Not everyone in DC is hiding from the rain
They closed federal offices today in DC in preparation for the heavy rain that will finally wash away the filth covering the city, but meanwhile, Specialist Brett Hyde was walking his post, doing what you pay him to do.
The caption of the above photo reads;

The Old Guard members have also been filling and depositing sandbags ahead of the storm.

#16 The DU thread is… surprising me. They’re outright banning people bashing the soldiers and the grave site and more than a few are arguing amongst themselves. Still a lot of stupid floating about though.
True, some are defending the Old Guard soldiers at the Tomb, but enough of them are bashing them and our troops in general. Far too many, in fact.

I love DU. It reveals the true Progressive mindset. It’s a place they feel among their own, where they’re able the let the mask slip and reveal their true selves, guarded by an Internet handle.
