I get lots of email…most of it is from you guys sending me tips and sharing funny stuff. I love getting email from you, but there’s a darker element that thinks they can change my mind on issues.
I used to have a policy that I wouldn’t publish the emails I get from readers, but I get some of the stupidest people emailing me these days. Usually I just send them to TSO and COB6 and we giggle about them, but why should I leave you, my loyal readers, out? So here’s one I got yesterday in reference to my other blog Tall and Rich from a guy who calls himself Calico Jack. I love the way he just starts in talking knowing what my response will be before I even read his mail;

You have no idea of the corruption in Colombia..and as far as Oliver Stone goes..my brother served 18 months in Vietnam and since he has been back there is only one film that shakes him to his core.Platoon.I suppose you think the film Double Crossed is a pack of lies too. yea.. that is why your government tried to ban it..cause it was fiction..yea right..soon so many will know the truth when my film gets released. What Oliver-stupid-Stone has to do with Colombia or what Colombia has to do with Platoon, I’ll never know. Notice the part that says my government tried to ban some movie – I asked him if he had proof that the US government tried to ban a movie…that would make a good blog post if he could get me some proof. So he answers;

The Canadian Government does not know what to do with the Orwellian “1984” monstrosity that they created. I, as an American lawyer schooled in U.S. First Amendment law, don’t know what to make of Canadian law. In my opinion, and apparently many Canadians’ opinion, their country has literally gone entirely insane. Check out websites like “Small Dead Animals,” “Five Feet of Fury,” “Blazing Cat Fur,” and, perhaps (I haven’t hit it lately) “Daily Bayonet.” Canadians are currently fighting the rear-guard action that WE (in the U.S.) need to strike down, notwithstanding all of Europe’s and Canada’s ultimate SURRENDER to political correctness. Of course, the Canadians surrendered their weapons (firearms) to the transnational progressives (er, people precisely like OBAMA), so they are a captive nation now. The Canadians are no longer permitted by law to have “dangerous” weapons that might be used to re-capture their Government from idiotic Ass-tards who have seized control of their Government. If radical Islamo-fascists “tell” them what they HAVE to think a “certain way,” lest they (Canadian Surrender-crats, no difference from American Democrat Surrender-crats)) be declared anti-multi-culturalist, then Canadians MUST think a certain way (at least, within the constraints of their law).
Well, this probably doesn’t even warrant a response but what the hell. I too have been to Colombia, many times; in fact, going again next month.
This guy is certifiable and should be institutionalized.

PS: PLATOON was a way over sensationalized piece of crap movie; not unlike all of Stone’s “art”.

Thanks for sharing! Being very close to Canada and haveing very good friends that live there causes me to take several trips a year to this beautiful country. As you know I’m a biker and as such I am not permited to travel freely in this neighboring country. I am detained at the border, once this year when going into Alberta because of the huge meth problem they have, while detained we stood and watched several, what could have been meth kitchens on wheels, huge campers pass with the standard question “how long are you going to be in Canada”. I have also ben subjected to random questioning at public places like gas stations while enjoying a soda and a short break after buying gas. That’s happened 3 times buy the way. I had an instance where I think I may have actually had a discussion with Calico Jack or at least one of his close relitives. When he realized that I was a biker he had to tell me how everybody in Canada knew that the “Hell’s Angles sold drugs to support the Taliban” Canada is a great country and like America they have their nut jobs, but if he wants to talk about government confiscating citizens work, art or nonfiction, what did his government do with the web site “Real Deal News” a site that on a constant basis showed the corruption and gave the facts that the main stream (read;liberal) media either omits or misrepresents.
Clearly this is a cry for help. Schizophrenia is a horrible mental affliction. Terribly sad.
