Vets For Freedom emailed their latest, last minute video “One Letter”;

They have this staement in relation to the video on the website;

Vets for Freedom today released a new television advertisement, “One Letter,” as part of its continuing effort to urge Senator Barack Obama to acknowledge recent U.S. successes, support the troops, and embrace the mission in Iraq. The ad will air in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Senator Obama has denied the success of the surge and has decided to play partisan politics with our soldiers instead of recognizing their success. “One Letter,” recounts the reflective writings of General Dwight Eisenhower before D-Day. He wrote two letters, one congratulating our troops on their success and heroism, the other taking full responsibility for the failure of the mission. Such reflection has been largely absent from the Democratic leadership, and Senator Barack Obama. Instead they continue to use talking points from those invested in defeat in Iraq, rather than commanders on the ground.
