I’m sure the WACs were taught the same thing, how to do it correctly.
Now I knew the 1st CAV did some crazy shit in Viet Nam, but “repelling flight nurses”. That’s a new one for me. Anyway, there’s no such animal as “Chief Combat Flight Nurse Wings” Never was, never will be. Now there is an Army Flight Surgeon Badge and Air Force and Navy Flight Nurse Badges, but no wings like that for the (flying?) Army Nurse Corps. If she wanted to claim to be a Senior or Master Flight Nurse(not Chief),it would taken a minimum of 7 to 15 years on flight status to achieve that. I can’t quite see what the winged badge is in the picture, but I bet it is a Senior Flight Surgeon Badge. Besides, where are all the Air Medals/Distinguished Flying Crosses she would have accumulated for all that flying? Nowhere to be seen. I call BS on this one.
I have researched this person, here is the LEGIT story:
She never rappelled from a helo.
She used a broom and her nickname was the “Wicked Nurse of the West”.
Just look at her photo above for undeniable verification of my story.
LEGIT!
MCPO……I concur with your assessment! Further, with a mug like hers, she most definitely could wake the dead!
Well, I don’t know about the rest of you but I find her repelling to the extreme.
She looks like her head caught on fire and it was beaten out with an UGLY CLUB®™!!
This Irish would say:
“She is as ugly as a bucket full of mortal sins.”
She’s SO UGLY she could make a dog turd scream and run away by looking at it!
Are we sure she’s not Navy? She looks like Ernie Borgnine in drag!
Nah, Navy nurses all looked like angels. Didn’t you know that?
Navy female nurses and PH’s … Smokin’ HOT!
And while I’m at it, do not knock ol’ Ernie Borgnine.
He spent 9 years in the Navy, 4 of them during WWII. He left the Navy as at Gunner’s Mate 1st Class (GM1), and received the REAL Honorary CPO designation from the Master Chief of the Navy. Something someone else just wishes he had.
And for what it’s worth, a Gunner’s Mate was the guy who maintained, loaded, and fired the Big Guns on US Navy Battleships, among other things. Those would be the 16-inch guns firing salvos in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsNlmiLJGIw&feature=player_detailpage
Have a nice Christmas, 317 AirCav.
EX……I love Ernie, McHales Navy. I esp. Liked him in Marty. Won a academy Award.
You too, have a great Xmas!
Ex, speaking of those big guns, my Father-in-law(RIP) was a GM(44-45) on the USS Idaho during WWII. And a Merry Christmas to you and yours.
3/17, we have to think back to 45 years ago,not present day. Given the length of time one had spent so far in Viet Nam, Donut Dollies,Round Eye Nurses,or any round eyed girls(PH2’s included) for that matter, they were all beautiful. They say you can’t live in the past, but when confronted with what the present looks like, I prefer to live in the past and remember what the girls looked like back then. Have a Merry Christmas ! !
Claw….one thing I know, in my eleven twelve days in the Nam I never saw a round eye! No WAC’s, no WAVES, no hottie EX-PH2. The only hottie round eye I ever saw was a private contractor type, but that’s a story for another time.
What I do know is this, Hot lips DeSanti was never a Hottie! She’s got a face that reminds me of Mr. Ed. Where’s Wilber when you need him!
Wilbur, not Wilber. Damn it
“She is as ugly as a bucket full of mortal sins.”
I dated her sister back in the 60’s.
Now that’s a mug you DON’T want to chug. OH YEAH!
After things settle down from the holidays around here, it might be fun to pass this long to an acquaintance who really did retire from the Army nurse corps as a LTC. There weren’t a whole bunch of them who made that kind of rank back in the day.
I think you should, especially since my niece was an Army surgical nurse stationed over in Baghdad.
Is she saluting or smacking herself in the face?
She’s hiding the armpit sweat stains on her jacket.
Dana Shuster (“Dusty”) was another Vietnam Nurse Fraud… was a fraud for decades before being outed. http://www.vva.org/veteran/1206/arts_of_war.html
Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone, In a one bedroom house made of plaster & stone. I had come down the chimney with presents to give And to see just who in this home did live. I looked all about a strange sight I did see, No tinsel, no presents, not even a tree. No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand, On the wall hung pictures of far distant lands. With medals and badges, awards of all kind A sober thought came through my mind. For this house was different, so dark and dreary, I knew I had found the home of a soldier, once I could see clearly. I heard stories about them, I had to see more So I walked down the hall and pushed open the door. And there he lay sleeping silent alone, Curled up on the floor in his one bedroom home. His face so gentle, his room in such disorder, Not how I pictured a United States soldier. Was this the hero of whom I’d just read? Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed? His head was clean shaven, his weathered face tan, I soon understood this was more than a man. For I realized the families that I saw that night Owed their lives to these men who were willing to fight. Soon ‘round the world, the children would play, And grownups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day. They all enjoyed freedom each month of the year, Because of soldiers like this one lying here. I couldn’t help wonder how many lay alone On a cold Christmas Eve in a land far from home. Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to my knees and started to cry. The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice, “Santa don’t cry, this life is my choice; I fight for freedom, I don’t ask for more, my life is my God, my country, my Corps.” With that he rolled over and drifted off into sleep, I couldn’t control it, I… Read more »
Don’t worry about the whole ‘beating up on an old woman’ thing. My paternal grandma would have shoved her cane up that poser’s…nose. Uh, yeah. That’s where she would have stuck it. The nose.
