Friday feel good story
Top W. Kone sends us a link to today’s feel good story, even though it happened earlier in the week. It seems that the local barber, Calvin Brown, in Columbus, Ohio turned around the life of a young man when the visitor asked for some free money;
Calvin Brown said a man demanded his money and went to reach for a gun in his waistband. Brown said he then hit the guy and shot him. The robbery suspect collapsed at a bank across the street from the shop. He was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in stable condition. Brown has been running Mr. Brown’s Barber Shop on Cleveland Ave. for three decades. He refused to leave after being robbed last year.
Mr. Brown closes with a warning for others;
“Leave these senior citizens alone,” he said. “We ain’t playing. I’m serious. If they come knocking on my door, I got something for them.”
Indeed.

My heart is warmed and I have found a new place to get a haircut if I am ever in Cleveland.
BCousins, it’s in Columbus, OH, on Cleveland Avenue, but it warms the cockles of my heart, too.
Mr. Brown is right: do not mess with senior citizens. We do not suffer fools gladly.
I will be passing through Columbus next month and will make an effort to stop and get my hair done by this man just so I can shake his hand.
Sounds like a business man with a business plan!
Shave and a haircut, two bits!
“Give me your money . . . ”
“BANG! BANG!”
@5; Shave and a haircut, bang bang!
Nice job, Mr. Brown.
If I was near Columbus and still had hair, this man would be my barber.
