Jean Fraud Kerry: Leading the Charge of the Lie Brigade

| September 5, 2013

Obama’s choice of John Kerry to lead the charge for war against Syria demonstrates once again just what a tin ear this administration has. When you have a hard sell from the get-go, it helps to have a credible spokesman. Has every member of the president’s inner circle forgotten the 2004 election and how John Kerry was shown by former members of his naval unit in Vietnam to have huge credibility issues regarding his own war record and his untruthful testimony before Congress about American atrocities in Vietnam? Have they never considered that the reason John Kerry never followed through on his promise to sue those sailors who had portrayed him as a fraud and his war record as phony, for defamation, libel and slander was due to the simple fact that a complete defense to such charges is if their statements happened to be true?

John Kerry’s former shipmates rose up, almost to a man, and deprived him of the presidency with vicious lies and he didn’t sue? With the potential for damages that such a case would present? With the opportunity of righteous retribution against those who had harmed him so grievously? With the promise of vindication before the entire world and the means to clear his name? I’ll wager every lawyer reading this will tell you that his failure to sue was due to that one little issue of truth. He sought neither vindication nor punitive damages because as a lawyer himself he understood that legal discovery and testimony would not only destroy his legal position, it would destroy what remained of his political career.

So John Kerry tucked tail, despite being mocked for doing so, and let the issue die away quietly so that he could retain his senate seat and survive to head the state department, a job where many believe the ability to lie blatantly and convincingly is considered essential. The problem, however, lies with the millions of Americans, particularly millions of veterans like me, who wouldn’t take John Kerry’s word on any topic, but especially on an issue that involves such a malodorous misuse of our military. My own informal sampling around the Internet tells me that any Obama Red Line attack draws a red flag from most veterans, a cohort notable for standing strongly in support of any legitimate implementation of military force.

Some will say that since Kerry is Secretary of State and has friends in Congress, he should be leading this campaign. But many millions of us are convinced Kerry’s carefully crafted career is based entirely on lies pertaining to military operations, both his and others. Apparently our sage leaders in the White House think Secretary Botox sufficiently detoxed from his 2004 debacle to lead this Charge of the Lie Brigade, a widely unpopular military proposal, with an outcome likely similar to its Crimean counterpart. It’s truly questionable who’s dumber, the fools in the administration who picked Kerry to sell this suspect story or the fool Republicans in Congress who are sucking it up.

Consider that most of those in Congress are lawyers so they have to be fully aware that Kerry didn’t sue in 2004 because he couldn’t risk the trial discovery process. They know he’s a fraud who lied about his war record and the so-called Vietnam atrocities, yet his former Senate colleagues have just bought the self-serving lie this administration huckster is selling. What a bunch of cheese-eater weasels.
Hey, at least I’m not alone here. This guy definitely agrees with me. Jean Fraud Kerry indeed.

Yeah, he’s a lying sac-o-shit. His boss–a community organizer from Chicago–is a lying sac-o-shit. So, what else is new?

When Barry nominated Kerry and he was confirmed, I recall thinking “American’s have short memories.”

Now we have this bullshit to contend with.

Combat Historian

Fuck off, kerry; go back to Paris and stay there…

Remember, kids, ol’ Swift Boat Kerry was for Asaad before he was against him!!

OWB

And will somebody please tell me what is going on with his face these days? He was always horse faced, among other things. Now he looks like he’s on steroids.

May we see his medical records now?

Reaperman

That poem–or rather as much as I can remember of it–has been popping into my head regularly for the last few days now. At least I’m not the only one.

#5 – I think he has had “some work done.” His face looks like a rubbery mask. It is kind of creepy. Oh, and whoever does his makeup (don’t even try and tell me he doesn’t wear any), a little something on his lips might help. They seem to blend into his face too much.

Redacted1775

He’s voting for it…so he can vote against it….er some shit.

Not only is he creepy, he calls his wife Lovey.

Kerry is a liar, and as Secretary of State, his work will be a lie. Liars lie. That’s what they do.

I can’t believe how deep in the latrine we as a nation are right now, because of moral degenerates like this. We are so very screwed.

