Hi, fellow fringe dwellers

| April 18, 2013

An ad for this keeps popping up on my Facebook thingie;

Giffords Kelly

I guess we’re the “ideological fringe” that needs to be defeated because we don’t want to be told what we can buy. Or maybe Markie is just mad because his attempt to own an AR15-style rifle was thwarted by the very same people he sought to demonize.

How many times do we have to tell these cranks that the “big money” that the NRA throws at Congress is OUR money and they’re doing what their 4 million members pay them to do – pay for our influence.

By the way, I got three more 30-round magazines for the Ruger today. I forgot I’d back-ordered them – I guess the logjam is breaking. Now if I could only find some .223 ammo for them. I stocked up on 5.56mm green tips, but I need .223 now – .223 that doesn’t cost $1/round.

I hear ya. I just bought a Sig Sauer M400. Mags are not too hard to come by if you’re willing to pay $30 each, but ammo is still ridiculously expensive and scarce. The store had TWO boxes of .223 at $18 each and they only let me buy one. I don’t even want to think about what a case of Lake City is going for.

And Mark? Thanks to you and your fellow liberals scare tactics, you’ve created such a run on these guns I could have made one hell of a profit were I so inclined to sell my new gun. But I happen to want to hang on to it for a while, regardless of the availability of ammo.

DaveO

Did Kelly or Giffords ever sell their AR-15s that they already had?

Did they do a background check? Or, just give them away.

So much drama.

The whole gun control debate was a smoke screen to keep folks from looking at the Amnesty deal closely enough to discover how truly bad it is: unenforceable (ACLU promises a decade-long lawfare on it), and it grants citizenship to illegals here,PLUS their family members in Mexico or wherever, plus grants citizenship to the illegals we did manage to deport.

Predict unemployment among African-American males goes north of 60% by the end of 2013.

One of the first lessons I learned as a child was not to lie. A bit later, the lesson was that if someone must lie about who they are or what they represent, then they and their cause are not worthy of being associated with normal people.

These folks have lied so much that apparently even they believe the lies. Doesn’t change the simple fact that they are lying. And that when it becomes this pathological, it is actually a mental disorder.

They are indeed dangerous. We know it. They know it, and they know that we know it. It’s why they are acting less and less rational each day.

I’m looking at the pic and I gotta ask: Which one was shot?

SJ

I HAD sympathy for Giffords. That is waning.

Shot, Over

I always report those ads as “offensive”….and reload, it’s cheaper!

A Proud Infidel

Their antics just make me wonder how much more petty and juvenile they’re going to get? I also wonder how generous of a salary they’re going to treat themselves to from their “Foundation”‘s funds from donators?

Ex-PH2

Thanks to these two and the obscene way they and other people are milking the sympathy for victims right out of me, I’m beginning to have a faint desire for Mateba Model 6. Not because I need one, just because it’s pretty.

This gratuitous ‘look at the victims’ theater is becoming more and more offensive.

Fatcircles0311

Lobbying is only good if you’re on the left. This man went from respectable astronaught to scum of the earth political lobbyist whore. And they have the balls to act like their shit doesn’t stink. What phony hacks.

AW1 Tim

If you want something to make you go hmm….

Look up the name Julius Streicher and compare his image to that of Mark. Scary resemblance there.

Smaj

Mark “The Professional Husband” Kelly can stick his ideological fringe up his fat, roomy ass. There is a special, extremely unpleasant place in hell waiting for him.

faboutlaws

It is unfortunate that she was shot, but we dont owe her the Second Amendment as compensation.

A Proud Infidel

@#12, Smaj, Maybe we need to start referring to him as “Mr. Gabrielle Giffords” just like I’ve referred to James Brolin as “Mr. Barbara Streisand”?!

Ex-PH2

AW1 Tim, you’re creeping me out. I kept thinking Markie boy simply looks like Uncle Fester, but Streicher? That Nazi propaganda magnate? Now I’m going to be sick.

Spade

Big money?

Lol, Bloomberg alone spent as much as the NRA did.

Also, I totally panic bought an uzi.

Eric

@14: That’s why I call John Kerry “Mr Heinz” another billionaire asshole talking smack about millionaires as evil corporations. Um, yeah… (No wonder nobody likes John Kerry)

@16: I concur.

Its funny, whenever its conservative or non-democratic party “money” then its evil corporations, people buying washington, fringes, etc.

When its democratic money its “fighting for your voice to be heard in Washington!”

Oh but wait, you CAN buy votes in DC, its okay….totally LEGAL. Why? Because elected officials made it LEGAL so they could be bought.

In most states if you “buy” sex, you can go to jail. In DC, if you “buy” a representative, you’re a lobbyist constituent.

PhillyandBCEagles

@11, Kelly and Streicher also bear a striking resemblance to my alma mater’s new football coach, Steve Addazio

Nik

@17

In most states if you “buy” sex, you can go to jail. In DC, if you “buy” a representative, you’re a lobbyist constituent.

Makes sense to me.

If you buy sex, you’re paying someone to screw you.

