Saturday feel good story

| August 24, 2013

Chief Tango sends a link from Alabama to make you feel good today when three people tried to turn their lives around by helping themselves to someone else’s property, until an alert property owner thwarted their plans with his evil gun;

According to [Chief Deputy Randy] Christian, deputies responded to a burglary-in-progress call around 6 p.m. at a home in the 6000 block of Blue Creek Road. Upon arriving, authorities learned that trio had broken into three storage buildings and three vehicles before the gun-toting property owner confronted the suspects, holding them at gunpoint until the authorities arrived to investigate.

When first questioned about their alleged actions, the suspects told deputies that they had been given permission by “someone” to be on the property to collect scrap items. The owner refuted their initial claim, prompting the would-be burglars to change their story. They then said the homeowner’s donkey had managed to get outside of the fenced-in property and they were there trying to coax it back inside the fence with a cracker.

Both alibis proved to be false and they were taken into custody then transported to the Jefferson County Jail. The suspects are each being held on bonds totaling $36,000.

It was the damn donkey’s fault, well, that and they ran out of crackers.

For some reason I’m thinking of Shrek and the suspects using thick Scottish brogues to coax the animal back in. “Cae’mere, ye stoopid don-keh.”

OT but it look like the IRS is going after the American Legion now.

Still OT, I saw a blurb on the IRS stuff on the Legion page a few weeks ago. http://www.legion.org/membership/216768/new-irs-rules-legion-posts

@4 – It’s even more obnoxious when you realize that the IRS is refusing to hand information over to a legit Congressional committee, and the request is from both Reps and Dems. http://dailycaller.com/buzz/internal-revenue-service/

In regard to the donkey story, any jackass will tell you that donkeys will eat thistles before they’ll eat crackers. If you give them crackers, you must include beer with them, or it’s no sale.

Donkey?
