Storage locker wars get serious
A pawnshop owner in Clinton, NJ found a vest in his inventory that he bought from a storage locker. The vest had wires and batteries sticking out, so he called the police. Always up for some drama, the police blew the vest up;
The explosion rocked a portion of downtown Clifton early Friday.

A four-block area was evacuated Thursday night as bomb squad members inspected and destroyed the device.
No injuries were reported.
Police have not yet identified what the device was or who it belonged to.
Now, I don’t have to justify my budget to anyone, so I get to speculate rationally. And I’m guessing it’s one of those hunting vests that have a heating device in it. I might have arrived at that conclusion well before someone decided to blow it up.
KenW sent us that link and he said that his thoughts were that some terrorist hadn’t got his BAQ this month so he pawned his suicide vest to buy Pampers for the crumb-snatchers. He also said that there’s a Duffel Blog article in there somewhere. Or someone might have booby-trapped their storage locker misunderstanding what “Storage Wars” mean.
Category: Who knows
Being stationed in NJ, majority of the people honestly don’t understand hunting anything. They see somebody in camo that isn’t military they think something is up and get all suspicious. I know a few of my friends were pulled over going to a paintball tournament cause the gas attendant thought they looked suspcious with “military” style mask and all in woodland camo.
The cops were wearing multicam no doubt.
Did anyone check with Achmed the Dead Terrorist about this?
Too funny. I have a heated jacket for motorcycle riding in the cold, thermostat and everything.
So, it was not explosive and the police’s current opinion is that it was a movie prop.

Still think there’s an Al Queda cell leader out there somewhere looking for a suicide vest to sign over for his change of command inventory…
If the police can’t figure out what are explosives and what aren’t then that city needs new police officers.
Did the police need the Feds to hold their hands and comfort them in this time of crisis?
We are becoming a nation of scared idiots……..