If you buy a representative, you’re paying someone to screw someone else.

PowerPoint Ranger

I pointed out the money thing to another ranting, ignorant asshole on Facebook today. If money were the only factor, Bloomberg would have won by default at the beginning of the whole deal. These people will cling to the fantasy that the evil NRA with unlimited money is just buying everyone off, because they’re so dependent on that mental security blanket at this point.

NHSparky

Stop it, people–you’re using facts and reason, and that shit just won’t fly when the left has an agenda to push!

2/17 Air Cav

@17. Kerry can pretend to hate millionaires and American corporations. After all, he married into his wealth. It’s not like he actually earned the riches. It’s like having mumsie and dadsie foot the bill for your Ivy League (or University of Miami law school education, only to waste time and their money in stoopid activities that advance nothing other than your FB frieding numbers.

USMCE8Ret

@3 – You ask if Mark obtained the AR-15? My understanding is the gun dealer cancelled the sale once he found out it would be considered a straw purchase, being that he was going to “surrender it” to the local P.D.

Seems the gun dealer was observing the law. The astro-nut wasn’t.

jerry920

Wouldn’t “ideological fringe” and “big money and influence”, be an oxymoron? I mean, how do you have big money and influence if you’re only a fringe ideologue? Unless you aren’t.

Joe

“I guess we’re the “ideological fringe…..” You’re starting to get it.

UpNorth

@25, says the permanent resident of the lunatic fringe. Hey Joey, your buddy Sippy the retard got his ass banned yesterday. Now you have no kindred spirits here, so why don’t you head on back to Kos, and hang with your intellectual(?) equals.

teddy996

@25- cry about it.

PintoNag

Nah, UpNorth, I have to agree with Joe on this. Middle-class, working, non-freeloading, religious, conservative, gun-owning, tax-payers are moving toward the fringe in this country, if the last election is any indication.

By God, maybe we can get ourselves declared an endangered species, and get all that legal protection…ya think?

A Proud Infidel

That, PintoNag, or we have ourselves declared as a “Minority” and enjoy the ride!

Joe

26 – Make my day Up.

A Proud Infidel

Boy Joe, did you even make it to the fourth grade before you dropped out of school and started drawing welfare?

Joe

Some of you, in your infinite smugness, assume that conservatives are the only non-freeloading, taxpaying citizens. Quite the contrary. Let me remind you the the most conservative states are the ones doing the most freeloading off the federal gov’t in terms of dollars in and out.

Twist

Joe, Alaska is one of those “welfare States”. 60% of Alaska is owned by the Federal Government, to include a certain mountain named after Ohio’s favorite son. There are four major Military bases, multiple smaller ones, and the missile defense system. I guess you think that Alaska should just pay for all of the Feds stuff all on it’s own.

Twist

I also dare you to break each State down and see what percentage of the money goes to blue areas as opposed to red.

2/17 Air Cav

@32. As long as your going off to parts unknown, Joe, at least take some spray paint to mark your way for the return trip.

PintoNag

I’m wondering how long it’s going to take Joe to realize he’s not as liberal as he likes to think he is? Not according to our definition of liberal, anyway.

Nik

Judging from @25, it appears Joe and the idea of sarcasm never really got acquainted.

UpNorth

Joey, I’m not affiliated with TAH, except to post here. And, what makes you think that you’re worth the effort to ban? You aren’t profane, like your butt buddy, Sippy. You just think like him and believe in the same stuff. IOW, you’re a liberal retard.
I’d bet that you’re as heart-broken as David Sirota is, that the guys in Boston didn’t turn out to be Christian, Tea Party members.

Old Trooper

@39: Well, the ricin dude they busted has a bumper sticker on his car that says “Christian and a Democrat”. I guess if Joe wants to twist himself into knots, he could attempt to ‘splain how that guy is a rightwing extremist/tea party/militia/white supremist.

PintoNag

@39 Joe’s just all full of himself because he got his very own thread here.

Thunderstixx

Markie boy is just pissed at himself for not being there with her to protect her is my guess…

I know I would be if it were my wife.

Ex-PH2

Not to change the subject, but more because people like Joey-boy and Kelly have nothing to do now so they makes a pests of themselves by saying and doing stupid things, maybe what happened in Boston will turn attention away from scary guns to something more important, like – oh, say, finding radicals who want to blow us all to bits?

I keep having this feeling that I’m seeing a flashback to the days of the Weather Underground and the SDS in all of this, but I may be wrong.

And as side note, Joey-boy is a boring, whiny, unimaginative, wet-nosed, self-involved, attention-seeking little SNOT, who has nothing important to say to anyone.

obsidian

I knew she would be persuaded to join the anti gun groups, it was too sweet a deal to exploit a crisis.
Funny how our rights are alright to destroy but their abortion rights are untouchable even after Gosnells liberal house of horror.
Now even though there are more items to ban they still are stuck on guns.
Backpacks, Pressure cookers, marathons and crowds are all there to ban yet there is nothing said of these obviously lethal items.
