Yer Periodic ObamaCare Update
An in today’s Pathetic Pile of Amazingly Convoluted Asininity Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (AKA ObamaCare) update:
- Criminal background? Check. Lied about it? Check. Work as a Nevada ObamaCare Navigator? Check.
- Wanna enroll at a Mexican Consulate? No problem. ObamaCare Navigators will help.
- What’s wrong with this picture: Employer provides no insurance? $2,000 fine. Employer provides insurance that doesn’t cover something required under Obamacare? $36,500 fine.
- Deep Blue state? Check. Runs own ObamaCare exchange? Check. Worst in exchange in the country? Arguably.
- But at least Maryland’s exchange signed up some folks by mid-Feb. Oregon’s spent $160M and didn’t.
- But things are going to get better and cheaper, right? Um, no – probably not. Is doubling or tripling premiums considered getting “better and cheaper”?
- But remember – it’s all your fault, America. As Jonn noted yesterday, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) the problem is that you’re just too ignorant to sign up properly.
Well, Reid is correct in one sense. Around 53% of the voters voted to reelect the Administration who gave us the abomination called ObamaCare. Maybe stupid really is as stupid does.
The sooner we realize this mishmash is a monumentally stupid idea and is completely unworkable, the better. We need to give it the “heave ho” posthaste.
I know every time I think of it it makes me want to “heave”.

My girlfriend lost her husband 5 years ago and with that she lost all her health insurance for herself and her children. She was able through Mass Health and the so called “RomneyCare” able to provide insurance for herself and children. It was actually a pretty decent system here in Mass under the plan put in place by Romney when he was our Governor… in that it at least worked and provide inusrance that did not cost an arm and a leg and there were a lot of options with regards to Specialist, etc..
The Mass Health Connector under Obamacare has crashed. The Plans cost for enrollees has skyrocketed and no way of knowing if or how much of a “credit” anyone enrolled or trying to enroll will get on their Health Insurance.
For my Girlfriend it has meant losing specialist she has used for years for her children. Her premiums are skyrocketing, and her dedctables and copays as well.
So next time some ObamaCare fan tells you that it is actually RomneyCare… tell them to go have themselves a big ole steamin cup of STFU!
I have written this before and will again because its memory still bothers me. My first and only personal account of Obamacare. I was waiting in the doc’s office with my wife. Across the way is a young family waiting. Dad, who I gather from their conversations works graveyards at a job paying a bit more than minimum wage, wife, child and Grandma, who lives with them and they care for. Grandma gets up and walks to the bulletin board and sees an ACA poster. She sits back down and asks grandson, “What is this Obamacare?” The young man’s head dipped and his voice quietened from the laughter he was enjoying with his son. He said, “Grandma, next year this good insurance I have at work is going away because it doesn’t cover one of the things the government says it has to. The Obamacare insurance they showed us we can get then will cost me over four times more than what we have now. I don’t know how we can afford it Grandma. Our insurance is high now but our insurance is really good. I don’t care about the thing it won’t cover because we never will use it. Well we never have. But because of that, I don’t know what we’re going to do Grandma.” I thought of a lot of political things I wanted to say but I kept silent. The young man was worried for his family and the last thing he wanted to hear was further evidence of what he was experiencing first hand. I felt so sad for him. A hard working young man, raising his family and caring for Grandma and trying to make ends meet. Blessed with a good insurance plan, soon to go away because of the pure lack of caring and compassion from the President of the United States. This young family and many like them are the ones Obama is hurting most. I thought to myself, this man could quit work, go on welfare and food stamps, free medical and never really worry again. Well, I am happy to see an obamanation update just to be able to put the blame where it belongs–on John Roberts’ pointy head. That POS deserves the disdain of every thinking American for no other reason than he foisted on the entire country a novel and disingenuous rationale for upholding Obamacare, finding it to be a tax! That idiocy was expected by…wait for it…nobody! And if you recall, the administration conceded at oral argument that obamacare is not a tax and could not be construed to be a tax. No matter, not to John Roberts, it had to be a tax beacause as a matter correctly viewed through the interstate commerce clause lens, obamacare was going to lose. Hell, it HAD to lose. So the sonofabitch–Mr. John “Sonofabitch” Roberts tosses the ICC and uses the only nonsensical thing he could to ensure obamacare stayed alive. He is a first-rate rat bastard. One man –ONE!–allowed obamacare to survive. And that is judicial tyranny, nothwithstanding what the llt-livered pukes in Congress did.
John Roberts is a traitor to the republic. He will forever be linked with Snowden and Benedict Arnold. In the world of traitors he stands above the Rosenbergs. May he rot in hell. We should spit at the mention of his name.
