Charlie Crist perpetuates his lying

Charlie Crist Campaigns For Florida Governor

Charlie Crist, when he was running for governor of Florida, promised that he would be a Jeb Bush Republican, since Bush had been a popular governor for the folks in that state, but his actions didn’t match his deeds. He raised taxes and named liberals to the judiciary.

Then he decided that he wanted to be a Senator, but he got slammed by Marco Rubio in the primary, so he left the Republican Party and joined the Democrats in time for the gubernatorial election this year. Now, he says that he left the Republicans because they’re a bunch of racists, since he was defeated after he shared a moment and a hug with the President. Says the Washington Times;

Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist said in an interview Tuesday that the primary reason he left the Republican Party is because of its “intolerable” racism.

The Republican-turned-independent-turned-Democrat told Fusion TV’s Jorge Ramos that he saw so much hostility toward President Obama that he just “couldn’t take it anymore.”

“They’re perceived now as being anti-woman, anti-immigrant, anti-minority, anti-gay, anti-education, anti-environment,” he said. “I just wasn’t comfortable.

“I couldn’t be consistent with myself and my core beliefs, and stay with a party that was so unfriendly toward the African-American president, I’ll just go there,” he said.

Also, he couldn’t be a republican because he couldn’t win Republican primaries, so the LSOS joined in the meme about racism. He belongs in the Democrat party. You know his sauce is weak when the Washington Post calls him a liar;

Crist’s rhetoric reflected reality. He needed to win both Democratic and Republican votes if he had any chance at winning the general election. (He didn’t win — or come very close.) Alienating either party would have badly hurt his standing. Crist did what made sense politically: Cast his decision as an act of conscience when faced with a two-party system that was not serving the needs of its people.

So why then is Crist changing his story now? Again, politics seems to be the obvious answer. Crist is running for governor in 2014, this time as a Democrat. (Crist officially became a Democrat in December 2012.) His biggest problem in that race against Gov. Rick Scott (R)? Ongoing trepidation from some within the Democratic base about his commitment to core party principles.

I’m not a registered Republican or Democrat, so what bother me most about Crist’s proclamation is that it doesn’t serve the political process at all. Not everyone who opposes the president’s policies are racists and I think the folks who do are a damn sight fewer than what’s portrayed in a media desperate to cover for him.

I don’t oppose Ric Shinseki’s occupation of the director’s seat of the Veterans’ Affairs Department because he’s of Japanese ancestry, I oppose him because he’s a miserable failure. The same goes for the President. He’d be a miserable failure if he was all white. He’s had more than five years to fix the economy, he could have authorized drilling oil in the beginning and we wouldn’t have the high gas prices and the resulting inflation that comes from hauling our goods to market on the roads.

Building a simple pipeline would have put thousands of Americans back to work, but the President clings to his liberal principles harder than he does to common sense. This is the 21st century, for Pete’s sake, no one with a drab of intelligence thinks that failure is exclusive to any particular skin color, but a lack of intelligence when it comes to the real world is exclusive to a particular party. Someone once said that so much of what the Democrats think they know just isn’t true. That was the way it was when Jimmy Carter was president and it’s true today. Irrespective of the melanin content of a person’s skin.

Richard Nixon was that kind of moron, too. Remember that his stupid “Wage and Price Freeze” to curb inflation was about the most dumbass thing that ever came out of the White House until recently. So stupidity isn’t exclusive to one party or the other either, but the difference is that Nixon stopped his asshattery when it made inflation worse.

This administration, however just plows straight ahead despite their obvious failures – failures like Shinseki. They’d rather distract us with gun legislation to cover up for their poor economic record, along with all of their policies. And Crist is doing the same thing in Florida, trying to make himself a darling of the Democrats by calling the Republicans racists to distract from his disastrous term in the governor’s mansion. So how many Floridians went back to work because of Crist’s remarks? How many pennies fell off the price of gas? How much did the price of milk go down?

I will admit, however, that I don’t like orange people and I don’t think I’m alone in that particular prejudicial proclamation.

