White House knew three days before about chemical attack
So looking at the Government Assessment of the Syrian Government’s Use of Chemical Weapons on August 21, 2013 from the White House in regards to the chemical attack in Syria, you’ll come across this paragraph under the heading “Preparation”;
We have intelligence that leads us to assess that Syrian chemical weapons personnel – including personnel assessed to be associated with the SSRC – were preparing chemical munitions prior to the attack. In the three days prior to the attack, we collected streams of human, signals and geospatial intelligence that reveal regime activities that we assess were associated with preparations for a chemical weapons attack.
Syrian chemical weapons personnel were operating in the Damascus suburb of ‘Adra from Sunday, August 18 until early in the morning on Wednesday, August 21 near an area that the regime uses to mix chemical weapons, including sarin. On August 21, a Syrian regime element prepared for a chemical weapons attack in the Damascus area, including through the utilization of gas masks. Our intelligence sources in the Damascus area did not detect any indications in the days prior to the attack that opposition affiliates were planning to use chemical weapons.
So, I wonder who they told, if they warned through their “sources” any rebels or civilians?
Further;
We assess with high confidence that the Syrian regime has used chemical weapons on a small scale against the opposition multiple times in the last year, including in the Damascus suburbs.
So why is this the first time we’re hearing about this? Apparently, according to the White House the Assad regime has been dancing on the “red line” since the President drew the damn thing. But now suddenly, with the failures of every policy that this administration has advanced in the headlines, all of a sudden we a distraction with a shiny object like a limited military strike halfway around the world.
In related news, the same woman who spent two years trying to defund our troops who were engaged with al Qaeda in Iraq as the Speaker of the House, suddenly sees a “national security” interest in a limited and narrow strike against Syria, according to the Washington Post;
I guess they figure that a couple of videos of some ‘splodies on televion will make us forget that healthcare costs are rocketing into the stratosphere and we still don’t have any jobs. Time for the troops to yank the President’s fat from the fire once again.
Category: Barack Obama/Joe Biden, Congress sucks, Terror War
Look for this, the debt ceiling debate is upon us. Step 1) Obama threatens strikes (not too much so as not to offend his base) or even initiates operations then either suspends or delays them for “lack of funds”. Step 2) Demand more money from Congress. Step 3) If Congress approves divert money to domestic political purposes keeping operations on “hold” for some reason. Step 4) If Congress denies then no action (get out of jail card for Obama) and blame Republicans for not supporting the troops and being callous and fickle on foreign policy.
Why, Jonn? Three words: “Wag the Dog”.
Thus B. Hussein 0bama & Co. dropped the ball on this just like when “Blowjob Willie” & Co. had intel about the Aun Shunrikyo sarin attacks beforehand and did nothing about it!!
OK. Being prepared to do something proves nothing expect being prepared to do something. Kinda like most of us who were prepared to defend our work areas but were lucky enough to never have to actually defend them.
Egads. What a bunch of loons.
Pelosi’s support for war should come as no surprise. She was also anti-WMD in 2002, when she voted in SUPPORT for the war resolution against Iraq, stating that there was NO DOUBT that Saddam had WMD.
Limited strikes are being considered.

I know this is a silly thing to ask, but is there any chance at all that we will EVER get someone with some common sense in the White House? EVER?
Just askin’. I don’t like where even one tiny part of this is leading us.
So much for Teh Most Transparent Administration Evah.
And if Mrs Botox sez that we, the American Peeples, should fund and support a US military invasion of Syria, then I guess we’d best do it, just to prove our loyalty to BodaPrez.
//snark off
Benghazi was the lie AFTER. Syria is the lie BEFORE. The rest of the time, obamaman’s regime is giving us the lie DURING.
You can bet your sweet ass that if Pelosi is advocating for the Tomahawking of Syria, that her family has stock in Boeing. A Tomahawk costs the government one million, five hundred thousand dollars. ($1,500,000) If you shoot one you need to buy another one. If you shoot one hundred you need to buy a hundred more. A one hundred and fifty million dollar order to Boeing has got to effect the dividends to the stockholders. Of course Nancy hides her stock holdings inside the family business empire.
Oh, gee, even Vlad Putin is telling bodaprez to hold off on missile strikes against Syria.

Seriously, if that moron in WDC doesn’t understand that this is possibly the unwisest step he’s taken yet, when everyone is telling him to hold off, he is even dumber than I thought he was the first time he went speechifying. Well, maybe he just isn’t getting the news firsthand like we are, and maybe he’s listening to the wrong people, too, and we know mostly who they are, right?
He sure is digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself.
It seems that bodaprez is hesitant now to proceed to bitch slap Syria without asking permission first: http://feeds.nbcnews.com/c/35002/f/663303/s/30a2fdfb/sc/7/l/0Lworldnews0Bnbcnews0N0C0Inews0C20A130C0A80C310C20A270A6960Eobama0Ewill0Eseek0Econgressional0Eapproval0Ebefore0Eany0Emilitary0Eaction0Eagainst0Esyria0Dlite/story01.htm
The real question is this: if he does NOT get congressional approval, will he go ahead with it, anyway?
@ 11. He better not. It would be the biggest mistake of his short ugly political life.
You got that right, Roger.
Here is an update: http://feeds.nbcnews.com/c/35002/f/663303/s/30a393e0/sc/7/l/0Lfirstread0Bnbcnews0N0C0Inews0C20A130C0A80C310C20A2731280Ethe0Ewhite0Ehouse0Ewalk0Eand0Etalk0Ethat0Echanged0Eobamas0Emind0Eon0Esyria0Dlite/story01.htm
When one’s base of support is eroding, sometimes it’s a good idea to reconsider one’s options, as in ‘no strike on Syria w/o Congress OK’.
However, I believe that The One is just stubborn enough that he might go ahead, even if he does not get the approval he seeks. If he makes that bed, I hope he finds out quickly just how nasty it will be when he lies in it.
PH – I take this as his blinking again. He may have already figured out that he cannot win anything with anyone by shooting at Syria and is just looking for some way to save a little face.
This is what needs to be done now:
Make the Dems introduce the resolution, make every one register a roll call vote. Require all extra funding to come from the existing budget. Require the Administration to explain if this is a declaration of war, if not why not? Make the Administration go on record as to what is exactly their authority to do this without Congressional approval. Make them explain why if it is in their authority to go without Congressional approval that they are here asking for it.
Do not let them hide on this make them explain everything publicly. Congress should remember that Obama is coming to them not by Congressional demand!
Contact you’re congressional reps!
We have the stupidest POTUS in the history of POTUS,I watched our boozo on the tube.I’m embarrassed as a MERICAN.
OWB, you are very perceptive. I think you hit the old nail on the head. That ice is SO thin….
I have a gut feeling similiar “intelligence” was provided before September 12, 2012 – and we all know how that turned out.
The only thing that I would trust hussein to answer without lying is the question “barry, what does a dick taste like?”