There was a great read on the NRO by John Fund. Indeed, he was for it before he was against it. I mean, he’s essentially prostituting our troops…we should be “okay” with the fact that the Ay-rabs will pay? WTF is the matter with these people?

Lurch is a Fucktard.

The Washington Post wrote an article “debunking” the Swift Boat Veterans’ story, which at the time I thought was extraordinarily weak. Then they wrote a second article claiming to have completely refuted the Swift Boat Veterans’ story, and wondering why some nutbars still held on to it. THEN I saw interview (on C-Span?) of the author of Kerry’s “autobiography”, a person who claimed to be an historian and who calmly answered a whole series of questions in a way that admitted that he had written a hagiography, and that it was untruthful.

After that, I bought “Unfit for Command.”

@5. No. We are to trust him on that too. If he was wounded multiple times and received multiple PHs, qualifying him to get the hell out of Dodge, thats his story and he’s sticking to it. And if he was on solo patrol in the jungle, armed only with an M16 and–by pure chance–a cameraman, that’s his story too. Why doesn’t anyone believe him? Why won’t his men stick up for him, the rat bastard.

2/17 Air Cav

@10. Really? That’s what Thurston J. Howell III called his wife too. (That’s the rich guy from Gilligan’s Island, a 60s TV show, for you punk kids.)

Funny y’all mention his face, I think he needs to demand a refund from his Plastic Surgeon, he looks like Lurch from “The Addams Family” with a fancy hairdo!!

How do they decide which of them is the designated liar? Is it assigned by the week, or does polling influence the duration of the assignment? Do they ever get together and talk truthfully among themselves?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I can’t even muster up anger over this utter crap any more. There is far too much of it, and it just keeps piling up higher and higher.

I will, instead, try to have the patience to wait and see what happens, and try to be prepared for the worst outcome. There is nothing more that I, or any of us can do.

We can indeed do some things, PH! One is to call our Congress critters and demand that they vote no on this mess and return their attention to defunding the even bigger mess that is bumblecare. Every day that their focus is elsewhere, the closer we get to the proverbial fiscal cliff.

Valerie is spot on. Bodaprez and the Prognazis have a completely different view of Kerry and 2004.

The Swiftboaters were astroturf created by Karl Rove. After all, the US Navy never de-awarded Kerry (as a senator, the USN wouldn’t have dared to do that), and therefore the awards and combat were real.

“Christmas in Cambodia” was evidence of a weakness to be exploited later, Chicago-style.

Kerry was the prototype for Obama as a senator: sponsor no legislation, leave no paper trail, spark no controversy.

Unlike Bush, Kerry actually went to Vietnam. Like Hagel, McDermott, and the late, unlamented John Murtha, Kerry saw combat, and was recognized for valor. The stories of Kerry taking advantage of a Navy that didn’t scrutinize battle reports and self-written award recommendations was unbelievable to Prognazis in the grip of Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Kerry, like Bob Filner of San Diego, and the serial rapists Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton, always voted the Left way; and, like Pat Leahy and Chuck Schumer, Kerry always had a vicious lie to smear the opposition with – always important to fighting against the forces of Evil.

So to answer your question: the Prognazis didn’t forget 2004, they just view it differently. Kerry is seen as a legitimate hero and his antiwar activism makes him a balanced, rational actor.

I saw his 8mm epic. The only thing I can say is there are some places I wish he had tried to do the same thing.

Yeah, I’ll send an email to Joe Manchin and ask how his date with Mayor Bloomberg went and how the registration effirts are going and then I’ll say, “Senator, I sincerely hope that you will be voting AGAINST authorizing a military strike of Syria.” And then, in about a week to ten days, I will receive me a 3 or 4 page letter (He does that, you know) which is worded so strangely, I won’t be able to tell whether he is FOR or AGAINST a military strike.

charles w

@15, No but that’s the joke. To me they both have that Harvard accent. Glad I am not the only old fart in here. I also heard he did a three hour tour, in Vietnam.

