Snowden indicted
The Feds have asked Hong Kong to detain and extradite Ed Snowden, the Booze-Allen/NSA leaker. Hong Kong does indeed have an extradition treaty with the US and is usually pretty quick to comply with requests. From Fox News;
The three-count complaint includes “theft of government property,” “unauthorized communication of national defense information” and “willful communication of classified communications of intelligence information to an unauthorized person.” The latter two are charges under the Espionage Act.
Sen. Bill Nelson, a Florida Democrat and a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee who has been outspoken on the Snowden case, said Friday night, “I’ve always thought this was a treasonous act. Apparently so does the U.S. Department of Justice. I hope Hong Kong’s government will take him into custody and extradite him to the U.S.”
According to the Washington Post, Icelandic businessman, Olafur Vignir Sigurvinsson, says that he has a plane standing by to take Snowden to Iceland. Iceland also has an extradition treaty with the US dating to the days of Teddy Roosevelt, so it’s unclear that they would abide by it today.

It’ll be interesting to see if this plays out like an episode of “Catch Me If You Can.”
Just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser.
@1 With you on that. This guy has enough libtards to help him out it could be tough to get him back here. I am surprised Hollywood hasn’t had a fund raiser for him yet.
@3 I’m sure someone is already drafting the screenplay.
@4-TMB, I don’t know about you-but I see PeeWee Herman as the lead role.
Maybe someone recently in the news as his love interest-Paula Deen.
@5 an @6 LMAO. With Jane Fonda as his mom.
@7 I thought about her-but didn’t want to promote the possibility of incest on this site!
I’d bet that Snowned skips behind the Bamboo Curtin and dissapears. Just like Julie Asshinge hiding in an embacy.
@7-especially when it is anal incest!
@8 and @10 LMAO. Coffee through the nose again.
Julian Assange is calling himself “Olafur Vignir Sigurvinsson” these days?
Who knew?
And no. Iceland won’t abide by the extradition treaty, and Obama lacks the stones to make Iceland comply with the treaty.
Come on, you people. This is a blow to Obama, a big one. Hussein is having frosted nuts for breakfast this morning, his own. How can that be bad?
These leakers and whistle blowers are revealing our governments attacks on US, and not just their spying elsewhere, and Obama and his Muslim/Libtard thugs are turning America into a Big Brother dictatorship with the programs that people like Snowden and Assange are revealing to the world.
You need to choose. What’s more important to you, some imaginary safety from terror attacks that Obama the Liar says he’s saved you from, or keeping our Constitution intact and our country free? Because that’s what this is really all about.
@13 Not a chance this is about a whistle blower protecting the constitution, this is a guy who’s a spy without a patron. He planned and executed a theft of classified documents. Now he’s trying to find a soft place to land so he can profit from his crime. Snowden is a criminal, traveling without legal papers through nations where he would be summarily executed for his actions were he a citizen of those nations. Hardly the actions of a constitutional protector and defender of freedoms.
It’s a reflection of our wonderful relationships with the favored nation trading partner of China, and our current state of political cooperation with Russia in how easily Snowden travels in these places.
I’m no fan of John Kerry but he was right when he said, “Snowden must have chosen China and Russia as they are well known as bastions of free speech and personal liberty for those who leak documents”….
funny, watched “Safe House” last night… wonder whether this guy thinks he’s Ryan Reynolds?
