Wednesday morning feel good story

Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories again this morning. The first is from North Carolina where a 20-year-old woman is facing conspiracy charges for dropping her boyfriend off at his crime scene;
Person County Sheriff Dewey Jones said the homeowner, whom he did not name, discovered Jonathan Ellias Ziminack, 25, in the bedroom at about 5 a.m. wearing a mask “like a hoodie (but) only his eyes were showing.”
The homeowner pulled a pistol from beside his bed and fired one shot at Ziminack, Jones said. The bullet hit the shotgun before striking Ziminack in the stomach, Jones said.
Ziminack was transported by medical helicopter to Duke University Medical Center where he died on the way to surgery, Jones said.
The next story comes from Nebraska;
Police said the homeowner, Larry Rohatsch, told them he went to answer the front door after someone rang the doorbell and a man was standing inside the home. That’s when the homeowner opened fire, police said.
A neighbor said the intruder kicked in the homeowner’s door.
The suspect, identified as 48-year-old Darrell Miller, was taken to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center in extremely critical condition where died later the same day.
The homeowner’s 4-year-old daughter was also home at the time of the shooting, police said.
The last story comes from California;
The homeowner told deputies that the burglars knocked on his front door and — when he didn’t answer — they went to the side of the house and removed a window screen.
“The homeowner … fired a shot from a .45-caliber handgun at the subject that was coming through the window,” investigators said in a written statement. “The suspect was not hit and fled over a back wall into Golden Oak Park.”
Deputies soon arrested three juveniles matching the burglars’ description.
.45 caliber works every time whether you hit the target or not.

I love my .45.
Yep, I looooooooove my Glock 21.
.45 ACP, .45 Colt, .45-70. Anything with .45 in it is a bad mutha. I have some .45 colt speer hollow points that I call my Tea Cup loads. They look like the open end of a tea cup and grow to massive size on penetration. The wound channel looks like it was cut by a chainsaw.