Oh, yeah; fire Shinseki!!!

Crist is a POS and I am ashamed that I once voted him.

I agree. Being in Florida he either needs to stay out of the sun or use less bronzer. Looks like George Hamilton.

LebbenB

There will be NO, and I mean NO, disparaging of Tan Master Hamilton.

ArmyATC

I agree! George Hamilton is the High King Tan Master. Anyone else is just a poser and wannabe.

If there’s one thing Florida DOESN’T NEED, it’s an orange Governor (His skin color from the “fake bake” tans, not the fruit, although rumor is that he’s a closet fruit!)!

“I couldn’t be consistent with myself and my core beliefs”

This dried up raisins core beliefs consist of saying or doing whatever he has to in order to get a vote. He could not be more obvious or more of a panderer. There are very few politicians as oily as Crist, and that is saying something.

Oh, and fire Shinseki!!!

Martinjmpr

So you’re prejudiced against Oompa-Loompa-Americans then?

Call the NAAOP!!!

Yeah, and some of us don’t like liars no matter their age, gender, ethnicity, skin color or zip code. But folks who don’t understand things like honor and principled behavior will never get that.

I lived in Florida around the time Hurricane Katrina cut a path through Dade County on its way to level the Gulf Coast.

I distinctly remember Charlie ‘effin’ Crist wandering around in the background during a live news report being conducted in some wreckage at the Miami School District HQ.

Charlie ‘effin’ Crist had his Florida Attorney General windbreaker on ensuring he was in the public eye showing concern for the victims. After all we all know that is what an Attorney General for a State should be concentrating on.

He’s an opportunistic political douche and if Florida elects him back into office they deserve every bit of crap that comes with it.

Chameleon is the word that crops up in my mind when someone mentions Charlie Crist’s name,he changes his colors and texture faster than a cuttlefish!

He’s camo glitter slime from a unicorn’s nose.

The Other Whitey

I suppose it’s comforting to know that we Californians aren’t the only ones with lying shitbag hacks for governors. New Jersey also comes to mind in that regard.

Well, here in my home state of Washington we have a carpet bagging POS by the name of Inslee.

He lost his US House seat from a district in Easter Washington to a Republican, so the carpet bagger pulled up his tent stakes and moved to another district in Western Washington that will vote for a rock if it had a (D) behind its name.

During the Gubernatorial election leading up to 2012 he told the citizens of this state that he had the ‘secret sauce’ when asked what his plans were to build the economy. SECRET SAUCE!!!

MGySgtRet.

Did that Secret Sauce smell of piss and failure??

I hope this means RINO’s are back on the endangered species list.

What the people need is a REAL ticket they can vote for in 2016. I propose a General James Mattis/Judge Jeanine Pirro for the White House.

Common Sense

“but the President clings to his liberal principles harder than he does to common sense.”

I have to add a correction. This President has NO principles, right or left. I can accept people who truly believe environmentalism will help the planet or any number of other beliefs on the left. They are naive and misguided, but their hearts are in the right place.

This President has no heart. His only concern is with Barack and the power, wealth, and rich friends he can gain, i.e donors. Rich donors mean more multi-million dollar vacations in Hawaii and more ritzy golf games and parties with celebrities.

“commitment to core party principles”
What? DemonRats have principles? CC has principles? Pffftt! As if. Not to be believed, until seen.

Chargin’ Charlie Christ, I lived in Florida when he was governor and when he ran for U.S. Senator. He broke his promise not to run as an independent if he lost the Republican primary. He is a POS…in addition to being the most openly closeted gay politician in a sham marriage in ‘merica.

“They’re perceived now as being anti-woman, anti-immigrant, anti-minority, anti-gay, anti-education, anti-environment,” he said. “I just wasn’t comfortable.

So it it not reality that bothers Crist but perception?

He couldn’t stand up for his beliefs because of what others “perceived?”

Crist might go down in history as one politician who managed to tick off both sides of the aisle for a lack of spine, morals and conscience.
