About Berghdal’s “Reintegration” . . . .
Berghdal has lately been “out and about” as part of his “reintegration”. Well, I guess that’s . . . OK. Sorta. Maybe.
Bergdahl has been back under US control for nearly a month now. An Army MG has been appointed to investigate his . . . well, let’s just say “unusual” disappearance in Afghanistan.
So I wonder: how’s that investigation coming? I mean, there aren’t that many soldiers who were members of his unit and were at Berghdal’s location when he disappeared. So even if they’re out of the military, they’ve certainly been contacted by now – right?
Um, well – not exactly . Seems no one has contacted them yet.
For some reason, the terms “Tom Sawyer” and “fence” keep coming to mind. But maybe that’s just a coincidence.

‘I reckon it wouldn’t hardly do, Ben.’
Yeah, as I said before, the “facts’ of Bergdahl’s disappearnce, we were told by the administration, would not be known until Bergdahl was interviewed. Ya gotta love it.
Here’s hoping they are just waiting to contact all the parties after Bergdahl is cleared for “reintegration” and becomes available for reinvestigation…
Sadly, I think you are not far off the mark with the old whitewash analogy….our senior leadership team in the military these days seems far more intent on kissing ass and protecting post military employment opportunities than on actually leading the military they are charged with protecting and leading into the future.
There is no such thing as coincidences.
The Dictator-in-Chief has already declared that Berghdal was a victim and did not go AWOL.
So let it be written, so let it be done.
I’d love to help Bergdahl “Reintegrate”…
Let this bag of cowardly bones be free for the small fee of 5 American hating, head chopping, terrorist while our brother in Mexico is languishing.
Yeah this was written for Fartbongo and his crew… 😀 😀 😀
Investigation? Most, if not all, of us know what it is:
I would like to see his squad members in an interrogation room with him, under guard. Nothing physical. They get to talk to him and ask him on tape, why he did what he did. I know the little weasel will lie and feign memory loss. But I just want to hear their questions directed at him. I hope they don’t let him walk too far or too freely. He could just walk off post and be gone. Then besides not being a deserter, he wouldn’t be AWOL either. Just going walkabout.
De “Fence” has never been white washed so well since Tom Sawyer’s time.
I’m more interested in what they’re doing to deprogram him, than to reintegrate him.
Hah! Who am I kidding?
I can think of a lot of people who would be happy to “reintegrate” Bergdahl with the soles of their boots and the pavement simultaneously, and repeatedly.
I’m still glad social media and blogs provided the means for his former unit to get the word out. Otherwise it would have been a hero welcome home, feather in POTUS cap; rather than ‘how can we make this go away’
I can imagine the walk-through by the investigator before the official questioning began and tape was rolling.
“Now, sergeant, some folks are saying that you just walked away from your unit. That would be desertion, as you know. In time of war, that’s a capital offense. The President of the United States met publicly with your Dad and Mom. The President of the United States doesn’t think you are a deserter. So, preliminarily, before your answers to questions I must ask are recorded, let’s review the events of that evening when you were taken captive through no fault of your own, shall we?”
Anyone know how his active duty status works? He was first term so that meant a four year enlistment. I don’t think the goat fuckers were authorized to reenlist him. Being a few years past his ETS, is he not technically a civilian? Or do they also plan to give him a reenlistment bonus in addition to back pay?
No, He would still be in the military. He would be carried on the roll as POW.
Sort of one of those Involuntary extension deals.
Fine…a few months of R&R before his long tour in the, “Stone Motel”,(Levenworth).
Where is VWP to defend this jack-wagons “heroic act of desertion”?
I know that he has time since he will not be celebrating the 4th of July because he hates this country and everything it stands for. I am also quite sure that he even refuses to take the day off from work (like he has a job other than huffing glue and paint).
“Where is VWP to defend this jack-wagons ‘heroic act of desertion’?”
Bill Ayers beat him to the punch. At least Ayers was able to construct a coherent sentence, although bullshit is still bullshit, no matter how eloquently stated.
I wondered if he’s been heckled yet.
I wonder how he has the nerve to show his face in public.
I’m sure he has a PSD that’s keeping others a fair piece away from him…
I have been a lot more neutral then a lot of people here. But that was predicated on the Idea that the Army would do a real investigation. While that is still possible (it has only been a few weeks and i doubt the general is working on the investigation 24/7 and i forgot but it is either 60 or 90 days to generate a report by reg and everyone blows that timeline anyway) this does not exactly look good.
as far as him being out and about, i really see no problem with that, he has not even been charged yet never mind i think he would not get pre-trial confinement even for desertion if history is any guide.
I guess this is what i get for showing even i little trust in big Army, something i should know better then to do by now
You can bet your last yankee dollar that the “Facts” of Burbdolls walkabout will be exactly as dictated by the White House spinmeisters to make the president look like less of a girlyman.
Just skimmed the post real quick before I head to work, MG still stands for Machine Gunner right?
