Wanker Walt
Someone sent this to us on Facebook. It’s a video of some fellows across the pond who run into a “Walt” in a convenience store. “Walt” is the term that real soldiers in the UK use to describe their phonies. It comes from James Thurber’s “Walter Mitty” character.
This one has quite a rack – he even has a medal for PTSD, even though there’s no such thing. So it looks like he’s wearing a chest full of commemorative medals – they represent the fact that he once had the money to buy them all. Commemorative medals mean nothing.
Category: Phony soldiers
I don’t buy medals – I just buy references (seminar speakers, veteran’s organizations, and SOF veterans that have lost their moral compass). I like the “Walt” nickname. In Basic, perhaps they called me “Giggity Garglin’ Giduck”. Well, that and likely “pussy”.
Sincerely
John “Faker 6” Giduck
I thought even the phonies new enough to stay FAR away from commemorative medals. I mean seriously, who in the fuck is propping up THAT industry?
Everywhere you go…there they are!
The breast star is a Masonic Knights Templar breast star:

Also, it looks like one of the soldiers challenging the walt is an NCO (Sergeant Major?) — he has his NCO sash and pace-stick.
Douchetardery not limited to in America…
That is some serious bling. Did he think no one would ask?
As and add on, after I retire, I am going to buy a bunch of assorted tin from various places and wear it along with my Campfire Girl medals and see if anyone asks. j/k
A 17 year old posing as a MI state trooper (uniform and badge) arrived at a local motel saying he wanted to investigate a fight.
The motel manager was mystified and called the local cops. Kid was arrested on a misdemeanor for posing as a state trooper. No motive as yet on why he did it. By the way, he was a pudgy 17 year old.
Stolen valor should also be at the least a misdemeanor. BZ
He is not a real poser until he straps a Knight Of The British Realm around his neck
I could understand very little of what was being said.
I understood the words, “Three Para”, “Sandhurst”, and “Maltese Cross”, and not enough of anything else to be able to determine what was happening.
As George Bernard Shaw would say, “England and America are two countries separated by a common language.”
The Brits seem to take this shit seriously as well. Nice. Ran into a group of Brits training on TBS at the Hawk. Had a blast, crazy SOB’s. It was a day or two before before graduation, I traded my TBS t-shirt that night for one of there’s with a sotted bloke. Good times. Tried to wear it the next day for our final PT run, had to settle for basic green per the CO. Would have been cool though.
If anyone is interested, here is the URL for a post I created at my own personal web site, “OUR ETERNAL STRUGGLE”, explaining in detail how veterans may properly wear their military decorations on civilian clothing, as directed by Army Regulation 670-1:30-6 – – – ;

Especially note the official military video regarding salutes rendered by veterans attired in civilian clothing.
