Gazans begin to question Hamas

| August 13, 2014

The Washington Post reports that Gazans are finally coming to realize that maybe Hamas isn’t all that good for them;

“When they fire from here, Israel repays us with an F-16 airstrike,” said Rafaat Shamiya, 40, adding that he largely blames Israel. “We are tired. We don’t have the power to fight the Israeli. While he is sitting in his office in Israel, he can destroy all of Gaza by remote control.”

[…]

Some residents said they don’t expect Hamas and other Palestinian militant factions to help rebuild Gaza.

“They just fight Israel, and then they leave everything,” said Mahmoud, 20, who asked that his last name not be used. “The people will pay the price.”

Well, that’s all well and good that they’ve finally recognized the unfortunate position in which they find themselves, but will they do anything about it now?

Still, no Gazans interviewed…suggested that Hamas’s decision to wage war against Israel was misguided. Israel, they said, has given Palestinians no other alternative route to improve their lives and live with dignity.

Yeah, no, probably not.

What’s that old saying, something about, “He who sups with the Devil, needs to use a very long spoon?”

Hondo

Look for Hamas to begin “visiting” anyone in Gaza making such statements shortly. They don’t tolerate dissent very well.

No doubt. They’re reasonable people.

“Israel, they said, has given Palestinians no other alternative route to improve their lives and live with dignity.”

Dignity? Really? You are people that strap explosives to donkeys and hide rockets in schools. Real dignified, you savage asswipes.

Give it time. Egypt has brokered a truce between Ham-ass and Israel.

I think the Palestinians are afraid of the Ham-asses and do whatever they are told to do.

A long spoon, indeed.

Old Trooper

“adding that he largely blames Israel.”

And therein lies the problem. Nothing will change as long as they are blinded by their bias. If hamas didn’t fire rockets into Israel; would Israel still launch airstrikes against them? Anyone with 3 working brain cells knows the answer to that.

The problem is finding the once with 3 or more working brain cells….

Anyone with even half of a functioning brain cell would realize that Israelis are not afraid to fight to defend themselves and will do so without a second thought. The paleoswinians have never hesitated to use women and children as human shields as well as targeting them first when they attack. Just whose bright idea was it to give them the Gaza Strip as a piss treaty prize? That, and who shot first in every fight between them and Israel? BTW, I have had ZERO empathy or pity for the paleoswinians since I saw news footage of them dancing and partying to celebrate the 9/11 attacks, SCREW ‘EM one and all!

I actually saw a headine on CNN today while waiting in line at the shoppette that said, “Ceasefire holding in Gaza despite continued fighting.” Leads me to believe that CNN doesn’t know what ‘cease-fire’ means.
