Karzai accuses US and Taliban of collusion

| March 10, 2013

Apparently, Joe Biden has had an influence on Afghan President Hamid Karzai, because Karzai just lets whatever garbage is in his head slip past his lips. According to the Washington Times, this morning, he charged that the US is working in concert with the Taliban to justify keeping combat troops in Afghanistan past 2014;

“The explosions in Kabul and Khost yesterday showed that they are at the service of America and at the service of this phrase: 2014. They are trying to frighten us into thinking that if the foreigners are not in Afghanistan, we would be facing these sorts of incidents,” he said during a nationally televised speech about the state of Afghan women.

Yeah, because nothing can entice more young people to join the military like the possibility of getting one’s ass shot off in some shithole stuck in the 7th century. Personally, I’d rather see the troops pulled out yesterday than fighting a war that no one wants to allow them to win.

He REALLY wants his cash flow cut off, doesn’t he?

B Woodman

#1 Ex-PH2,
Nah. With this Asshole-in-Chief and the current administration in charge, Karzai knows the money flow will continue even long after this country has collaped into bankruptcy. The Dems WANT to continue the foreign aid, the RINOs are spineless, and the TEA Party/conservatives are too few yet.

And as Jonn (and everyone else here has said), get our troops out of that 7th century shithole beyond NOW, get ’em out YESTERDAY.

Makes me wonder whether Gordon Duff and Karzai weren’t separated at birth.

I want some of whatever type of hashish/other compound ol’ Hamid here is smoking. He’s obviously lost touch with the world around him. But in spite of that he seems to be doing well physically, is in good spirits, and apparently has visions that are vivid enough to override reality and common sense.

Ex-PH2

Don’t you just wonder if he sits in a room with mind pudding music playing, mumbling “the colors….the colors”?

Green Thumb

This dude needs to catch a round….

What’s the over/under on this asshats time of survival after the US leaves? I got three months.

Ex-PH2

@7 – I’d give him two, unless he scrambles out of country the second the US actually vacates the premises.

Common Sense

Talk about biting the hand that feeds him!

But since we just gave the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt $250 million, plus jets and tanks, I’m sure he feels comfortable saying anything he wants to and still expects the goods.

This is just raw meat for his base. He has a history of making these outrageous statements for local consumption. I bet that he sneaks out of the country before all of us get out. My only concern is that when the country falls we offer sanctuary to half a million afghans. Because you know there will be some Islamists among the hoard.

@7. Fast Frankie, my Vegas guy, hasn’t set a line yet because, he says, the scuttlebutt is that Karzai may make a premature exit and not be in country to wave bye-bye.

CI Roller Dude

I think this just proves the idea that “they’re all fucking retards.” Start the B52s and bomb the shit out of AF until there’s nobody left…then add the rest of them fucked up countries to the list.

#10. I was going to jump in and say the same thing. He wants to show he’s not an American stooge, so he makes ludicrous statements like that. His base eats it up.

Ex-PH2

@11 – I would actually go with the premature exit, myself.

@7–I’m with Roger. He’ll stuff as much cash into a plane (or some VCR tapes, I hear there’s a skank in NC who’s good at that) and be sitting in London, Paris, or some other place by the end of the year, pissing and moaning how those evil Americans forced him out…waaaaah.
