Sunday morning feel good story

| August 25, 2013

Chief Tango sends us another tale to send tingles down your legs. This one is from Florida and involves a Domino pizza guy who was counting the evening’s take after a delivery. He was approached by an enterprising youth seeking to turn his life around with a knife demanding money and threatening to kill the pizza guy;

[Byron Park, a Domino’s employee] pulled out his firearm and fired once toward Kelly, who was struck and pronounced dead at the scene.

“Preliminary evidence in the case demonstrates that the intended victim of the robbery acted in self-defense while being robbed by a violent criminal who was armed with a knife,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey. “The suspect in this investigation was released from prison in 2009, after serving a reduced sentence for similar violent crimes.”

Police say that 32-year-old Fredrick Kelly Jr. had a long history of attempts to turn his life around in a similar fashion.

Such a shame. And he was only seven years away from earning his GED. Fo’Shizzle!

Hondo

Another low-life tool who literally brought a knife to a gunfight.

Good to see the law-abiding citizen was neither hurt nor charged. Can’t say I’ll shed any tears over the perp.

Nik

That warms the cockles of my cold little heart.

Tactical Trunk Monkey

Now, if that evil pizza man had just handed over his hard earned money, he would not have had to use that evil gun to murder that poor man, who was really trying hard to turn his life around….

Sit, I can’t even say that all with a straight face…good on the pizza guy….

Some companies would fire the employee for resisting the robbery attempt.

Frankly Opinionated

One more example of the value of “Stand Your Ground” legal protection. This turd wouldn’t have stopped robbing here if it had been successful, and may have tried it on a mother and young child next. Good job, Pizza delivery guy.

The article doesn’t say if the driver had the “Awww, I’m sorry I had to shoot him”, or the Texas Attitude .

SJ

Good good job pizza guy….but, remember what Kenny Rogers say: don’t count your money at the table.

Mike

If only the guy had been wearing a hoodie

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

Domino’ Pizza – “We will kill any robber in 30 minutes or less or your pizza if free!”

Laughing Wolf

Hate to say it, but don’t be surprised if the driver is fired. Domino’s and Papa John’s in particular have the nasty habit of firing any driver who resists at any time in any way. It’s far cheaper for them to pay off a death benefit (if any) than to be subject to potential liability litigation.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

Another positive outcome, achieved through the use of superior firepower….

One turd killed and removed from society, thousands more to go….
