Are you channeling Zero?

Nik

Gonna try not to read too much into this article.

Flagwaver

I’m just wondering if he will commit suicide before he is able to testify… whether he wants to or not…

NHSparky

Interesting? That’s an understatement.

Ex-PH2

Stand back. You don’t want to be in range when someone hits the switch on the fan.

See, this is why politics makes a great spectator sport.

NHSparky

Provided you’re not in the blast radius, PH2. Maybe Petraeus figures WTF, he’s got nothing to lose now.

H1

Wonder where he stashed his failsafe info bomb.
The one that triggers if @4 governs.

Twist

“Petraeus agrees to testify on Libya before congressional committees”

Like he had a choice.

Just Plain Jason

I don’t think he ever intended to not testify. I think someone thought they might have something to hold over his head, but that kinda blew up in their face.

@10

I’m hoping that really is the case.

Well, I know a number of people here are expecting him to blow a lid off a conspiracy… but I’ll be shocked if that’s the case because I honestly don’t think there’s anything to reveal. Were some mistakes made? Possibly, though I’d still wager they were ‘understandable’ mistakes, not horrible ones. Conspiracy though? Not bloody likely.

On a different note, Jill Kelley and her sister now also appear tied to a cancer charity in her husband’s name that did little charity and lots of travel, parties, etc. These women seem more and more like the Kardashians, only in political circles rather than entertainment.

“Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said, “Americans are tired of division,” and urged Republicans to give on the tax-rate issue.”

Typical. “We want to work with the Republicans…we want bipartisanship…we want consensus” is Lib-Speak for “Do it our way, Bitch”.

Nik

Bah. Strike @13. I was in the totally ass-wrong place. My bad.

Whitey_wingnut

Petraeus is going to and yet Pants suit doesn’t have time because she’ll be with friends wine tasting in Australia….fascinating.

GEN Petraeus is about to get demolished by the Obamabot zombie MSM – wall to wall full attack mode…release the Kraken.

Also, Chuck K is on to something here…

In regard to this pending Congressional investigation about what exactly happened in Libya, I have an observation that may not seem related to it, but is. I was in the car, listening to NPR’s playback of the Congressional investigation into the rising number of deaths from injection of a fungal infection in a steroid compounded by NECC in Massachusetts. If you have been paying attention, the number of infected patients is rising, as is the death rate. When the FDA Commissioner, Margaret Hamburg, was asked a direct “yes” or “no” question by one of the Congressmen on the investigatory committee in regard to whether or not the FDA had the authority to shut the facility down (yes, you do or no, you don’t) Ms. Hamburg began a rambling, disconnected response that indicated she had no intention of answering the question directly, no matter how many times she was asked to respond with “yes” or “no”. If you think this has no bearing on any other pending and/or future Congressional investigations under the current administration, think again. I was so incensed by that woman’s obnoxious attempts to deflect the question and refuse to answer it that I started snapping at the radio “Answer the damn question, bitch!” While we will all agree (well, most of us will) that there is no excuse for this kind of thing, remember that we’re dealing with an administration that doesn’t want any “bad” stuff getting into the news outlets about its incompetence. I also listened briefly to BO’s press conference on the way to the gas station. As usual, he waffled, “and-uh’d” and could not seem to form a coherent sentence without a prompter. Just remember, he may have been re-elected, but Nixon was forced out of office and Clinton was impeached. If there is enough justifiable anger about the miscreance in DC, it won’t stay below surface for very long. The first sign of it is those petitioins to seceded. They may be only representative of public anger, but they make an effective statement. Petraeus and Allen got themselves into a mess, when they… Read more »

Ex-PH2: the main thing I got out of Obama’s regurgitation of his 2008 talking points was his anger at Fox News’s reporter asking him a straight question on whether he did or did not do anything to protect the Ambassador.

So long as Reid controls the Senate, and Holder controls DOJ (and those with police powers still listen to him), Congress has zero ability to conduct oversight. Which allows the dumb b*tch to not answer the questions.

As for me, I’m starting to wonder if there was an actual affair involving physical contact, and Petraeus is just freed himself.

Ex-PH2

Now that question is very perceptive.

Spew alert! Put the liquids down, swallow, and then open the link.

This is the photo sent to Jill Kelley by the FBI agent:

Had heard a discription of the pic earlier and it did not sound particularly prurient. And it isn’t really.

Big whoop. Along with a number of other big whoops.

Just an observation (not a justification of anything) but if I were receiving unwanted emails from someone and they turned into something remotely threatening, I would be reporting them to law enforcement. It would not take several thousand of them to get me there. Not sure that has much to do with anything, but I keep stumbling over that thought when media types somewhat ridicule this Kelly person for reporting the emails to the FBI. That would be one of the places I would consider reporting email threats myself, so that doesn’t seem all that strange to me. Multiple thousands before having had enough of it? That part seems strange.

@20

Dude looks like someone left him in a dehydrator for a week.