I’m an old lady, Semperidem. I’d join your granny in givng this one a set-down.
The dumbest part of this particular flavor of posing is
Nurse, medical field.
I don’t care if all you have is a NSDM and a campaign medal, The important bling to me is that Medical Caduceus branch insignia they wear.
If you were Medical over in Iraq, or any other campaign, I’ll give you my seat at the bar, table at the restaurant or place in line at the movie theater, I have a few freinds who are openeing up Christmas presents with their families right now who wouldn’t be if it wasn’t for the medical people who served in theater. You don’t need the bling impress me.
Saving the lives of those who got hit already puts you in the “godlike status” category of the heirarchy.
To all of you REAL medical corps people, Have a Merry Christmas and a great holiday. You don’t need shiny bits and pieces to proclaim how awesome you are, just sit back and think of all the US and Coalition troops who are with their families today because of you and what you did.
To this poor, miserable old lady, well, whatever gets you through the day.
Agreed.
Should anyone reading this think, “What’s it matter if an old lady is telling a few fibs?” – well, she’s lying about being involved in wartime MEDEVAC in Vietnam.
Read the links below if you want to see the kind of stuff real MEDEVAC pilots and crew did in Vietnam. Then tell me her lies don’t matter.
http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=32214
http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=32357
HONDO….As you know from previous posts from me, I flew during that time. In saying that, I don’t believe I could have done the MEDEVAC/DUSTOFF job. These people were the bravest, most dedicated people in the theatre! Huge Gonads.
Also thanks for the October article, I missed it then. Nice article from you!
Rambo nurse.
I wonder how we lost with such a war fighter.
Everything she says smells of rancid dog-shit.
I could imagine a real female vet would probably want to cunt-punt this lying old goat so hard that her grand daughters have miscarriages.
I noticed in the article linked from LI that she was one of the “first two New York Fire fighters.” Interesting. Must have been pushing an old hand pumper around the city…
While her daughter who was killed on 9/11 may have been married & changed her name & her nieces may have been from her sister… however, I’d like to point out that the 9/11 Memorial doesn’t have a Desanti listed
Were I a betting man…

Damn… who would have thought that a granny would be trying to pull off the crap that normally seems to be SOP for young wannabes or older dudes going through a midlife crisis.
I am old enough (50s) that I get the midlife crisis thing, but I damn sure would not be trying to exaggerate my military background on the net or at actual events, or to the media!
Just asking for trouble…
Another instance of referring to herself as a retired Captain (see page 26): http://www.townofriverheadny.gov/docview.aspx?doctype=minute&docid=9694
I so wish I was at that meeting, for a multitude of reasons. It is a prime example of a group celebrating willful ignorance on so many levels. Thanx for the post.
WOW, lots of offensive personal comments!! I won’t defend her, because I do believe that there is some truth to this story, but the personal comments are uncalled for!! We personally know her, but severed ties with her a couple years ago, because of the way she treats ppl, uses them and her stories just were not adding up. Needless to say, our “spidy senses” were going off!! After we finally got her number, WE were the bad guys!! She talked a lot of shit about us, but she knew we had her number, so in the end, we were the winners! We do not doubt that she served, but to what extent? That is the million dollar question! Her favorite line is “I never lie”! Well, that should have been fair warning to us, but there was a female Veteran bond that not every female Vet gets, so we did let a lot of her “stories” and comments go. I wish we could say we are shocked, but after dealing with her for a couple of years, we are not. And there is a long line of others that feel the same way we do and they have probably not even seen this info!! It is sad, that someone like her would have to embellish her service!! To us, any Veteran is a hero, especially out VN Vets!! That alone, should be enough, but I guess it wasn’t for her! We don’t get out to the Legions and other places, we would run into her at, as much as we used to, so I cannot say she is in hiding, but I am sure we will all find out, at the end of the month, when we have out Legion Convention, which she has always shown up at. To say we are VERY DISAPOINTED, is an understatement!! All I want to know is WHY? But,I suspect we will never know. For now, the respect and admiration we had for her is totally gone and no explanation will ever be make up for what she did!! If I do see… Read more »
To embellish ones service, one would have to have served. In her case all FOIA’s have been returned with NO SERVICE FOUND. Using a SSN would be appropriate as all service numbers of members still serving after Vietnam were converted to their SSN. So checking her service by FOIA using her SSN would have come back with any time she spent in the Military.
As far as the personal comments, the vast majority of commentors here have just plain had it with pieces of shit like her.
People that are crap weasels like her have lost all credibility. They are soul-less fucks who are fair game for any insults, no matter how vile.
This bitch is a con artist playing the “old” card.
Get a life about the comments or get lost.
Kyla – does she go by Maggie? I was told about a LTC Maggie at ALR Apache Junction Post 27…
Meanwhile in 2010, when she was soliciting for the United Veterans of America, they posted this on their facebook page: “If a person wil lie to you, they will steal from you, if they steal from you, they could be capable of killing you. Approach with caution when dealing with liars.”
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=111275788917726&id=340621702226
I am surprised All-Points Logistics has not brought her in yet to work with the “less-than-honorable” COL WII.
She is only a Captain show the paper work???
Methinks she’s just too addicted to getting attention in any way she can, I don’t think she’ll ever quit.
