Some of the seized items included counterfeit gunsights, knives and arm braces bearing counterfeit branding of the following:

The state said the retail value of the goods is more than $7,000.

If the deal seems too good, caveat emptor.

I think that all G45s are Gen 5. I bought the G17 Gen 5 I carry during my gun buying splurge at Fort Belvior, then promptly realized a G45 was probably a better fit. So, I bought one of those not long after my stint at Bass Pro. The G45 has a Vortex sight in it and I carry that in a no-frills Glock (branded) OWB holster quite often. A fishing or Hawaiian shirt covers it well. The G19X is similar to the G45 in dimensions but has features of both Gen 5 and earlier generations, plus it only comes in FDE. Call me a traditionalist, but I like my pistols black. Well, except for my OD Para-Ordnance Tac-Four.

I’ve yet to handle a Gen 6, but from what I recall of James Reeves’ video on them (TFBTV), they essentially made the 45 redundant. You could buy a G47 and a G19, and putting the latter’s slide on the former’s frame made a G45, while the G47 slide on the G19 made a G19 longslide, but the newest generation makes the G17 frame the same as the G47 and G19. The Gen 6 has numerous other changes, making it probably the most substantive generation yet.

As for the bogus products, if there’s a market there’s a maker and a seller. Unfortunately, it’s the seller that’s held accountable 99% of the time, while the Chinese factory churning out the stuff will simply find other fools or male new stickers to put on the stuff. If anyone’s interested, I have a Colt Gold Cup National Match and a Bren Ten modified for .40 S&W for sale. Disregard the Strassel’s Machine and Iberia stampings. These definitely aren’t Hi-Points I paid under $100 for. The markings in neon green paint marker are all you need to confirm authenticity. Sarcasm, of course, my Hi-Points are a beloved part of the closet I never open.
