Ventura contemplates 2016 prez run
Yesterday we read that Jimmy Janos, the former governor of Minnesota and current crank, has decided to sue a grieving widow because of his chapter in her husband’s book. Today we read in the Washington Times that he thinking about running for President in 2016;
Ventura volunteered the possibility while at Minnesota’s Capitol on Friday — and pushed back against skepticism that he would re-enter the fray after being out of office since 2003.
He says the next race is “an opportune time” for an independent like him to run because there will be no incumbent. He says he’s approached radio shock jock Howard Stern about being his running mate.
Yeah, that’s a brilliant strategy, sue a widow and then run for President. I might skip voting that year if the only choices are a Bite Me/Nanny Bloomberg ticket or a Mr. Scruff Face/King of all Assholes lineup.

What an egomaniac.
Gee, I didn’t know there was a Douchebag Party out there. Should be real popular when the masses find out the head douche is suing the widow of a murder victim.
Sparky, you left out the part about ‘leader of a paranoid conspiracy group’.
Janos went and ‘INVESTIGATED’ the newly constructed Denver International Airport, and came to the conclusion that it’s built to house “only certain people of the New World Order” because the excavation for construction was “TOO BIG TO JUST EXPLAIN AIRPLAINES”.
Just like “Idiocracy.” Professional wrestler becomes president.
Aw, come on, guys. Janos’ favorite proof of how everything is a conspiracy is that “I was a governor and a navy SEAL, with a security clearance, and they won’t even tell ME what they’re doing” or something thereabouts. How is that different than the lines Obama, Holder, and their IRS buddies are using now?
I contend that we already have a Jimmy Janos in charge. Everything is just a big conspiracy that he has no involvement in. Except the SEALs. Obama and Jimmy know all about what the SEALs do.
If he actually does this, let me suggest an appropriate campaign theme song for Jimmy-boy: Green Day’s American Idiot.
Not sure if he was always insane or if this was a more recent turn of the mind but tt doesn’t seem that his time as governor improved his mental health.
Wowzers! He’s just another publicity whore seeking attention. We all know that his campaign will go nowhere.
In fairness to us Minnesotans, he was only mildly crazy when he was in office-I guess he was on his meds back then.
Now I’m not sure why the media still covers him, unless it draws readers/viewers for the ‘batshit crazy update’.
@6 Excellent choice, I fear the theme for the rest of us in that case though would be the Stones,
“(I Can’t Get No)Satisfaction”
@9 Dave Thul – I was out of state and still in uniform when he was in office back home but that was the impression I had as well. He didn’t seem like he was anything like this level of crazy then.
You and me must be running are running on the same thought lines there, Hondo. lol.
PH- DIA actually let him go on airport property with camera’s? If they did, someones ass should be in a major sling…Too big for airplanes??? Too bad Janos doesn’t understand the term “Room for expansion” either.
You guys are right. Ventura is an megalomaniac. His giant melon is full of more shit than the Christmas turkey. But there is no common sense coming out of his mouth. I am surprised he doesn’t have a secret squirrel hide away in northern Idaho. He should run for WWF champ in 2016 and let the professionals play politics. Following his press tells me he is a big time conspiracy guru. He sees world domination by the likes of the Bilderbergers everywhere. Oh and by the way, those con trails you see from airliners are really chem trails to poison the masses into zombies. Thanks Jesse for all the laughs you loud mouth!
@12 – Streetsweeper, yes, he was actually there with an ‘assistant’ and someone with a camera. They were shooting the murals on the walls and a plaque set up by the airport, all of which, per Janos’s conspiracy theory, was specifically designed to lead the ‘special people’ to the giant sanctuary beneath the airport.
I know he was in a dangerous, lethal job when he was in the Navy. UDT is in the same bracket as EOD, as far as I’m concerned, because it isn’t just about blowing up stuff, it’s about keeping it from killing the good guys. If he had set off on a career writing war novels and embellishing that, I’d have a lot of respect for that.
Instead, he turns himself into a sewer on legs.
There was a time that I really liked this guy and he made sense. He has made a long slide downhill since then. He is just getting crazier and crazier. Cheese is completely off the cracker.
I don’t want to scare any small children or people with fragile emotions, but he’s had more than cheese slide off his crackers. I think someone’s letting the air out of him. I know that, as we age, we all begin to look a bit dowdy. But THIS is beyond dowdy:

Do not say I did not warn you.
@6 – I suggest “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath.
We have found Ron Paul’s replace.
Beware the Chin!
i’ll bet that ol alex jones will be his PR spokesperson and feet cleaner! jeesh,,the dude has no shame what so ever.
Mr. Bill: not a bad choice either. Beck’s “Loser” would also be apropos IMO.
I’m interested in the “SEAL VS Non SEAL” argument over his service. Did anybody get his 214 and settle this?
Jonp, per Chief Shipley’s report, Janos went to BUD/S and was assigned to an underwater demolition team (UDT) on graduation. It was an admin choice, some were selected for UDT and some were selected for SEALs. Janos was UDT. At the time, the two were separate from each other. They were combined into a single force later.
Clown.
@ #14- Ex-PH: Thanks, got it! Add Kokesh to Janos’s short list of spokeperson too. The three of them fit together like a hand in a leather glove.
Fuck that fucking fuck.
@9/11: I concur. He wasn’t this off the reservation back then, but it was still all about Jesse. His ego grew while he was the governor and he’s always been thin skinned when dealing with critics or the media. He did some good things, like when he lowered the fee for license plates, but that, too was because he didn’t like paying such a high price for plates for his Porsche every year.