Ex-PH2

@20 – OWB, I agree, but I also feel that the edge of that’fiscal cliff’ is already looming up, with Bernanke being canned and someone far less transparent taking his place. Those wheels have been turning for some time. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

Everything points to another financial crash some time in the next 18 months. I think the best thing to do is have a well-stocked pantry/freezer, etc., and get whatever you’re going to get ASAP, before it does happen. I”m not in a panic mode, just saying be aware that it can happen.

This hawkish stuff with Syria is, in my humble opinion, just an attempt to distract the masses (all of us, not just Those Who Follow) from the harsh reality of manifest incompetence coming out of Washington.

No one here has argued that the financial incompetence on display is devastating to everyone it affects. Cut military raises? Drawdown defense? And then start a war? Let’s call that spade a spade, while we’re at it.

None of this asinine crap makes any sense to you or me or anyone else on the sidelines, but we all get to see what happens. I have written to my two senators and my congressmen, and only the two senators (Kirk and Durbin) even bothered to reply, and it was with a form letter. Now I realize they’re busy, but my letter was specific in regard to VA Health Care and Medicare. Form letter replies do not address what I said.

Let them make a mess of things. Let’s watch the train wreck. It may be 1932 all over again, and if so, who’s in charge?

Ex-PH2

See? The Russians are now moving in to evacuate their citizens, just in case some US person gets antsy with the button.

Charge of the Lie Brigade. I like it.

Arab League, Arab League,
Arab League onward.

Butchers to the right of us.
Butchers to the left of us.
Butchers in front of us.

Yeah, it could work.

*Goes to fiddle with it*

*returns with a first pass*

Arab League, Arab League,
Arab League onward,
All in for a lunge to War,
Bode the committee.
‘Forward, the Lie Brigade!
Charge them with gas’ he said:
Into the valley of Death
Bode the committee.

‘Forward, the Lie Brigade!’
Was there a man dismay’d?
Not tho’ the pundits knew
Some one had bumbled:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to answer why,
Theirs but to spin and lie:
Into the valley of Death
Bode the committee.

Lawyers to the right of them,
Lawyers to the left of them,
Lawyers in front of them
Holler’d and thunder’d;
Storm’d at with shout and yell,
Boldly they scold and quell,
Into the mouth of Hell
Bode the committee

Flash’d all their fables bare,
Flash’d as they spun thin air
Twisting the logic there,
Sitting on armies while
? All the world wonder’d:
Plunged by the chemical-smoke
Right o’er’ the line they stroked;
Shia and Sunni
Peel’d for the coming vote,
Chatted and wonder’d.
when we’d hold back, but not
Not the committee.

Butchers to right of them,
Butchers to left of them,
Lawyers behind them
? Voted and bluster’d;
Storm’d at with shout and quell,
While town and city fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro’ the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
? Was the committee.

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charges made!
? All the world wonder’d.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Lie Brigade,
? Noble committee!

BRAVO!! I bow before your greatness. You and PoeTrooper need to get together and have a poetry jam.

@7 – “BLAME BUSH!” James “Snakehead” Carville did just that on O’Reilly’s show on Fox.

@21 – Great comments about Lurch. Say, didn’t Lurch throw “his” medals over the WH fence during one of his idiot protests? Only problem-they weren’t his medals. His were subsequently spotted in a shadowbox on the wall of his senate office.

Ex-PH2

You’re right: Kerry’s face has gone completely weird. It’s bloated. It looks like a mask, like something that could be peeled off on Trick or Treat night.

And have you noticed how he doesn’t move his head much? He doesn’t lift his chin when he looks up at something, he just raises his eyes, like he can’t move his head or neck.

There is no expression at all on his face. Weird.

streetsweeper

sKerry worries the clay base for his makeup will crack and fall off at any time if he makes sudden movements of face, neck and or head. Putins been jabbing and ignoring him since he slid into SoS…heh.

I wish one of the Congresscritters would have used his own words from his 1971 Congrssional Testimony against him.

“Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin and Brian Schatz announced on Thursday they won’t support a Senate resolution to authorize military force in Syria, making the job of passing it that much harder.”

The article goes on to say that Joe was considered an important swing vote. Finally, Manchin did something I can be proud of. Schatz, by the way, is from—Hawaii!–and said he heard from his constituents who are opposed to a strike, Yeah.
