US Embassies to close

| August 2, 2013

Fox News reports that most of the US embassies in the Arab Crescent will be closed on Sunday. It’s no big loss really, I mean how much business could they be doing these days anyway?

“We have instructed all U.S. embassies and consulates that would have normally been open on Sunday to suspend operations, specifically on August 4,” a senior State Department official said Thursday night. “It is possible we may have additional days of closing as well.”

Other U.S. officials said the threat was specifically in the Muslim world.

The issue of security abroad has been prominent since the attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, and a string of demonstrations on other U.S. embassies in the Middle East and North Africa.

I’m glad they’re putting the safety of Americans ahead of everything, but, apparently the unspecified threats are coming from that “decimated” al Qaeda. Well, it was decimated before the elections last year, and now it’s not so decimated. About 750 prisoners were freed in Iraq and Pakistan this week by al Qaeda and now we’re tucking in our tails because of an al Qaeda threat. Maybe this drone strategy isn’t working as well as we’ve been told. Think?

Well,if they’re decimated, by definition that means their is 90% of the fuckers still running around

Benghazi–one of the “phony scandals,” in the words of Jay-Jay “Good Times” Carney– is back in the news. John “Kleenex” Bonehead continues to refuse to appoint a special House investigating committee but the damn thing won’t go away and more info is making its way to the light of day, thank goodness.

And, AirCav, that’s where the fun begins – watching those idiots make even bigger fools of themselves in full public view.

And guess who will get blamed for every bit of it?

No! Not Hillary! Someone else… think about it….

NHSparky

I’ve already thought about it. And I’m not comforted by it.

How many more Americans have to die as a result of the incompetence, laziness, and corruption of this administration?

If Bush had been in office, the loopy left would have been screaming for impeachment by September 12th.

Oh, come on now, Sparky. Hillary is getting more nods from the fashion industry than she ever used to. Mrs. Bodaprez has not had a nod in over two years. When one woman doesn’t get the nods from haute couture and another one – a previous rival, in fact – does, things are on the skids for sure.

When was Jackie ever ignored? Women still like the Jackie suit, for pete’s sake. Does anyone hanker after Lady Bird’s duds? Or did they ever? Or Pat Nixon’s things? No, it was Nancy Reagan’s wardrobe that is remembered.

Something’s in the air. (I’m not kidding about HC and MO, either. Or the rest of it.)

ATTENTION TERRORISTS.

WE ARE CLOSED FOR THE DAY. PLEASE LEAVE A THREAT OR ATTACK US LATER IN THE WEEK. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS ONE-DAY CLOSURE MAY CAUSE YOU. THANKS.

@6 Coffee on the laptop screen! I say we should close them all permanently. Withdraw diplomacy from nations who make it public, they hate us, they want us dead and the think Benghazi was a good idea to be repeated as often as possible. But there are not enough balls in Washington all piled together to ever make a policy like this.

Common Sense

I say we combine MMA-style watching with The Truman Show: pull all Americans and allies out of the area, cordon off the area like a middle school fight, and have NSA use all their toys to broadcast a live feed of the results. HBO can broadcast it for $12.99. We could watch them all kill each other off and we can start over.

Doesn’t Smurfs 2 open this weekend? The State Department is probably just concerned about spontaneous gatherings of disgruntled movie critics.

A Proud Infidel & Patriot

Today, the Embassies and Consulates close. Monday, they begin blaming Bush for this, THEIR mess!

I wonder if this is a ploy to keep from doing furloughs ?

Damn! And here I was planning to spend a quiet week taking in the sights of Cairo and Dubai. I might go anyway as I’m sure it can’t be any worse than Detroit and Chicago.

Golly, here’s a shocker. The US government is not opening its many embassies in Muslim countries today. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. Or the remainder of the week. So, there you go. We will not kowtow to terrorism. We will not run and hide from evil. Oh, ‘scuse me. That was an earler adminitstration’s view, not this one’s. My theory is that obamaman does not want his multi-million dollar vacation plans spoiled by a another embassy attack.
